Update: My dog now has pneumonia from aspirating his own vomit at this pet hotel. He can possibly die because of your guys neglect! Do not let your dogs stay at the pet hotel here ever. We left my dog there for 4 days. From Tuesday night-Saturday afternoon. We paid for the gold package and in that package includes separate play times from the workers 2 times a day outside of eating. When we got him back he was covered in his own feces and lethargic. I would not be surprised if they were to give him Benadryl or something else. He had feces in between his paw pads, on his stomach, butt, and under the collar. It was dried and along with a small amount of blood so it's been there for more than a day. They charged us $321 for the stay however if they were to give him the attention we paid for, he should not have been left like this. They most definitely left his kennel dirty. The workers most definitely do not care about there job and it is projected on the animals. I couldn't even touch him because he was so filthy. He has been drowsy all day. read more

We were in town for Vegas so we had our dog stayed here at the Pet Hotel for 3 nights. It was always sad dropping her off somewhere when she is not familiar with anyone. The staff seem very friendly and they made her felt comfortable. After our trip was over, we went to pick her up at PetSmart before her check out time at 11am. While waiting, the front desk girl told us she was shy and nervous with other dogs, but was not loud at all. Our dog was so happy to see us and was filled with happy tears. The store gave us a discount for first time stayed which was awesome. We had her stayed at a Pet Hotel in San Jose, CA and they did not give us discount. read more

Usually bring my dog here when I'm in town for vacation this time was horrible dropped him off 12/30/21 - 1/1/22 when I picked him up he looked shaken up and had poop all over his bed to the point I just threw it away. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG AT DOG HOTEL! I used to love this petsmart only because we had such a great experience with our dog trainer Destinee. She is BEYOND amazing and I would recommend her any day. As for the dog hotel I give it zero out of 5 stars because first of all my dog came out frighten from this place after spending 2 nights there. She peed herself which she never does when bringing her out, her bed was super wet from pee as well. The employees working for the dog hotel are rude ass hell not wanting to give me any details on how my dog did that weekend. You can just tell the employees did not care to be there or want to deal with any dogs. I will NEVER board my dog there again and pray no one else ever does. On top of all this, the manager (Caucasian man) is a huge dick to his employees and to customers. He doesn't care to listen to any concerns about our dogs. People like him should not be dealing with others especially our dogs who do not know any better and only deserve love. Last time we went we brought our dog (a miniature poodle) and cat to stay in the pet hotel and they made me do their job for them. I had to take my cat out of his carrier and put him in the cage. I was struggling because it was the cage on the bottom and there were water bowls inside the cage that were in the way and my cat is a long and heavy guy so his leg ended up getting wet and the lady just stood there and laughed while I struggled to put him in there. Then when we came back to get him all they said about his stay was that he was a little "spicy". My cat was acting traumatized when we got home and was super skinny after being there for a week. He also ended up peeing in his carrier which he never does and I had to bathe him for the first time in his life. This was NOT the first time he had been there either and I never had this experience in the past. Our dog who is an older gentleman had some separation anxiety and I guess was barking too much. They also said he was puking, which he never does only if they put water in his food, which we specifically tell them NOT to do. They left his puke there long enough for him to end up eating it and told us how gross it was that he did that. Then these ladies lectured us about using a slow feeder, even though he is a small dog who shouldn't even need one. He is also the slowest eater on the planet. I tried to explain that to them but they didn't listen and told us they were the professional dog trainer and they knew better. My mom recently made another reservation and brought the poodle back to this place but when she got there they turned him away because he is "too old" even though he was the same age he was the last time we brought him a couple months ago. They said they were going to call her and tell her but I guess they didn't get around to it. So they wasted my mom's time by making her go there just to get denied. They also apparently don't have people who stay there at night. Isn't the whole point of this place to watch your pet and keep it safe when you're not there? How is that supposed to happen if no one is there? What if your dog or cat had a medical emergency? We used to take them there every time we went out of town, but I guess they have just gone down hill. I think the people working there are lazy and don't care about the animals or their owners. They even upgraded our 9lb dog to a suite which I'm sure she appreciated. :) All of the employees were very nice, when we picked her up they informed us of her bathroom and social