If I could give more stars I would. They are tremendously helpful, kind and wonderful here. I've recently been displaced by the CZU fire and was picking my cat from the only vet I could find that would house her. When I got her though she was freaked out and covered in her own urine. I could go more into that experience but let's focus on the positive of that day. Since she was very dirty I stopped by this shop to try and find wipes to clean her up. Amber was very helpful and was able to trim the nails along with bath her. Everyone else there was very helpful and kind which I'm so grateful for during this very difficult time. WOW! 5 Stars is not enough to give to the employees and this store. First...our area was evacuated during the csz fires and we were not in town...we picked up our rescued cat from a local animal hospital that was able to board her until we got in town... Second...we picked up our traumatized cat and she was covered in her own waste...freaking out..not eating.. So we stopped to just try and buy some cat wipes.. Amber pointed me to the cat cleaning...but she also asked...what do you need? When I told her...she listened and asked more questions about the situation and what we really needed... She ended up helping to bathe and trim the nails of stressed out and fiesty kitty and offer some calming CBD and treats and food for her...all while using thier own personal breakroom. Wow. I am so impressed with people like this and the employees here care for the customers and all of the animals that come through the doors. Support them ! This is my all time favorite pet store! They carry all the products that we buy for our puppy. They carry his dog food, great selection of toys, training tools and all sorts of nutritional foods. He recently injured his leg and had to be kept quiet for weeks and it was a challenge because he's a high energy dog. A clerk named Joey helped me get this wonderful pumpkin that I put in his Kong and freeze it overnight. It's very low in calories and fat and super high in nutritional value. Also I found out that real rawhide is really, really bad for dogs...that was a bummer because they love to chew. Thankfully they have these "No Hide" bones that my dog loves. They come in 3 flavors; Salmon, Beef and Chicken ( his fav). They come in 3 or 4 different sizes as well. They are very expensive but if you buy 3, the 4th is free. They also have a wonderful dog bathing area, that have 4 or 5 tubs, they supply you with 4 soap choices for a variety of issues your pup might be having and unlimited towels and blow dryers. Love that! I have to mention all the epic humans that work there, super friendly and helpful, it's the best ever. It will be sad to say goodbye when I move out of state in a few months. read more

I was helped by Lorie (she's helped me before, actually) and she did a fantastic job of explaining what types of shampoos and supplements could give him relief and get rid of the problem. Wash your dog and leave!! What's there not to like about that!! $15 for a token- for about 25 minutes, buy 3 tokens and get the forth one free!!?! YES! Make sure you have a leash. Make sure you're not wearing nice clothing. You may get wet and you'll get fur/hair on you!! Goes for the you shoes too! There is 5 washing stations. There are aprons to use to cover and protect your clothes while washing. I always choose a wash station away from other dogs, I just do. If your doggie is older, you may want to lift them up into the tub. Doggie may have trouble getting a grip on the tile steps while going up and down them. There is 4 wash selections Orange Peel Oil- a great degreaser! Oatmeal & Aloe Vera Mango Tango..smells great!! Warm Water.. To rinse! Then Blow Dry!! My boy used to bite the hose end when he was younger!! He's 14 now and still hates to get a bath!! I usually will try to clean up the fur around the tub and the surrounding area. The guy didn't say a word about it, just greeted me like it was middle of the day. So I grab a couple bags of treats and go to pay. I was struggling finding something he would eat and an employee recommended "acana" brand which is exclusively sold at pet food express and he gobbles it up! The worst and rudest manager I have ever met. She follows you around the store and barks what she wants you to do. She doesn't see if there is anything you need or if you need help, just tells you what you are doing wrong. I will never, never, never, never, never go there again. Even if she is fired. The corporation's training is lacking. I had been going there for years, so it isn't as if they don't know me there. I am done there. I am out. And I will tell everyone that I can how disrespectful and rude she was. There are ways to deal compassionately with a customer who is doing something "wrong." She hasn't a clue how that might look. I happen to notice the store had a new supply of dog beds and he walked me over to see them and pointed out the size of bed that might work for my cocker spaniel. I love coming to this store! I generally go to PetCo out of convenience when I am in a pinch for a pet supply, but Pet Food Express is a real joy to shop so I try to stop here whenever I am in the area. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The selection of premium pet foods and treats is top notch and most items and brands can't be found anywhere else (as far as I know, and I have been around to several different pet stores in the area). And the dog toys are hard to resist. Major bonus points for carrying toys that meet the FDA standards for children (no lead, etc., and signs indicate which are ok to leave for your dog to play with and which should be put away when not supervised). They really get that peoples' pets are basically family members (or children for some). Yes, maybe it is slightly more expensive for some things, but it's worth it. I get items that I know are good and safe for my critters. They're worth every penny! read more

I really love this place. The minute you walk in an associate welcomes you and asks what you're looking for. They always have great tips and ideas when I share with them what I'm looking for. At the back of the store they have a place you get shower your dog, the setup is very convenient and they have plenty of treats & towels you can use. On weekends they have a vet in the store, and you can get cheap shots & other basic services for your dog. My dog loves chewing on hoofs, and they sell them individually wrapped. When I once bought from Amazon because it was a bit cheaper, I got several hoofs in a bag, not individually wrapped, and it was clear my dog was not much into them. I enquired on 5/17/18 if Pet Food Express sold the Hill's prescription S/D diet. The reply I received from the gentleman working there was a condescending and judgmental "No, we would never sell food that had undisclosed fillers in it." Pregnant pause ......... I have purchased my dog's food from Pet Food Express her entire life - 8 years. Primarily because I knew they only sold premium food without fillers. Little did I know to check for ingredients such as Sodium Selenate, Magnesium and Sulfate - ingredients that contributed to my dog developing a life threatening kidney stone. After spending $1500 to save her life, she is stuck eating this new prescription food to dissolve the stone and hopefully prevent another one from developing. So, to the employee who was reveling in his judgmental attitude on May 17th - you can be sure that when my dog is released to eat regular food again, it will not come from Pet Food Express. read more
