Stopped by the sales department to purchase a new BMW. The floor manager didn't do anything wrong, but I just felt he lived in the past. He kept telling me this car was the only one that is available around and refused to provide some reasonable discount. Come on, there is a thing called the Internet. I found two exactly the same configuration cars within 1 hr drive area. I made them few calls and stopped by one of them, then I got my ideal deal. I had a disappointing experience with Yev over the phone. From the moment we started talking, he came across as rude and dismissive. He asked why I was calling and I politely explained that I had questions about terminating a lease, his response was "ok.. what?" I asked what the process was and he said "then pay it" sarcastically. Instead of providing helpful information, he seemed annoyed by my inquiries. I had more questions but he hung up on me. I called back and unfortunately he picked up so I asked to speak to another manager. He wouldn't allow it and said "it's 7pm, he won't talk to you." His tone was curt, he kept interrupting me, and even made comments about me wasting money for terminating a lease prematurely which was obviously none of his business. This kind of customer service is unacceptable especially from a managerial position. We are long-time and regular customers (having purchased at least 3 cars this year) and this experience left such a bad taste. Overall, a very frustrating and unprofessional experience. read more

Another ridiculous and frustrating car dealership experience today. Set a very specific appointment in advance with a salesperson named Kam, for two very specific car models to test drive. Drove all the way down from SF to be told Kam is off on another test drive. Ask if we can deal with another salesperson instead -- and told no, that we should sit and wait at Kam's desk for him to return. Umm ... ok ... so after waiting a while, finally decide to start looking at the models parked outside to see for ourselves. Several minutes later, another salesperson finally asks if they can help us. They tell us the model isn't even available, but at least has the customer service know how to show the inside of another comparable model. No offer of a test drive or anything, and told again we should deal with the same salesperson -- who remains "out on a test drive" long after ... and "sorry, we are all very busy" from the other sales guy. Well, here's an idea -- don't set an appointment if you won't be there, particularly for a model you don't even have available! Only giving the "extra" star because of the moderately helpful other sales person who finally gave us five minutes of his time. We'll stick with SF BMW from now on ... read more

First, I was lucky enough especially during these days to find a car I wanted without waiting. The whole process took less than 24 hours. I was checking BMW USA website , and it showed that this particular car is " on the lot". I sent in my inquiry , in less than 15 minutes , I received an email from Ali Ashrafi. At first he thought the car was pre-sold especially for this 4 series, but it turned out that the car was not allocated to anyone. As a good salesman, he went to the lot and took picture of the car that they just received early in the day just to make sure the car is there. On PeterPan website, that car is still showing "in-transit". The car still needs to go though pre-delivery inspection. I came down to the dealership right away to put down the deposit , and secure the car, it was 5:15pm, in 30 minutes I am done. On 2nd day, the whole signing process took less than 1 hour. Ali was very responsive throughout the whole buying process. He shows me some features on the car, such as digital ID, even help me inspect the car to make sure there's is no scratches/dent. The finance advisor manager, Tom was not pushy at all to get me sign up on the add-ons. He did explain everything briefly. I like how we sign everything (besides the DMV paper) on the table digitally, and they gave me a USB drive for documents I signed. I will definitely come to Peter Pan for my next BMW. read more