habits. They have empty aquarium filter boxes in the isle. You have to guess that you need to ask for one from the back nothing ahas a sign or tells you. Then they don't even have it in stock?! I tried 2 different ones, why the heck do you have boxes on the floor if you don't have stock! Then the cashier called over the mic to have a stock check. Bought my aunt's Maltese to get a wash & cut. The cut was horrible. One ear was longer then the other. Her chin had two chucks of long hair. They shaved her butt hole that it was bare there. I told them to fix it and they were like it looks fine I'm like no pointing it out to them. So they took her back and tried to fix it but it seems like they made it worst. Sigh. My aunt was very upset. Also they didn't clean her eye area very well too they just cut it. Making it worst for the dog when it grows back it will be poking her eyes. sighh.. Should give 0 stars, lost a loyal customer to them today. Heres what happened. 2 days ago I walked in with my dog a 16 year old Shih Tzu, partially blind. Asked for a haircut they said he can come in the next business day at 8 am. We go the day of apointment, and find out the A/C is out and they would give us a free top dog cut, nail trim and grind. Sounds awesome, right ??? Heres the catch today, the day of my dogs apointment we arrive and get there early, we had to wait a few minutes due to the lady doing his hair was in yet, so we waited. We walk into grooming and first thing she does is she looks at my dog and says, "I can not cut him today hes a senior liability". He was just cut in March from same location. Another employee said the same, said "oh the policy just went into effect probably the time you last came and no one told you" So we leave with this happening, and in front of other customers. This is also the same Petsmart a whole year ago we went to the Banfield hospital and my dog got a tooth knocked out by staff as they tried to muzzle him. We just rescued a small dog and have taken her here for grooming 3 times and will not be returning! The first and last they said they ground her nails and didn't, only clipped. This time it doesn't even smell like they gave her a bath, let alone brushed her (still messy aroundher ears). Now the 2nd time was great, even had little bows in her hair, but that groomer is not on the board anymore. I have put in a call to the store manager, will see if she actually calls me back... We brought our apricot mini poodle name Paolo here Friday, Sept. 6th. The groomer lady who helped us was very helpful and friendly. She said our poodle would be ready in three hours, I told her I how I want his cut to be and when we picked up Paolo he was totally cute with the new haircut. The price was so reasonable for him, complete treatment for $45.00, was happy with result I gave a good tip to the groomer lady. I was so happy we're bringing my Blue mini poodle Sept. 20th for her haircut too. I went to Noah's Arc groomer on MLK and was not happy with the outcome of my poodle. Thanks goodness she's grown all her hair back again so next week we'll definitely take her to Petsmart on N. Rainbow again. We'll be loyal customer to them now, I'm sure my 2 poodles, 1 yorkie will always be cute after their haircuts. It's hard to try different groomers cause you never know how you're family pet will be treated or the finish product of the haircut. Nice to know when you finally find a great groomer you can trust will take care of your family dogs. I highly recommend this Petsmart. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Where to begin well first I came here because my puppies get groomed at PetSmart and they love it so I figured I need to find a safe and wonder place for my babies to stay at while I'm gone for a family emergency. Haha jokes on me! I get there to check them in and they forgot to call there vet for their records. So first of all I drive 30 minuets to this PetSmart cause I felt comfortable leaving them there. So then the so called supervisor says to me oh I'm sorry I forgot to call and we can't take them. So your telling me you didn't have time to do your job. As well as you didn't even have time to give me a courtesy call to see if I had copies of their records. Instead you decided to waste my time and now because of your fault for not doing your job and providing great costumer service you tell me you can not take my dogs because YOU FORGOT!!!! And your attitude was beyond remorseful she acted like she didn't even care. Like it wasn't even her problem. This isn't even the worst part. Then she tells me that she's sorry she made a promise that she would call and didn't because she was to busy and she stated she makes to many promises she just can't say no! Umm are you kidding me! What the hell is this! This is not a joke to me I have to drive 8hours to go help my family and all I wanted was to make sure my babies had a place to stay so they are not suffering in a car ride for 8 hours to make life easier but no this is very unprofessional! On our recent weekend jaunts, we were in the area on sunday, and came here to buy Nutro dry dog food for our cocker-spaniel. This has always been a clean store, nicely organized, and fully stocked. This review is regarding my cat's stay at the pet hotel last week (March 29, 2018-March 31, 2018). I dropped him off here to be taken care of during my wedding weekend. I generally love Petsmart and regularly take him to our local Petsmart, whom adore him. He gets blood drawn