I really only come here because it is the closest to my house and has a rewards program. The cashiers care more about themselves than doing their job. I've had one girl do the whole transaction for me talking to their friend only, she did not say one word to me. I've had a cashier who just looked at me nasty the entire time like a with no thank you or have a good day. Also, every time I have tried to buy a fish here, they are all sick and I can't buy one!! I only come to this petco because it is close to my house. The customer service is absolutely horrendous! I've worked in customer service for over 10 years and was a store manager for 8 years. If I was the manager here I would be embarrassed. The staff is very unfriendly and not helpful. Every time I come here, checking out is a nightmare. I honestly dread having to come in here but I like that they carry my dog food and I like the rewards program. read more

I would send something like- I was very disappointed with the grooming job done at our first visit to Petco. My dog suffered a severe enough cut that it needed medical attention. For a place that advertises that it provides grooming. I would have expected your groomers to have better training. This does not build my trust in your store or brand. read more

This is one of the nicer Petco's I've been too. The store is clean and easy to navigate and the shelves are almost always well stocked. Prices are standard for these kinds of stores, although you can get some good deals when there is a sale on. The best thing about this place is the staff - super friendly and always happy to help. Horrible place the staff are very rude the groomers are nasty rude took my dog in and he wasnt done at all plus they cut him and left his nails half done and they charged me full price the management are the worst never again will i shop at this crappy place once was enough such a nightmare! Today at approximately 2pm, I went to your store to pickup some dog food. I went to check out and remembered I had a 20 percent coupon. I received the coupon through email from Petco on my phone. The cashier rang me up and I informed her I had a coupon. I brought up the coupon on my phone and showed it to the cashier. She then tired to scan it but it would not take. The cashier then informed me she had to call a manager for further assistance. The manager, Donna, showed up and asked to see the coupon on my phone. Donna then told me if they couldn't scan it there was nothing she could do. As a manager, she could have done an override or typed in the numbers at the bottom of the bar code. She acted as if she didn't want to do anything even through I said fine just take the full amount because I wasn't going to waste my time and argue the point with her. This is just typical bad customer service. I have used this store for many years but now I think I need to find another place that appreciates their customers. read more

Great experience! I had trouble with the dog house that I wanted to purchase. However every time I would pick it up, it would come apart. I tried to snap it back on, but couldn't. I looked around for help and only saw one gentleman, whose name tag read GINO. He was taking care of the fish tanks all the way in the back of the store. I asked him to help me and he was phenomenal. He put aside what he was doing and gave me his full attention. Unfortunately, the dog house was very difficult to put together. After struggling with it for a few minutes, I assumed Gino was going to give up, so I prepared myself for a disappointment. However, he didn't. Once he realized the dog house was faulty, he walked with me to the area where the rest of them were located and found another one. The other one was also not all the way assembled, so Gino took the time and put it together for me. That was incredible customer service and just overall a great example of human kindness. Before going into my story, let me say that I know when going to this store that getting help from an associate when needed is pretty much impossible. There's actually been many times I've helped people find things they need. Anyway, I went into this location on my way home from the vet with my dog. I had just gotten horrible news that she had terminal bone cancer. The vet told me getting her a harness could help at home. Since I've never purchased a harness and my dog was 120lbs, I took her inside with me. She was a little tired from the vet, but I needed to fit her and I knew the harnesses were right in front by the door so she wouldn't have to go far. When we came in there were 3 people in the front of the store. When we got to the harnesses she laid down and didn't want to get back up on the slick floor. So over the course of 15min or so I'm trying to get her up and check out so I can get her home. During this time 2 employees walk by and 1 stays at the register closest to me, not one asking if I need help with my dog (mind you I'm 110lbs myself). I finally get her up and get to the first register where the guy stood waiting for me. He introduces himself as the dog trainer (I'm far from interested in that at this point. I just want to take my tired dog home) and proceeds to ask me if my dog "had always been that stubborn or only since she got old" I was mortified....she was obviously walking with a limp and he just watched her and I struggle for 15min. I looked at him and replied "No, she has bone cancer." He then had another girl ring me up, I guess he felt like an idiot. My dog and I make it out the front door and she stops again and lays down. This time, I start to cry because of all the stress and just want to get home. A customer and her husband walked past to enter the store. He stopped and kindly asked me if I needed any help. When I told him what was going on, he offered to carry her to my car for me. I was so greatful and thanked him from the bottom of my heart. He asked if anyone inside offered me help. When I told him no and that the trainer had asked if my dog was old or stubborn his jaw dropped. He told me that was horrible and I should call corporate. I did so as soon as I got home. They told me over the phone that what happened was unacceptable and they were deeply sorry for what happened in their store. I was also told they would "handle" the situation and have the manager of that location contact me. They never contacted me and I returned the harness for that reason. I will never shop here again. read more

