Beauty is but a facade. The stunning ambiance draws you in and that's where it leaves you. The lackluster service was almost deafening. Drinks, tasty, but took ages and it seemed as though our server preferred the company of his colleagues as opposed to our table, and that trickled to the other tables. The only savior of this dinner was the fried chicken. Fresh ingredients. Unless you're bringing family here whom you'd rather not converse with, avoid. They're as cold as their bread and butter. (i'm serious, cold bread and colder butter). So much potential and the mark was entirely missed.

I came here for a networking event, and they served these apps in Tapas style. Everything was so delicious! My favorite is the Calamari. It came with this Yuzu Foam that was light and fluffy and added some tart and sweetness to the crispy and savory calamari. Just thinking about it is making me drool a bit... All their ingredients taste so fresh and very well seasoned. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. The dining area is also extremely beautiful with a nice view of the water and sunset in the afternoon/early evening. Perfect date night spot. The service staff were impeccable and amazing. Everyone is so nice and courteous. I can't wait to come back.

Finally took time to see Jean George's and Cedric's place. What a cool location, space and decor. It gives me the high end 1990s NYC energy. The food was really well executed, enjoyed it a lot. I think maybe some of the bar presentation was a bit underwheling for the caliber of the place (such as glasses and infredients into G&T). I would have preferred white table cloths and maybe some more help to the server staff with training (regretably when collecting the paper table mats clumsily spilled crumbs into my lap). Not a big deal but the aspiration is to reach the ideals of service of the high end gastronomy. Lovely people though!

Returned for brunch and had a wonderful meal. My boyfriend and I shared: + Crispy calamari + Baby gem and arugula salad + Black truffle burger + Chocolate pudding The highlights were the calamari and dessert (the candied violets in that pudding are just next level), though everything was great per usual.

The restaurant has a very unique and unassuming look. It's almost like a hotel lobby restaurant vibe. The waiters (Henry) were fabulous with recommendations and knowledge. For starters we had the pear salad which was great but the calamari was the star of the appetizers. The crisp was amazing and the sauce was incredible - despite its looks. For the main course we had the salmon and lobster raviolis. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the vegetables were the star and the sauce was amazing. The sauce for the lobster ravioli was terrific too!! The lobster, of course, was great and the only disappointing bit was the ravioli itself. There just wasn't anything spectacular about the taste. The sorbet to close the night was perfect and refreshing,

Absolutely wonderful meal. The menu presents itself as a standard, nice meal, but the flavors that come out of the kitchen bowled me over. Everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly dressed, and perfectly presented. I was obsessed with my entree, the seared black bass with roasted maitake mushroom, aromatic basil broth. It was incredible. I also loved the crispy artichoke with roasted sunchokes, garlic vinaigrette, celeriac. Finally, the rice cracker crusted tuna was wonderful, though I wasn't in love with the citrus-sriracha emulsion. Our dessert, the gingerbread Bundt cake with cranberry sorbet, tasted just like the holidays. All in all, a wonderful meal.

They welcomed us like family. Introduced themselves, sat us right away. Came around often to top us off with water. The cocktails were outstanding, and the food, amazing! I was so impressed. The caviar dish is a must. The asparagus salad is also not to be missed. Both of their cheese appetizers were incredible, the bass was great, and that had to be one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had. The preparation was flawless. The broth was incredible, it was a nice juicy piece with the crispy skin...incredibly well executed. The Balthazar bread is always excellent. The deserts, strawberry shortcake and chocolate dish...delicious. We were full, but made room, they were too good to leave behind. Again, thank you a million times over. Please keep doing what you're doing, all of you. This is truly (STILL) an NYC gem!

Third time visiting Perry Street and can now reliably say it is definitely a charm! This time I came with a group of friends on a Sunday evening and tried their winter restaurant week menu, which is a 3-course menu for $60. Tried their pumpkin and basil pot stickers (with soy-lime and ginger sauce), sauteed pork loin, and molten chocolate cake. Loved the Korean-inspired samjang sauce with the pork loin as it provided a unique twist and boldened the flavor. Service has always been outstanding at Perry Street. We were greeted immediately upon entering. Staff was attentive without being overbearing throughout the meal. Sadly, they were quite busy during restaurant week and we were asked to vacate the table and move to the lounge after about 2 hours of meal time - understandable for sure, but not the most pleasant dining experience (especially since we were not informed of the dining time limit when we made the reservation).

Came here for restaurant week and had such a lovely experience! The inside is upscale and classy, with a gorgeous dining room. The food was excellent too! The highlight of the restaurant week menu was certainly the molten lava cake.

Jean Georges always does a good job with the food quality and with the food presentation. Came here for a Sunday night dinner because I wanted to take advantage of the restaurant week deal - 2 courses for $60 (which is more expensive than other places but I think high quality is worth a higher premium on pricing). The service here was great, I asked for tea and they brought it to me in a very pretty / rustic looking saucer cup. The foods: -shrimp dumplings: yummy but maybe a little bit too sweet for the chili for my liking -salmon sashimi: fresh salmon, good quality -roasted hake: the presentation and color of the fish was amazing, I loved how it was an almost translucent color -roast duck: the polenta was really yummy and this presentation was equally amazing, this was probably my favorite dish. Overall thoughts: quality was good and presentation of the dishes were really additive but to me I think the menu was quite ordinary / not as experimental as I had expected. Would recommend since it's good quality and solid food.

This was definitely my favorite meal of my recent trip and one of the best meals I've had in NYC. Outdoor patio was cute, I was sat immediately. Service was prompt and friendly. The general Manager was a sweetheart and shared his own experience with the food. I ordered the black truffle brie to start. Honey was the perfect accompaniment to the delicious cheese, and i was appreciative of the salad with vinaigrette and berries on the side. My main dish was the butter poached lobster. Chunks of perfectly poached lobster with potato ravioli and spinach, a lemongrass kafir broth poured over top. This has to be one of the best lobster dishes I've ever had. I have to come back just for this.. stuff of dreams. Thanks for the experience, Perry St.

A friend and I wanted to "celebrate" Restaurant Week. She mentioned Perry St. being on her list, so we decided to come. We found free parking around the corner at 6pm on a weekday so I was happy even before setting foot in the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was Perry St.'s outdoor seating. It was set back from the sidewalk and raised up a bit. There were planters between the tables and the sidewalk which gave diners a bit of privacy from passersby. Upon entering the restaurant, I really liked the clean modern look. The waitstaff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was good and the drinks were even better.

Food and ambiance amazing. Service top tier. Definitely recommend. It was the perfect setting for a date night and birthday.

Does Perry Street still have a prix fixe lunch? No mention of it on their website menu as of 12/27/17.

Yes it's in the website, but hard to see due to spacing. Look carefully above the second list of appetizers and you'll see "taste of winter menu" or something: $38 for 3 courses.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!
