Spicy BBQ chicken with noodles and cabbage

Huge portion of food that should be divided between 2 people. Food was fresh and tasted good. I like fried plantains. I chose this pavilion in the mall Food Court because it had the longest line. It was a good value at $10 for chicken, fried rice, and a side.

Very good food, and they pile it high. People are very nice too. My boyfriend and I like this place and eat here whenever we need to eat at the mall!

BBQ Chicken and Spicy Bourbon Chicken with Broccoli in lieu of rice or noodles

Why a 5? A lot of tasty food for the money and we will eat here every time a mall food court has one. I usually skip the rice and noodles and substitute veggies instead which is a huge amount of healthy food other than a little high in sodium.

Average mall Chinese food. I came for the Bourbon Chicken with Fried Rice and side of Plantains. I've definitely had better Bourbon Chicken before. It's was a little tough, and even with the added sauce- still chewy. I don't think the Plantains were ripe enough to make yet. They were hard and not really that sweet. Plantains should be brown and sweet as sugar, they should basically melt in your mouth and take little to no effort to cut into. The fried rice was the best part, it tasted as it should at a mall food court. Next time I'm at the mall, I'm stopping by Chick-fil-A (which is conveniently located in the same food court.)

Guys, the quality has definitely gone down. Dirty used bandages in my orange chicken and only a refund was offered. What the heck? I mean yeah they could offer me a year of lifetime supply of their food but you can be sure I'll be checking it. I understand mistakes are made but at least try to make it right!!

They don't use gloves. They were running out of the chicken I wanted so she let me try a different one and used a toothpick to get it with no gloves. The food is good but no gloves on anyone is giving a gross vibe.

Perry's BBQ in the Westfield Countryside Mall food court

This place is in the Westfield Countryside Mall food court. I had their "2 Meat Combo" with rice for $7.69, and added a soda for $1.89. If I remember correctly (it was a whole three weeks ago), I selected two helpings of sweet & sour chicken to go with my fried rice. The food was fine. Nothing to get too exited over, but good enough to go back for. The last time I was at the mall, I ate at China Max, on the other side of the food court. Perry's BBQ is quite similar to China Max with respect to the kind and quality of food they offer, as well as prices. If you're trying to decide which one to get your meal from, flip a coin.

Half eaten combo, it was so good I forgot to take a pic until I was half way through!

The Egg Foo Young was burnt, and the gravy was black, and congealed, not gravy. The Lo Mein tasted as if it had sat on the stove for three days, and heated. The egg rolls were also burnt. The Fried Rice was tasteless, and smelled like old grease. The noodles (you know the ones you put in your soup were stale). The Pork Spare Ribs were tough, and were swimming in red grease. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager about out food, and was told all their food was made "fresh." Nope, it arrived too fast! This is the first time we've never had leftover Chinese food, as I threw it all out, $65 worth. As I was throwing out the food, I realized I should have taken pictures. Rookie mistake. We don't get a lot of take out.

That's fine, as I don't go there for the looks.., I go for the food. There are so many Chinese places around here, but Asian Pearl has the best Beef Chow Fun around. It is the closest I found around here that is similar to Chinatown, New York city. The Beef Chow Fun was excellent! The broad noodles are not as wide as in Chinatown, but they are quite sufficient. The strips of beef tasted excellent as well! Two things that I did not like about the place, was the fact that the Won Ton soup was so expensive and they charge for hot tea. Most eat in Chinese restaurants always put a pot of hot tea on the table for you to enjoy at no charge. I will skip the hot tea and wonton soup. Those are not deal breakers. I will be back for Beef Chow Fun next time I need a fix.
