wow what a difference in less than a year! the dartmouth location used to be top notch in all aspects...but not any more.......my favorite, the Hashlet omelette is now just blah! even the baked beans (one of the sides available) were dry and not flavorful. The waitstaff seems lackadaisical at best....I do understand that there has been a big turnover in personnel in all phases here....but the new crew and the resulting product is very disappointing! Used to go here a lot, but with my last 2 times here being very unsatisfied, there are many other places to go to get a real good breakfast! read more

My boyfriend and I rarely go out for food, normally I cook. Today we decided to go to Percy's as I love their menu options. We arrived and were seated right away. Our waitress never introduced herself but offered coffee, which was not drinkable and absolutely gross. We ordered our food and then proceeded to wait close to 45 minuted for our food, in what looked like a nearly empty restaurant. When the food hit the table everything was cold. My hash browns were raw, my omelet didn't melt the cheese and the toast didn't melt butter. My boyfriends hash was like chewing on a cold tire and his home fries were grossly under cooked. Our server came by after a while and asked how the food was, we expressed our distaste and she just walked away. I ate less than half my meal and my boyfriend not much more than I, we asked for our check and a manager, come to find out our lackluster server was in fact the manager and did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. If this had been the first time we'd had issues there I'd chock it up to a bad day, but it's gotten increasingly worse over the last 6 months and today was just the last straw. read more

Wow, what a breakfast! I thought I could eat a lot. I could not finish all the food that came with my order. My wife experienced the same. We were so food drunk we left our to-go containers on the table. I felt bad about doing that because it was such good food. Service was excellent and my coffee was never empty. I had the Yankee breakfast and my wife had the pancake sampler. I'm going to try a bomb next time. Also I'm going to eat less the night before! read more

Other than rushing us to order (in a next to empty restaurant), the service was good and the portions were large. The unanimous consensus of my party was that the food was bland. The Spanish omelet had absolutely no kick, the waffles and pancakes were a bit dry and the eggs were OK. Every menu item is expensive. I suspected as such when I read the price edited menu online. Be prepared to spend $13+ per head for breakfast. Seriously, $4 for a glass of OJ? This explains why there were plenty of open seats on Easter morning. There is no way that the quality of food justifies the prices so I won't be going back. read more

The review for this restaurant are too harsh. This is the best place to get breakfast around! There food is awesome and they have a huge menu, I have never been disappointed with anything. If you go on a weekend morning you will most definitely wait, but it is only because it is the best around and full of early riser old folk... I've been to Percy's Place a few times and it's never anything special; I only go because my mother picks it. My brother and I took her there for her birthday today. Absolutely awful. My brother's drink had a dead fly in it to start with. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with home fries and a buttermilk pancake. The ham and English muffin were burnt charcoal, and the eggs were grossly under-cooked. My pancake had clearly been sitting out for a while; it was crispy (something I didn't know a pancake could be), cold, and came with a complimentary hair. My brother's waffle had also been sitting out and was cold. My mother's waffle, while not warm, was actually pretty good (Maple Walnut). The only good thing about this place is the service was great and the server was very friendly. read more

We went to the East Providence, RI location which had a quaint dinner motif. There were few people in at about 11 am. We were promptly provided with our drinks of water and coffee. There were 4 persons in our party. The French Toast order and the pancake orders were tasty. The corned beef style sandwich and side salad was also good. Before I placed my order, I verified with the waitress that the Special of the Day pulled pork hash was just like I had at other Persy locations and like their wonderful corned beef hash. Similarly, I asked for extra "drop" eggs and to be soft boiled with the yellow "runny". All of the other orders were good but I received essentially a pull-pork sandwich with a small amount of undercooked green/red peppers and a small amount of red onion. The eggs were as hard-boiled. When I asked the waitress about these issues with my order, she simply said that is how the hash is prepared, despite my previous experience with that dish and her initial confirmation that my order would meet my previous experience. She also said that I should have been more specific about my egg order if I wanted it other than hard-boiled. Needless to say, I was disappointed with her responses and I will not return to that Persy location again. read more

I have lived in MA for a long time and right next to the middleboro location, but I have never been to Persy's...until recently when I stopped in to the Dartmouth location with my wife and son before our shopping trip. I do not normally write reviews for anything, but i felt compelled to do this based on our experience. Let me tell you that you will not be dissapointed with anything about this place. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service was great with our waitress always seeming to come by at the right time. But, hands down, the best thing about this place was the food. I ordered the Yankee special and everything about it was great. The food was fresh, hot and the eggs were perfect. I had told our waitress to give our compliments to the chef (I think his name was Alex or something). I'm not sure if he got it, but hopefully he reads this review... keep doing whatever it is that you are doing. I will be sure to be back next time we are around this area. read more

liz waitress was great, i had the yankee special, my husband had the portuguese omlet all cooked perfectly, there was a good amount of people at the restaurant and the cook alex was on top of his game we waited NO TIME at all for our food, we will have to make persy's a weekly visit.........definitely fabuloso read more

Had to wait about 15 mins to be seated because somebody working had there friends hanging out at a few tables so we had to wait for them to move for us to be seated. At first sight after beibg seated was that this place is flithy I myself could'nt even order a drink the place matt had grease stains on it like it had already been used the utensils came wrapped in a clean napkin but them themselves had pieces of dried food stuck to them. Got seated in the corner were something must have been spilled since there were dozens of fruit flies landing on the people i was with food and drink. When asked if they knew about all the flies in the corner they responded that they did and there was nothing they could do. Umm how about you clean every once in a while. Not washing the walls, floors, tables, chairs etc... it is not a good start. Never will I return I am actually gonna try to contact the board of health maybe they can do something. ew. gross. i hope you like extra runny omelets and under cooked home fries. not only was it hotter than hell in that place but the service was awful. i expect it to be busy on a sunday but after eating there and reading other reviews i cant understand why. terrible service. the host was the most unfriendly person ever! please don't act like im bothering you (isn't it your job to be friendly?) and don't ever roll your eyes at a guest. took 10 minutes to get my water. the waitress forgot my pancakes which isn't a big deal. it took forever to get our food, try 45 minutes for two meals. im not a picky person but this place lacks in every aspect, i mean my omelet was barely cooked and my son's scrambled eggs were burnt! uncooked and overcooked! how do you screw up eggs! theyre eggs! the easiest thing to make in the world. the home fries were the worst part though. when potatoes aren't cooked all the way its just so gross. we never got refills on our drinks. read more
