I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed about my recent trips to our local store. Usually, I'm happy to have you guys around for my pet stuff, but lately, it's been a letdown. I always have to hunt down someone to help me instead of them just asking if I need anything. I wanted to get some fish, but I ended up leaving without any. One of your employees wouldn't sell me the fish I wanted 'cause I didn't wanna buy a heater/ already have one . the fish I wanted are doing great in my tanks, but she still said no. She even said my fish are "slowly dying," which is upsetting cause I test my water all the time and take good care of them for 1 year and a half already Plus, there were dead fish right there in your tanks Petco! I was gonna get some cherry shrimp, but I just felt too uncomfortable because she would sell me that instead of the fish that I already have in my tanks ...... and left. I went to PetSmart instead. I hope things get better next time. I'm gonna check out the Marietta store and hopefully have a better experience. But sadly she's no longer working there the groomer blamed me for not finishing the job . because my dog saw me . ( time check It's been like more than 3 hrs of waiting ) I'm not happy with my visit. the team members at this petco have all been great, but Kim in the grooming dept is exceptional . she is a dog person's dog person . you can tell she cares for every fur baby she works with, and i appreciate the care and attention she gives my little guy, Beaux . i always prebook to ensure he has a spot of time w her . also, PETCO GET IT TOGETHER . why are u charging a "cleaning supplies fee" ? it should be included in the price of the service and not as an add-on . i can assure u that service providers are seeing lower tips as a result of this fee . just include it in the service fee, especially since it implies to me, as a customer, that i am being charged by the service provider for cleaning fees that PETCO should be supplying . read more

I've lived in this town for 33 years and have been going to this PetCo since it opened. NO MORE! The employees at this store are totally inept.Went in Sunday to get a fan tailed gold fish. After listening to Debi's life story I asked where said goldfish were. Found one for $7.99 asked Debi for some help she was with another customer and called someone. Zack showed up 10 min. later, I requested he retrieve the gold fish I selected and he asked the size of the tank the fish would go into 5 gallon I said. He went on about the organs of the goldfish keep growing even though the fish stays the size of the tank and he would not sell me the gold fish. I said a few Choice words after his refusal and went to another pet store for the fish. Management needs to educate Zack because his assumption of fish organ's is totally B.S. look it up. Yesterday I decided that I wanted to see how much my Rottweiler weighed since she will be the big 1 this month. So I decided to call up my local pet stores and asked if they had a scale to weigh my fur baby! To my surprise this was the only location in the area that was able to do so. Not only did they allow me to use their scale they actually had a team member open the grooming are which was closed and bright the scale out to help me weigh my girl. I was so pleased with how willing and attentive the staff was to our needs. We then went through the store so my fur baby could pick out some treats I had several staff members come around and say hi to my girl and offer assistance. They had a large variety and knowledgeable staff in all areas. Supplies were abundant and store was very clean! read more

We came here for the first time and asked to use the "human litter box". To my dismay it was just that. Personally, I love my pets. I would never let their litter box get this dirty. Why on earth would these people allow their bathroom to get this dirty? I'm appalled that the sign is even hanging. This mess is more than a day old. The urine stains and lack of toiletries make me feel very unwelcome as a customer. The baby changing table has dried feces on it. This is a health code violation!! I will never return. I suggest anyone who braves this place not use their bathroom. read more

