I've been to Perky Beans next door for a coffee but never got a chance to stop by PB Cafe. My sister and I stopped in for a bite to eat and the wait was around 35 minutes for the two of us considering it is a popular, smaller sized cafe. It was 100% worth the wait as the food was absolutely delicious! The service was great-- our server Jillian was attentive and friendly. The steak sandwich was flavorful, and the steak was tender. The chimichurri complimented the whole sandwich, while the tomato added a fresh kick. This is definitely my new go to spot for lunch as it's right by my house, well priced, and tasty.

If breakfast had a hall of fame, Perky Beans Coffee & PB Café would already have a gold jacket hanging up. Came in hungry, left questioning every other country fried steak I've ever eaten--because this one just ruined the competition. Crispy, tender, smothered in perfection... easily the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the cinnamon roll French toast, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it felt illegal how good it was. Like dessert disguised as breakfast in the best way possible. And don't sleep on the strawberry cream cheese pancakes--they're the kind of good that makes you pause mid-bite and rethink your life choices. Then there are the bacon twists... I don't even have the words. Just order them. Trust me. Shoutout to Olivia, our server--absolute rockstar. Super friendly, on point, and made the whole experience even better. Bottom line: every time we come here, it's a win. Great food, great vibes, great people. If you leave hungry, that's on you.

This strikes me as a very ordinary coffee shop. Perky Beans has some great names for coffee, but other than that I don't find this shop standing out from other independent coffee shops. I ordered a Bull Frog coffee; it had white chocolate and mint. It was disappointing. I barely noticed any mint. I also ordered a mocha. It was lovely with a good balance of mocha that wasn't overly sweet or with a heavy texture. I love the way the two-go coffees are sealed with very strong stickers; they held up well on my drive home. Taking one off and on during my drive, the sticker stayed secure. It also had a really cute owl on it. If I'm in the area, I'll certainly pop back in; however, I won't be going out of my way to return.

Im always amazed at how happy and engaging the staff is here. Atmosphere is always bustling and a bit loud but in a good lively way. Great food and coffee, and I am always enticed to try new dishes. Apparently they also started dinner service. I'll definitely have to try dinner too!

Perky Beans really lives up to its name--it's a cheerful way to start the day with hearty food, great coffee, and genuinely friendly staff. There are actually two spots under the Perky Beans name: the original coffee shop and PB Café, the full-service restaurant. This review is for the café. Even on a weekday morning, the place was buzzing, nearly every table full. Fortunately, I managed to snag the last open seat. I was greeted right away with a warm smile, handed a menu, and asked for my drink order. Without hesitation, I blurted out, "Coffee!"--the kind of morning where please came later. True to form, my server returned quickly with a steaming cup, and I made sure to say thank you that time. I ordered the Big 'Ol Breakfast: eggs, sausage, ham, home fries, and a side of pancakes. The first bite instantly took me back to the kind of old-school diners I used to visit in my youth. Everything had that unmistakable farm-fresh taste and comforting, down-home quality. The food was not only delicious but arrived surprisingly fast, which added to the welcoming, "homey" vibe of the place. Checkout their menu, it's a classic take on diner options but PB kicks it up a notch with such creative offerings on French toast, waffles, and Bennie's. The staff deserve extra credit for rolling with my "coffee first, manners later" attitude--they were gracious, patient, and attentive throughout. Between the hearty meal, the quick service, and the warm atmosphere, PB Café felt like stepping into a classic country diner with a touch of small-town charm.

My friends and I have been buying coffee at Perky Beans since open and have been having breakfast at PB Cafe since they open. The restaurant reminds me of small town diner dining. The young woman at the coffee counter was super nice when she took our orders and even brought our drinks to the table. When we are all in attendance, we moved over to the cafe side and were immediately seated by Amanda. She was very nice and patient as we like to talk before ordering. The food was delivered quickly from the open kitchen. Real chefs cooking real fresh food. I had the chicken fried streak and home roasted potatoes. Everything had a wonderful taste. Shoutout to Amanda for keeping our coffee cups full and putting up with our silly teasing.