without flinching. I walk up to the desk and there's a gentleman helping another customer and there's 2 other women working behind the desk and I ask them if I can check him in with one of them. They both say, "Sure!" So I stand there a couple moments and one of the women appears to be beginning to help me, while still chatting with her other female coworker. I wait patiently. She goes from behind the desk to the side of the desk and continues chatting with her coworker. Another man gets in back of me in line. The two women begin chatting with him and I gather that he is an employee dropping his dog off. One of the women tells the male employee, "Oh I can check him in for you right now." 2nd woman coworker, she has been sitting in a chair in the waiting area, says, "Oh, I think the lady with the cat has been waiting..." And 1st woman says, "Oh, yeah, I was wondering why she was still there with the cat..." Or something to that effect. I get him checked in, paperwork is quick and easy. As soon as I go to leave, I am called into the back area to come take his collar off. Not sure why this is a policy, as his ID tags are on his collar and one would think it would be safest for him to leave those on, in the event of an emergency and he gets out of his kennel. One of the female employees is reaching into the kennel to take his collar off. He is visibly upset. Now, I'm not a cat specialist, but it seems obvious to me that any cat is going to react the same way to a stranger grabbing at his collar after 15 seconds of meeting them, while in an enclosed space. Fast forward a few hours and I get a call from the male manager (very nice seeming guy, clean cut, in his early 20s). It's about my cat, saying he has been meowing and seems very upset and is being "aggressive". I'm in the middle of doing some last minute pre-wedding shopping with my husband. I find this odd as I have never seen him so much as hiss at another person, unless he is being threatened. The conversation continues and he seems very hesitant to even be calling, he assures me that medically the cat is fine, he just seems stressed. I've left him to board before with his vet in a similar setting and I have NEVER had a complaint before about his behavior. He lets an 8 year old child bathe him in our kitchen sink. I've flown with him on an airplane. I explain that my wedding is tomorrow, we have guests in town, and I am staying in a suite in the Venetian. We are from out of town. I can't come get me. I am assured that this was not what he was asking me and the cat is fine, just upset. That there is no reason I would need to come get him. I got this phone call at about 8:45pm, just before the facility closes, so I couldn't get ahold of anyone, even if I wanted to. Next morning, my husband and I get up to go to our early spa appointments and start our wedding events. I check a call and I have a missed call and voicemail from Petsmart, left at 8:36am, from Emma. She is aware that I spoke to the manager the previous night and she is requesting that I come and pick him up. On my wedding day? You're kidding me. Yes, they were made aware of the fact it was my wedding day. My husband calls corporate, we miss our spa appointments, and have to spend the next hour on the phone so this can get resolved. Corporate was very nice. We would not have to come get him. Keep in mind the reasoning given to me was that he was meowing. I have a hard time believing this was the first time they've dealt with an upset cat in their boarding facility. We finally get in to pick him up and the manager, the gentleman I spoke with on the phone the first time, is very pleasant and lets me know that there is no charge. This was very unexpected and appreciated. He leads me into the back to get him and there is a towel draped over his cage (which I approved of). The manager is standing back, about 6 feet from the kennel. Almost like he was afraid of my 12 lbs domestic short haired beast. My husband jokes that they acted like he was Hannibal Lecter. My cat was sitting calmly like a bread box in his carrier inside the kennel. I zip up the carrier and take him home. Not until I get him out do I realize he REEKS of excrement from head to toe. Nothing is actually on him, his whole coat just smells. Maybe he was meowing because the fact he was in a tiny area that smelled like feces? All I know is that this facility needs to re-evaluate their hiring or training practices. They have no business working with animals. I am not the first to say it, they have similar reviews. I am not here to bash anyone, just a sincere warning to other pet parents. read more

Do not trust their grooming services. Had my baby groomed Friday afternoon, starting late Friday, had terrible diarrhea and super sick! Saturday bloody stool and very ill. He has gotten worse and we had to take him to the vet. He's been to the groomer several times, this is the first time he's had a bad experience. The vet ran tests, said from all the symptoms and after running tests, they believe it's "stress colitis" brought on by unnecessary stress. I don't know what happens behind the closed doors at the grooming salon here, but I will NEVER bring our baby back to these people. Stay Away! read more

