Ben coming here for breakfast since my brother took me here 6 years ago. Large portions and pancakes with every order. The service is quick and friendly. When you go, parking in the lot is usually available.

So I never even knew this place existed! A friend of mine picked it and it did not disappoint!!!! The service was great! Wendy was very pleasant, welcoming and attentive! The vibe is definitely a "welcome home", "come in and take a load off" type! The food was great!!! Let me tell you, I don't eat grits outside of my house but their grits were AMAZING!!!!!! This was my first visit but I can guarantee it won't be my last!

This was a better experience for my husband than for me. Service was good and friendly. Although it did take a while for us to receive our food. And quite a while for us to get our check, as the waitress was involved with a long conversation with some folks a few tables over from us and it was hard to get her attention. We came for lunch as we were going to a couple other stores in this plaza. We've been here many times over the years as it was a place my mom used to come with her friends; however, we hadn't been here recently. Breakfast is served all day and is really what I should have ordered. But I'd eaten a big breakfast and was craving a more lunch-like meal. I had their chicken Caesar wrap without the croutons. The sandwich was okay with pieces of white meat chicken, lettuce, and dressing. When I picked it up, it fell apart on the plate. I didn't mind, as I got to choose what of the mix I wanted to eat. The well-done crinkle cut fries were okay as well. It wasn't that it was bad, just that it wasn't anything special. I think I just ordered wrong. My husband's country breakfast had eggs, biscuits, and gravy. He liked his meal. I tried their gravy as it's usually one of my weaknesses, but didn't care for it. In any case, I would still order a breakfast for lunch next time we come. Prices are very reasonable here. You order and eat at your table, but you pay up front at the cashier as you leave. They also have a number of cakes, cookies, and muffins from which to choose on the way out. We brought home a slice of red velvet cake which was quite good and less expensive than what you'd pay for a slice anywhere -- including the Publix a couple doors down. It tasted homemade with its sweet cream cheese frosting. As it's a convenient stop when nearby, I'm sure we will be here again.

This place has been around for over 32 years. A steadfast anchor of the Riverbridge plaza. Billed as the "Happy Place", it has a large of breakfast items, combos and sandwiches. The food is good and the servers are pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my Country Special, which had 2 eggs, biscuit and sausage gravy and a side of home fries. They tempt you with some enticing and delicious pastries as you wait to pay. Most patrons left (including us) with their sweet treats in hand.

Arrived and seated at 11:40am Table next to where I was seated had customers seated at 12:05pm and waited on before me! I said something to the server and she said I'll be there shortly. Didn't wait around for her to get "there"!

So excited to try petes place wish we had found it sooner! Everything delicious I was dying to try the keylime stuffed French toast but thought it would be too much like dessert. Next time! The stuffed pig definitely lived up to its name. The breakfast sandwich was delicious!!!! Local family run business they definitely do it right!!!!! This was a breakfast like we would expect to find in the mountains. Friendly people and great food!!!!!

Food: 5/5 Service:5/5 Ambiance:5/5 The last time that I came to this establishment it was over two years ago. The food that I had two years ago was absolutely delicious and I'm happy to say that they kept up with their freshness and food delivery. I came in here mid week in the morning to grab some breakfast. There was IHOP in this plaza, but I decided to revisit, and I was satisfied!!! I ordered the catfish meal that came with scrambled eggs and home fries and I also had an omelette with pancakes. Everything was so delicious. Everything was made fresh and with two tomatoes on the side.... I cannot complain!!!Yes, it's a small interior but the food made this experience worth it. This is my first time dining in by the way, I am glad that I got the first hand experience of how breakfast is ran on the inside. Overall, I definitely will be back again and I'm taking more people with me. Everyone has to experience this! kudos to the staff that was there. They made this experience seamless!!

First thought that came to my mind upon entering the restaurant was organized chaos. It was busy and chaotic but everyone there seemed to know exactly what needed to be done to tend to each and every customer. We were seated after a few minutes of wait time. The black coffee was okay. The food was okay, little too greasy for our tastes, but it was served while hot. Our server Michelle was very patient with her coworkers and customers which enhanced our dining experience. Food 3/5. Ambiance 3/5. Service by Michelle 4/5. The reason why I am giving this place 2/5 stars is because I want others to be aware of how rude service by an employee named Amanda can affect the restaurant's image. Server named Amanda who works there was very rude in how she carried herself, yelling at her coworkers with attitude, not an ounce of positivity, and shaking her head at customers while passing by tight space with food in her hands. She is one reason we won't be returning here, and we definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. We believe hospitality is one of the reasons why people visit mom and pop restaurants and become regulars there over other major chain restaurants. It was embarrassing for me to have taken someone here who was visiting from out of the country because of decent reviews, only to have her experience Amanda's rudeness and unprofessionalism. *Please learn to respect your customers and restrain your dislike for people when you are clocked in Amanda. We won't be returning so you won't have to worry about us, but for the sake of future customers. Being nice won't hurt.