Food: 8/10 - The sandwich was yummy! don't love the bite size style but still great. 8/10 - fries were also good just a little salty. 7/10 - Pancakes were delicious but the CC was overpowering, don't need syrup or butter with it. 8/10 - side of sausage patties were average, wish they were links 7/10 Ambiance: 7/10 - cafe style, close together and a little hustle and bustle but it was nice! less than 10 min wait at 12pm on a sunday, probably at its busiest so not bad at all. This really should be a 5-star review. But, as customer service is HUGE for me, I must say today's visit missed the mark... at least for one server. First, the place is very well decorated, and the dining tables are close, but not cramped. Kudos to Karly, and Rebecca for helping my server. Not sure if today was an "off" day, but Amanda missed it with me. I won't go into detail, but she definitely dismissed me on a couple of attempts to gain her attention. Again, I will chalk it up to just being on of those days for my server. But, something can definitely be done for identifying when a customer may need some attention. As for the food, the Pastami Hash was a big hit for me! I added a side of country gravy to it, and... #yummy

It's hard to review Perky Beans as a coffee shop, as their cafe is combined on this Yelp listing. But my review is for their coffee and my experience with it. I came here to grab coffee with a friend. When I arrived, plenty of seating was available, though I was told that just 10 minutes prior, the place was packed. Only then did I realize that an interior door connected the coffee shop with the cafe, and you could order food from within the coffee shop to eat with your coffee. It's confusing if you ask me. I ordered their black drip coffee and was charged about $3 after tax. I glanced at their bagged coffee beans and noticed their unique PB coffee blend, which combines beans from five countries. As a result, it was difficult for me to taste any flavor notes in the coffee, as none of them were distinct enough. I let my burning hot coffee sit for 10-15 minutes, lid off, to let it cool down. Yet the coffee was still unremarkable, maybe a step above chain store coffee. Overall, I would likely not return here for their coffee again. However, their food looks good, and I might try that if I'm ever in the area.

Went there today and the staff was nice, they were fast, atmosphere was good and the coffee was excellent. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they charged me $0.50 to make my drink iced. I have never, ever heard of this. As a former barista I really can't even imagine what would justify this. Iced drinks use less milk for the same size as there is so much ice in them and they are less work as you don't have to steam the milk. Seems like a ridiculous charge. I'm sure I will go there again but I will be buying my drink hot and will dump it over ice myself. read more

Drove by and circled back as it was one of those must-have-coffee mornings. It was right after their opening weekend, so they were still very new and excited to help me. They had a few items on the drink menu I hadn't seen before, so I decided to get two for the road. I got a Mexican Chocolatte and some coconut latte/cappuccino. I also got a ham bagel sandwich. The two drinks were tasty and kept their flavor throughout the day. I finished off the coconut one first, and didn't have any syrup sludge left over by the time I got to the bottom. The Mexican chocolatte, however, did have a bit of the bottom sludge by the time I got there. I chalk that one up to the amount of time it took me to finish it--of course, heavy stuff will eventually settle at the bottom. So, takeaway lesson: either drink it in a normal timely manner, or prepare for the blech! The sandwich, unfortunately, was a bit chewy. I don't often expect cafe sandwiches to be crispy fresh as if I made it myself, but I got the sense it was frozen and micro'd as it reminded me when I used to eat Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches and the biscuit would get that you-cooked-me-a-tad-too-long chewiness. But, I was hungry and it filled the void in my belly without making me feel lumpy like Jabba The Hut. I didn't stick around to use WiFi and be a part of the busy morning cafe crowd, but it looked aesthetically interesting with the cool barny shabby chic decor, and they had some cool mugs and shirts for sale. The staff were super friendly and answered my questions about the drinks. They even had something like 2-3 people tending to the order, so it went pretty fast. I'm sure it was because they were newly opened and still managing new staff. By the time I write this they're probably seasoned baristas and no helicopter managers needed to make sure things are running smoothly. Overall, the coffee and service was good; good enough I'll be back to try a few more flavors of caffeinated pick-me-ups. read more

I'm a Leander local that wanted to have high hopes for this place but after several visits to this place I've been disappointed. The inter atmosphere is also very shack-like and very noisy from the restaurant that's connected by a small open doorway. The cold brew coffee is decent but I got a turkey sandwhich and immediately felt sick as if the meat had gone bad or maybe the cheese? Either way its unacceptable to be serving bad food. Another note is that if you ever want to sit and use their Wi-Fi they walk straight up to you without giving you a chance to settle in and go walk up to the register to place an order. It's very crude and distasteful to run up to customers (clearly doing work) and demand they make a purchase when the employees deem it necessary. I will absolutely not be back here and do not recommend anything on the menu other than the cold brew. read more