This is our first time we had our puppy stay at the Pet Hotel here in Las Vegas for two nights & three days with individual play time! Upon arriving, the staff was very friendly and attentive and was able to answer all our questions while we were checking in. Though out my puppy's stay, I would call in for a check up and they were very accommodating and would inform me on how well my puppy was doing. We got my puppy a suite which included a bed and his own TV and lots of room for $40 a night and $9 for individual play time. Unfortunately, my puppy is only 6 months and has not been neutered yet, so he wasn't able to join the group play, which is totally understandable! I simply love this location. Every time we come in there is always someone who comes around to see if we were finding everything ok. Today we came into PetSmart to pick up some cat food both wet and dry. My cat is very picky believe it or not lol and won't eat certain brands really as much as I tried to get him to he just won't. So on that note we couldn't find the 12 pack of Sheba pate. I went to look for a employee, Tina was very helpful and tried to look for some in the stock room but couldn't find anything. She suggested to ask the people at the register to honor the price. And they were more then happy to do it. I didn't catch the cashiers name but on the receipt it says cashier 627189. She was very friendly and happy to honor the price. When we mentioned that it would be fun to work at PetSmart she mentioned how much she really does love working for PetSmart. We boarded Hulk at The PetSmart PetHotel on N. Rainbow. We paid for the extended check out on Labor Day and were told we picked him up at 7pm. Apparently they got the times wrong for the holiday and they actually closed at 6pm so we had to leave him an extra night. When Hulk came home this morning I walked by him and noticed his testicals were extremely red and swollen. I bent down and they looked like they had been burnt. I called his Vet and they instructed me to immediately call the hotel and asked what had happened and bring him in ASAP to be checked out. The Hotel has told me that Hulk enjoyed laying on the ground more than the cot (which I am very aware my puppy likes to lay on the ground where it is cool). They said maybe Hulk dragged his area on their ground which is not a smooth surface. (In the 9 months We have had our puppy he has never done this.) He then told me they clean their floors with chemicals and there was a chance his kennel wasn't rinsed completely and I should try neosporin. The vet agreed that this was not an injury from him rubbing himself on the ground, but more than likely a chemical burn. My puppy needed to get his wound flushed, he has to wear an E-Collar, he's on antibiotics, a cream and a spray for the injury. Hulk secreted his anal glands on the nurses because he is scared. Hulk has not stopped crying since being home. My only thoughts are how long was my puppy hurting from this? Why did no one notice? Or did they notice and were hoping we didn't? Why would an employee instruct me to put neosporin on this type of wound instead of my initial comment of me taking him to the Vet for proper care? After calling the Hotel they initially told me they weren't responsible for any Vet bills and wouldn't be covering the $258 bill. I argued and after the hotel employee asked to speak with our Vet, they agreed to cover the costs of the Vet bill. Please be aware to not take your pets to this hotel. I do have to say there is a gentleman from corporate I believe that is trying to get to the bottom of what happened to my puppy for me. But I do think I should receive the $100.10 back from the PetHotel. No one should have to pay for their dog to not be taken care of properly. #petsmartpethotel read more

Now, I take my fur baby here to get groomed and they do a great job all the time but the staff in grooming is rude. I dropped him off and Jennifer who took care of him was great but one employee I couldn't get her name was so rude! I walk in to pick him up and no one greets me. I ask the lady I'm here to get coco? I started noticing he was terrified to go, would no longer allow me to touch his feet and if I would try too many times he would bit. My dog had never bit me before nor would he hide from me. I'm giving this store 3 stars because usually when I go in there, they have everything I need and I get decent service. But this happened the other day: I was in there with a friend whose dog is very timid and I had suggested that we take the dog to different stores that are pet friendly and somewhat socialize her. Expose her to people, dogs, etc. So we're walking around this petsmart and another person had her dog with her and I asked that person if her dog was friendly and if our dog could meet her dog. At that moment, The manager (or who I assume was the manager) came up to us and very sternly said, "You can't train in this store." Now I could understand his concern if I was recruiting customers steamers to be dog training clients or if I was taking up an aisle doing a bunch of sit-stays, but we were merely socializing a very timid puppy. He told us we could just "walk around" (which is what we were actually doing) or we needed to leave. I called the corporate office and asked if there was a policy that I was not aware of that states that if you bring your dog into the store you can't socialize it. Obviously I knew the answer. The customer service representative on the other end of that phone call encouraged me to launch a complaint against that manager, and I did. Super unprofessional. The irony? When you call their store, the voice greeting says "Thank you for calling Petsmart...where we will do anything for your pets" ! read more