The ambiance was quaint and inviting. The bakery case is incredible, with a huge selection of pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats that make it hard to decide what to order. Seating is a bit limited both inside and outside, so I could see it filling up quickly during busy times. For breakfast, we started with the bacon, egg, and cheese croissants, and they were outstanding. The croissants were buttery, flaky, and had just a subtle hint of sweetness that made them even better. I paired mine with a perfectly made cortadito, which was the ideal complement to breakfast. Even though we were already full, we couldn't leave without trying dessert. We ordered a slice of cake that was a combination of flan and tres leches (I wish I could remember the name). The egg was thin and folded, just enough crispy bacon, and a slice of white American cheese. I was a big fan of this sandwich! My husband had his on Cuban bread, and the sandwich was grilled. He loved it! They also do great coffee drinks! I give them an A+ for offering all their coffee drinks in decaf. I had a cafe con leche, which was rich and smooth. There was a healthy crowd, but we were seated immediately and the service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is clean, bright and contemporary. Breakfast and lunch are served all day, and pretty much everything on the menu sounded good. We went with the oxtail and grits, biscuits and gravy, and avocado toast, plus breakfast potatoes, sausage links and hash brown casserole. Exceptional. All of it. The oxtail was fall-apart tender, with a rich gravy over creamy, flavorful grits that had exactly the right consistency. The biscuits were huge and fluffy with a good crumble. And the avocado toast wasn't some sad little schmear of avocado--it came piled high with avocado, tomato and onion. Actually, everything was generously portioned. Come hungry and be prepared to roll out the door. One thing I especially appreciated: they were working on improvements to the menu that day and asking customers to try and give feedback on a potential new corned beef hash dish. You do have to pay for parking in the municipal lot if you don't have a resident decal. It's not too much though. My server was new but very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. She even caught an error with my order before I did! They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. They had a lot of specials on the board too. I decided to try the shrimp club special. It had whole grilled shrimp on sun-dried tomato ciabatta with mixed greens, tomato and bacon. The chipotle aioli was too spicy for me. It was delicious but took away from the sandwich. Obviously it's a personal preference so if you can't handle spice, ask for something else or at least get it on the side. They put a lot on. It made the bread slightly soggy by the end. The tomato was fresh. The greens were wilted from the dressing. The grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly. It was a little different to eat with them being whole but it worked. The ciabatta was very flavorful. I'm not usually a fan but it was soft and really held up to all of the sandwich fillings. The fries were nice and crunchy on the outside. They gave me regular fries instead of sweet potato fries but the server brought out a small plate of sweets for me. If you like sweet potato fries then order these! They were much better than the regular ones. I enjoyed the coleslaw. Perfect portion size and balanced flavors. I tried the key lime pie martini. Definitely not worth it for the price. I didn't get much alcohol out of it. Great presentation though! Oh and I ordered the conch fritters appetizer to go. I wanted to try them but knew I couldn't eat them and my sandwich. You get 6 big fritters. I can see these being super filling before an entree. The conch was tender but they were doughy - a typical fritter. I wish they had cracked conch.....

As would be expected with a condo, there is very little guest parking - maybe 9 spaces- and they were all full. Thus, I parked on the street behind the condo. There is lots of free street parking all over this area, which is mostly residential. There is some construction being done on the front and side of the building, so the entrance is a little hard to find. It is on the West side of the building, and it doesn't look like the entrance to a restaurant AT ALL! Just a side door propped open with a large, wooden, hand-painted sign next to it announcing the Cafe. I walked into the door and accidentally turned into the kitchen. The cook greeted me warmly and redirected me down the other hallway. I loved this place already! The Cafe looks like an old Southern diner, in a very not-decorated-by-a-designer way, which felt very homey to me. Two diners greeted us when we came in, we sat ourselves at a booth table, and eventually our wonderfully eclectic and kind storytelling waitress brought us menus. The menus are lovingly written in a colloquial, storytelling style that is fun and warm to read. Otherwise, the peeling laminate menus are wonderfully non designed also, and again, I love this! The board of daily specials was special with cornbread french toast amongst the items. I loved seeing more than one regular menu item I have never seen anywhere else (grits inside an egg wrap. My friend chose a breakfast quesadilla. I chose to make my own meal by ordering a slice of (heavily touted on the menu) banana bread, hashbrown casserole, and grits with cheese. I loved every bite! The hashbrown casserole was giant, and crisped all over the outside, so cutting it open was a treat- delicious. The banana bread was light, moist, and also delicious. The grits with cheese were nothing different or special, which was exactly as I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this quirky hidden cafe! Shoot! I am already craving hashbrown casserole and banana bread again...