This is the closest coffee shop to my house. However, every time I order an iced coffee (the boss) to be exact. It's always HOT. Idk if they aren't stirring it or adding enough ice or what. I have even ask for extra ice to see if that's the problem but nope still warm. I don't like hot coffee and don't want to wait 20 minutes for the ice to melt to be able drink it. Tried PB cafe again today. Monday late morning, got there and waited 15 mins. I guess the coffee side was closed so they weren't seating in that area. While I was waiting for a table, I asked the host how I could order a latte and he told me to order online or go through the drive thru. WHAT! Spent about 5 mins trying to figure out their online ordering system (I wasn't going to go through the drive thru while I'm waiting for a table) but I was seated before I could figure it out. I want to like this place as I now live very close by. Went by the other night. Just wanted some cookies or sweets of some sort. Walked in the door and up to the counter. There were no people inside, and 3 employees. We stood at the counter looking at what they had for a few minutes, at which time the girl at the register looks at us and says, " We are closed." It was right at 7 pm. While I understand that the store may close at 7, the door was unlocked and we were inside for a few minutes before being told that. We didn't want coffee or anything that would have taken any time. But the girl didn't even bother to ask. She just told us to leave. There is just no reason for rudeness and it makes me never want to step foot inside this business again. Starbucks opened nearby, so I guess I'll go there if I want coffee or cookies or pastries. read more

Great place. They're attached to a restaurant that's also great. Their matcha green tea frappes are delicious (try almond milk) m, but I haven't had any bad drinks here. The staff is friendly and fast. It's definitely better to support a small business rather than a corporate place. read more

Excellent food and service yet again - a consistent favorite we have now visited many times. The omelets and the skillets are very good, and the Farmer is a hearty plate with everything you could want in a breakfast, and breakfast is available all day. All of the lunch items are equally good - especially the Southern Fried Chicken salad, the Club Sandwich, the Reuben, and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. A really great little local place. Great coffee selection at the coffee house side. You can place your order there and let them know you are eating at the Cafe and they will give you a number to put on your table and thet will bring your your order. There is only regular coffee(which is awesome) at the Cafe. They also have adult morning drinks at the Cafe, bloody marys and mimosas and some spiked coffees. Everything we've tried has been great. Hubby loves the cfs breakfast. I've had the blackberry donut pancakes and the country skillet, both awesome. Highly recommend! read more

Just tried this place for the first time today and we loved it. Amazing coffee, I got an iced white chocolate mocha and my husband got a peppermint white chocolate mocha. The coffee is good. The problem is the coffee is not always full and temperature is very inconsistent. Sometimes it's scalding and other times Luke warm. Also I find it extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable to ask for tip. That never happens at Starbucks. It puts unnecessary pressure on the customers. read more

There's is not a lot to say about a place that has Phenomenal Service, staff that is friendly, passionate about the menu and full of "Perky-ness" and AJ was all of this and more. This made the experience great and one of the reasons why we came back-to-back days. The entire menu can be ordered but there's something to say about the Pancakes. The consistency and flavor is 12 on a 10 scale, the Waffles had a light crisp on top and super moist throughout ! The omelets are the perfect portion (I had the veggie lover add bacon and cheddar *AJ's suggestion ) , the golden potatoes are like French-fry heaven and the skillets were pan-tastic! This place is not cheap - the average cost of a breakfast entree (think omelette, scramble, etc.) is roughly $16 before tax and tip. For the price, they only include a side choice of english muffin or biscuit - toast is an upcharge (I've never experienced this in any breakfast restaurant before, and found it cheap of them + bizarre). 3. The food is good if you know what to order. I've made the mistake of ordering "The Toasted Yolk" signature meal, which was awful. The hashbrown casserole is also very bad and was served to me cold. However, I've also ordered the vegetarian scramble which is delicious. My husband always goes for the Brisket Tacos, which he says are consistently good. The churro donuts are fantastic as well. I don't think I'd go here nearly as much if I had more options in the area, but it is an overall decent place to grab a sit-down breakfast.