Worst first experience with any dog groomer...ever. The two ladies who work there are not even personable, I got there with my dog and he's always nervous when meeting new people and they instantly got wary of him. I just would think people who work with animals would enjoy their job more, definitely not these ladies, they seemed so miserable. Mind you my dog has gone to the groomers plenty of times in the past, we moved so we thought we'd give Petco a try. Total regret. They continued to assess my dogs coat and were just so weird with him, so I'm sure it made him feel even more nervous. Fast forward AN HOUR later, I get a call saying that they tried to get him out of his cage and my dog was panting very heavily and wouldn't come out of the cage and his eyes were "bloodshot".....so they weren't going to proceed with grooming. Not sure why I was getting a call an hour later saying they hadn't even started bc they couldn't get him out of his cage. But when we picked him up, they had no problem getting him out them. Super weird. I just genuinely feel like they never wanted to groom my dog to begin with bc their mentality from the start was "we might not be able to do it" ...I hardly feel like they tried there best to. This store needs a new manager. Camille is the rudest person but all of their employees could use some training on proper customer service. The young gentleman in the grooming department was always kind when he would wash our dog and always made sure she was comfortable. But I was informed last time I called for an appointment That he's no longer there which is a shame. The other girl, Andrea I believe, is hit or miss. If she's not have a good day you can definitely tell. We will only be going to petco for their good prices on litter but when it comes to all other matters we will be taking our business to Petsmart. Corporate if you're reading this, you need to put this store In check or shut it down. Rude employees leads to no business. Buyer beware. Also...don't give your typical generated/scripted response. Rude and bad costumer service at this Petco. I had placed an order for my dogs food online and had it scheduled for pick-up same day at this location in Lake Elsinore. I had placed the order in the morning and I noted on the order that it will be picked up under my husbands name because I wasn't able to come. & Once he showed his ID and proof of confirmation, the older white lady associate that helped him said that the order was cancelled because he haven't picked it up in 4 days and she refunded it.. he calls me to tell me this, and I am confused because I just placed the order the morning of and I never received a refund confirmation email because I paid it through PayPal. My husband than showed her all we had for proof of the order including the confirmation # and she rudely refused to give the order to him. I then called customer service while my husband stayed in store . Customer service was confused too on why she refunded it when I just placed the order this morning. So they call the store and my husband said the associate was avoiding and ignoring the phone ringing , and he had to told her to answer it because it was customer service regarding our order. First of all , she wasn't doing her job by not answering the phone and second, for some reason she says it's because the order was under a different name (my name). But like I said, when I placed the order , I had it specifically under my husbands name for pick up And I had proof of that on my confirmation email and on petco's website when I checked out. And why would his name pop up in their system that the order he placed "4 days ago" was refunded when he never ordered anything recently. After customer service called, my husband said the associate quickly changed to a nicer attitude all of a sudden. We don't know if she was racist or assumed that my husband was lying. Or just plain lazy! Because she never looked up the confirmation number he gave her when he arrived, just his name. I get that sometimes the system might glitch, causing the name to not be saved when I placed the order, but If names don't match up, the next step is to look at confirmation number right? But he said she never did until customer service had called. If she had looked up the confirmation number from the beginning, she would have saw the information she needed to verify it correctly. That's all she had to do, but she decides to be rude and refuse to help. I don't usually write reviews often, only until I experience something I feel like others should know about. Overall, I don't recommend on coming here. I had spend over $150 of my dogs food and because of this I will bring my money elsewhere. The reason behind the 3 star is because I have gone in recently and seen they have a rabbit there and they don't seem to really care for it too well.. I am a huge animal lover and hope they take care of it a little better. Other than that I love this store they have everything I need for my pet and I have been coming here for years. I wish they would of set my account up for the points but a lady told me whoever set up my rewards never punched the code in for me to gain points. My husband and I went to this PetCo and were interested in a hamster. I asked an associate if anyone can help us and immediately an overhead page for assistance in small pets was called and we were greeted by Zach shortly after. He answered all our questions about the different hampster they had. We asked his opinion on the type of hamster we should get, his recommendation on cages, bedding, food and treats. He provided us information brochures about hamsters. He was very knowledgeable about the animal, the products needed and about the return policy. He gave us a few minutes to talk it over before we decided to commit to purchasing one. We had our toddler with us who was getting a bit cranky during the whole process. Zach was very patient with us and after all our questions we decided to take one home. The next day we decide to return the hamster. It wasn't the right time to have a small animal with a toddler. It was a bad decision on our part. I called and spoke to Camille who was very nice & understanding and said I could bring him back. Came back with everything we purchased and Rebekah processed the return. She was really nice and helpful. And the return was quick and simple with full refund. Thank you to the staff at this PetCo for your great customer service from the purchase to the call about the return and to the process of refund. Everyone was helpful, informative and friendly. Went to get fish for my tank and had Debbie help me. She was extremely rude and condescending, and even quizzed me on whether I knew the first step of the nitrogen cycle. Refused to give me the fish I went in to get and would constantly say "but you know that because you've had fish before right." One of the rudest people I've come across. I have always taken my dogs to this location (Collier Lake Elsinore )for grooming. Misty was my groomer of choice! Recently Misty had to take a leave of absence. I thought some of the other groomers would be ok, I was wrong! I have a 7 month old Airedale who never had a problem before bathing, she is now devastated to go near a tub and worse is a TOWEL!