My second of two visits to this store and both times were horrible. I planned on stocking my new fish tank with tropical fish. After 10 minutes of no employees even in the near vicinity I finally found someone I politely asked "could I get some assistance in the fish department?" The woman didn't even look up at me and very annoyingly said " I could call someone". I thanked her and waited another 15 minutes. Did not hear a call for customer waiting in fish department or even had anyone come by. I saw this woman chatting and laughing with another employee completely ignoring the fact that I have been waiting over 20 min already. I will NEVER patron this store again and will stock my fish tank where someone knows how Customer Service should work ! read more

Great Petco. I had to return all of my $280 worth of stuff for a gecko and surprisingly got it all back except for tax without packaging. The worker Grant and Zach were very helpful and very polite throughout the whole process. I would really recommend this Petco. read more

I like the store, variety of products are good. But that's about it. The staff is / was not helpful at all. (if you could find them). The one thing I thought 'was great', was the dog trainer. I've had both my dogs trained by her and she was excellent. She cared more about the dogs than any trainer I've ever worked with or talked to. She went overboard with documentation for us to read. She was constantly providing us with new information about what dogs can do, how they are being trained, etc. etc. She never neglected to provide us with the 'Petco' prescribed material, but gave us so much more. She always took the time to work one on one with all dogs (when time allowed). This wasn't just a job for her is was her passion and every dog / dog owner benefited from it. But sadly she was let go. From what we heard it had something to do with mistreating a dog, even though that dog owner completely disagrees with that statement. It seems they just didn't like all the admiration she was receiving. I would suggest folks not get their dogs trained there anymore. I'm really disappointed in Petco as a customer service company and one who supposedly cares about its employees.... read more

Worst Petco !! 1st vist took 3 people to get a token for the tag machine :( 2nd (last) visit - couldn't tell me gift card balance via computer - said would call 800 # on back of card but "would have to stop to help a customer" if one came ?!?!???!?!?!??... and I am a 'martian' :( Clueless AND uncaring ... perhaps they have not heard there are other pet places to shop :( read more

I shop at this store constantly and spend a TON of money with them weekly with all the animals and tanks i have. Up until now i would say they are great. My latest encounter with them was beyond TERRIBLE. I went in to get salt water for my tank and decided to look at the fish. I am relatively new to the salt water world so i love all the information i can get. I decided to talk to the guy in that section name John. He was the rudest most belittling person i have met. When i told him that the guy at my saltwater fish store told me something different than what he said he proceeded to tell me "then go back to your fish guy and get out of my store" a few seconds later after belittling me every time i asked a question come to find out her is a manager! I have a ferret i was trying to purchase for my daughter that is currently there on antibiotics because it was sick when we tried to buy it. So now i have called corporate a total of 3 times and they told me "Christy" the big manager from this store would call me back within 2 business days and it's been over a week not to mention that they have not called me back to tell me the baby ferret was ready that my daughter was buying with her Christmas money. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. I will take my business somewhere else and i recommend anyone else do the same. read more
