Eating here at the moment. All I have to say is happy hour is a joke. My boyfriend and I ordered the pot stickers. The happy hour potstickers they will not pan fry like the regular appetizer option. We ordered them anyways and when they came out there were only 3 to an order. When I go to happy hour at any other restaurant I am never given half of a portion it's always full portion at half price or just a cheaper price. If your going to give half a portion say in the description how many come I an order. I only come here because I have gift cards that were given to me. Once those are gone never will eat here again. I always give PF Changs 5 stars, but tonight was different. We were entertaining out of town friends who wanted the Happy Hour prices on appetizers. Our server was crappy and condescending in informing us that the prices were only good in the bar and when we asked to be reseated there she was nothing short of bitchy. The bartenders were awesome and the food was great. Our bill was screwed up and the manager and bartenders were great about fixing it. Will we be back? Yes. Will we ask NOT to be seated in the area covered by the original server? YES! A simple "happy hour prices are only good in the bar, let me show you to a seat" would have been great. I love P.F. Changs... Usually. I was surprised and slightly taken aback by my experience today. The service was mundane, uninterested and slow. The food, all of it, was boring and bland. The appetizer was burnt and the waiter seemed distant when I asked questions about the soup. His eyes seemed to be always trailing to another table (which is understandable in a situation where you have many guests -he had 2 tables-). All in all, a boring, bland experience with boring, bland service. Except the receptionist at the front who wore a cute red bow. Her smile gave this place a three instead of two. read more

Ok I'm not reading why the reviews are adding up to only a 3. This place is great. Food excellent. Vegan menu is wonderful. Prices aren't that bad. Lettuce wraps to die for so much better than anyone else's. Seating can be difficult on the weekend but there's nice places to sit and wait. Wait staff does a great job. Overpriced and the food was mediocre. This restaurant is fairly new. It is located at the Clearwater mall. I honestly have gotten Asian food as good if not better from the food court for a third of the price. The Quality of the sesame chicken was horrible. This specific location was my favorite so far. The staff are always in a good mood and are willing to help if they can. We went the other weekend during Shark Week and we were joking around to see if they would turn it on and five minutes later Shark Week was up on the TV. Exceptional food every time we go.. it's really that simple.... The only real drawback we found is that the kids seating people at the front desk tend to get mired down with a lot of traffic and start making reservations mistakes and seating mistakes ......we have seen five or six people behind that desk still not be able to handle the logistics of seating people properly read more

I almost never give a chain restaurant more than 3 stars, just my personal bias towards chains. That said, I find the reviews of this Changs interesting because we have eaten there 4 times since it opened this year and have always had a good experience. The food and service is as good as the Westshore location. I would give them at least 3 1/2 stars if I could. It's a great dinner and a movie since the new Cobb theater is right there. read more

I have visited this restaurant for lunch innumerable occasions and have always been very pleased with the service and food. My friend and I decided to enjoy a dinner date here and it is with great regret that we did so. The server was curt and testy, impatient and short with her replies on entree description. The soup is not served with the entree and neither is the double scoop of rice served with lunch. Also not served are the terrific sauces again served with lunch. Our entrees arrived, mine being the lemon chicken and my date being the flank steak. Both entrees were cold as was the rice. The veggies were broccoli and those were cooked way beyond chewy. We called over the nasty server and she said she would call the manager. The groveling manager wringing her hands and whimpering about her regrets at the cold food, took it back and they remade both entrees. Those were redelivered to us, freshly made about 15 minutes later. You would want to think they would be steaming hot, sizzling. Not so. These entrees were luke warm and the rice was still cold. What a huge disappointment. To me, P F Chang was where we celebrated birthdays, Christmas, etc. Just a hugely popular place to dine for us and very cosmopolitan in feeling. The server did not invite us nor suggest dessert, which in my opinion should have been proffered as a sort of apology for the poorly made entrees. Nor did the server suggest hot tea or coffee. It saddens me to write this restaurant off my Great Places to Dine as there is such a shortage in the Clearwater area as it is. The take out Asian food in any of the strip malls is inedible and loaded with salt. They have begun to make this with less than desirable meats to save on costs. So at a loss as to where to get great Asian food with P F Chang now crossed of my list that is getting shorter and shorter. Proceed with caution for dinner and I dont know if I will venture back for lunch, could be a different chef. read more

