I have been to many optometrist's in my lifetime but I have never felt like family when I go to this office. It's been about 15 years and I still get the same quality attention from the optometrist and his wonderful staff. I will emphasize that they have the best quality and prices I have yet to encounter even comparing to now just those around Perris IE areas but even in the LA and San Bernardino area. The Optometrist is an extremely knowledgeable person and is of a very humble soul who has passion for what he does. I have moved but I don't mind making a trip out to see him and his staff. I know the long waits can be frustrating but that's what happens when you have good prices, excellent and knowledgeable staff and an excellent experience with the Optometrist. If you find yourself looking for affordable prices and high quality products and services then you found yourself in the right place. Please if you're not a patient person don't hesitate to ask for times that are not as busy and hopefully you will be as satisfied as I and my family have been. I have many old pair of glasses that don't last over one year and I paid well over 1K with other Optometrist and they are not worth my money and time. I have a pair that this Optometrist made for me that's about 7-8 years old and they are in very good condition, sadly my eyes are not so I do require yearly subscriptions and can't wear my old glasses anymore. First, I would like to start with, the Doctor was good, he was informative and explained stuff that I had not learned before and I'm 62 so that was cool. I liked him very much. I also liked the staff. They were cordial and professional. It was the atmosphere and office that I did not like. From the moment I walked in, I thought, what a dump. It smelled like urine, the chairs were cheap plastic. There were chairs outside the office for I guess, overflow maybe? but they were ripped. It was just a very bad atmosphere. And of course, someone walks in wearing pajamas. So that tells you a lot. They just need to do some upgrading and cleaning. read more

I really like the doctor at this place, but the practice is kind of shady. Last time I paid for contacts and didn't pick them up, which I paid for they told me I had to redo the prescription because it was for the previous year which I was told it would be good for a year, but whatever redid the exam. This time I redid the exam paid for the whole year of contacts back in September I came to pick up the prescription and again I had to redo the exam because it's been more than 3months now. Which was never stated also it's well within the year of the exam. They also gave me the wrong prescription for the trial contacts and when I paid for the transition on my glasses it didn't have that either. read more

I give this location three stars because the Dr is amazing and explains in detail. He also answers any and all questions you may have. The staff on the other hand is rude at times. It takes them forever to get back to you and if you want to make an appointment over the phone (if they ever answer) or over text message, they take FOREVER AND A DAY to get back to you. read more

On Saturday 10/12 My mom came in wanting to get her glasses replaced and the front desk lady with the long black hair and big ass nose was extremely rude and unprofessional!! DO NOT COME HERE !!!!!!! Came on April 11th to get me some glasses they told me the next available eye appointment wasn't until May 16. So I came back, May 16th went in for the eye exam for my prescription glasses AND IT TOOK NO MORE THAN 10 MINUTES ! So I Waited over a month for just for that , then my glasses took 4 weeks to get there. The lady at front desk didn't even tell me they came in i had to call to see if they came in she says "your glasses have been here" ummmm? So you weren't going to call me ? That was Friday I called to see if they came in, she tells me if you want to pick them up you can come in tomorrow "Saturday" literally just pulled up and they are closed ...The ladies at the front are so lazy and rude literally do not come here ! They need different jobs they sit on their a** all day it's not hard to pick up when people call or send a text that glasses are there. Lastly when you do call the girl at the front will put you on hold and forget about you. You'll have to call back until they answer and they don't answer most the time . TRASH ! read more

Doctor is very kind and caring when preforming eye exam. Very genuine and professional. However, the women that work in the office are obnoxious and extremely rude. I had a wonderful experience. The lady at the front desk was not rude. I was seen fairly quickly and I got an accurate prescription! The doctor was thorough and patient with me. My mom went here and they said the wait time was 6 weeks and I just think that's too long! Maybe from covid though. I just got my prescription and ordered online so I got them much faster. I recommend Warby Parker if you're willing to spend some but also they do ask if you have insurance but I didn't attempt to enter my coverage. read more

I needed help getting my daughter (8) into glasses. I rely on the professionals in their field to guide us. I spent hundreds on glasses just for them to not fit her at all. They are gigantic on her face and don't even rest on her nose. I brought this up asking why they would let her select something too big for her face amd they said that we could use our 1 time warranty to pick something else out. I'll just buy something online for $30 and move on since they don't want to help their customers. read more

Worst front desk service, the older lady with highlights and glasses who has been there forever now is (still) rude, condescending and on a power trip. I went in for a simple request to replace glasses and was immediately met with attitude because she was on the phone (she was sitting there quietly). I just asked if we needed to sign in because we typically don't and are helped right then and there. She abruptly & rudely tells me she's on the phone and to sign in. Our names are second on the list and we waited 20+ mins. Watched everyone that signed in after us go in only to find out she skipped us. Called her out on it which she tried to excuse. Sadly this isn't the first time that we've dealt with her bad attitude, in fact we dread going just because we don't want to deal with her. The doctors are amazing here which is the only reason I've stayed dealing with this miserable woman. I don't know why they hire people who 1.) don't like dealing with customers and 2.) are a poor representation of their business. Worst part is she's training the new hires so there's no surprise in why everyone ends up acting just like her. Needless to say, this last interaction is what will do it for us. Does this place deserve a BAD review? HELL YEAH! When 1st coming into this office ,You think You stepped into a Loud and unruly pre-school! Next; the Not so friendly Lady's behind the desk here-Some rolling eyes and looking like they did not want to be there by just being asked some questions. The overly priced/cheap made glasses fell apart on me(Both of them!) One had the arm keep coming off because the screw holding it together and the other kept having the glass part fall out. I came in to ask for another screw and one of the professionals there told me to wait in line. I did and now she told me they would not adjust the glass or give me a screw and would have to buy new glasses.WTF! Dr Vu and the Perris office was exceptional in making him feel at ease and comfortable with his Appointment and process of ordering his glasses. Arrived early for a 1:15 appointment for my sons and it's now an hour and 30 minutes later and here we sit. My guess is by the time we are done we will have spent over 2.5 hours which is unacceptable and a waste of my day off. The irony is I took my older uninsured daughter to American Eyeglasses this morning and we were in and out within 45 minutes. This business has limited staff to serve such a large clientele. As I type this review It has taken the tech over 20 minutes to help a young lady with her fitting. This is not the first time I have had to deal with 2 hour + sessions, the last few years I chalked it is an "one off". When Dr Hilz was there, this was a good office. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. It took them over a month to get my fairly basic prescription glasses in. That was irritating. When one of the silicone nose pads on my other pair, which was also from them, came apart they did not have replacements in stock. Ok, they can't be expected to have everything on the shelf. I asked them to call me when they came in. They said that they didn't have time to call people on little parts, and to check back in a week. I called them in a week and was informed that they had no idea which ones I need, and to come back in. I went in and was told they still didn't have them and to check back. 5 round trips of 22 miles later I just gave up and found another optometrist. Good luck! read more