Been to the Tampa location and never had a bad meal, but I had the Mongolian beef for dinner and it was basicly like jerky. Very, OLD jerky. If I could give a zero, I would. There was a manager there who was the biggest idiot I have ever seen. I went into the place, asked to sit by the window. There was a table open, but aparantly she was saving it for friends of hers and simply told me that the table was broken, so I sat elsewhere. Two minutes later, she is hugging and kissing a Couple, her age, and she takes them to the "broken Table". Wow, not broken anymore... Sherry, I think her name was. A pretty brunette, who was not so pretty after she opened her mouth. The food was just ok. I could not get out of there without using the bathroom as something did not agree with me, besides Shelly. Sat down and waited for 20 minutes until the waitress that I tried to flag down finally came over and asked if I wanted to sit down there. She leaves and comes back after 5 minutes. Ordered waters and never asked if we were ready to order food as soon as she dropped the drinks off. 10 minutes later we left for Red Robin where they took care of us 1000% better than PF Changs did. read more

Like others here, I love the PF Chang's in Tampa and was excited to see one come to countryside mall. Unfortunately, it has been a major disappointment both times Ive gotten food here. One thing to know is this is apparently not a full PF Changs at least that's what I was told shortly after opening by the staff. They do not have some items on the menu but you will find it on the menu at the Tampa Changs. The first time I tried about 3 weeks after they opened and got the changs chicken for lunch. Ive had frozen tv dinners that tasted better It really tasted highly processed like it just came out of the freezer. It was nothing like the food Ive had in Tampa. After this attempt I hadn't been back for a while. The second attempt was just this past weekend over halloween when they had the get 20% off for take out. I placed an order online to be picked up at 8 pm. I get to the restaurant at 810, surprise my food isn't ever ready. I and another couple had to sit in the waiting area for a good 20 minutes. Note to management: If I order something to be picked up at 8pm (the order was placed at 720) it should be ready to be picked up at 8 pm not 820. That's 60 minutes to get a relatively easy order together. Anyway, I get home and the mandarin chicken I got again tasted processed/ frozen. It was supposed to have a mix of vegetables in it. It had like 3 HUGE chunks of brocoli in it and some slivers of things I think were supposed to be pepper and bok choy. It was very thin/ soupy as well. Looking through the bag they also forgot to put in the rice. Im not sure what the problem is with this site is or if it's some kind of franchise experiment or what but I will avoid it like the plague from now on and won't be back. If you want better chinese/ asian food go five minutes down the road to ivory mandarin bistro. Never had any problems there. read more

My husband and I came for the first time on 5/9/15. It was a 45 min to hour wait, so we sat and ate at the bar. We did the 2 for $39 meal. The food was beyond Delicious. Portions were very filling. Do not go to PF Changs at this location I've never written a review on here and I am not the type to complain but this place showed the worst service and organizational skills that I have ever seen. Called in a to-go order for fried rice and a lettuce wrap Sunday night at around 7:30 and was told it would be ready at 8:20. Got there at 8:20 and the hostess told us that we must have called the wrong store because they had no order for us. I checked the number we called with the business cards on the host stand and the numbers matched, so obviously we called the right store. She then told us that it got lost in the system and they would have to just remake it. Ok fine. 30 minutes later we still don't have our food. I work in the food service industry and I know how long it takes to make fried rice and package a lettuce wrap, especially if it's on the fly. We waited 30 minutes extra on a Sunday night. When our food was finally ready it came out and instead of handing it to us and getting us all checked out she proceeded to help another customer who had just got there for their to-go order. Wasn't offered a discount, an apology, a manager, nothing. We left the house at 8 to get this food on a Sunday night and didn't even get home til 9:30. If we wanted to wait an hour and a half to eat gourmet fast food we would have grabbed a table. Needless to say we won't be returning, terrible experience. read more

Let me first say the service has always been spectacular! Both times I've been inside and eaten my waitress was super attentive and the service was quick, friendly and professional. That's where I would give them 5 stars, however the food is less than par for the higher priced of a menu. The shrimp was $18 and was maybe 10-12 pieces of shrimp covered in a soggy coat of batter. The kicker and my 3rd and final time ever eating here was last night when I ordered to-go. In the sealed plastic container, at the bottom of my crab wontons was the nastiest black food bug I've ever seen. This was not a knat - it was a gross mid-sized bug that had been living in PF Chang's kitchen and ended up at the bottom of my crab wontons. I'll never eat there again. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I am absolutely mortified by the experience I just had. By far, the worst dining experience of my life and that includes any and all fast food restaurants I've ever been to. I really try not to leave poor reviews unless I feel other customers need to be warned, and in this case, it's appropriate. We ordered the orange ginger edamame as an appetizer. It arrived completely charred and the taste was smokey in a chemical kind of way. We told the waitress and she admitted the edamame "smelled weird" but I guess she chose to serve it to us anyway. She replaced it with traditional edamame. They were fine. An hour and 15 minutes later, we finally get our entrees which included 2 kids meals for my young kids. There seemed to be some unknown solids in the rice and I asked my husband but he pretty much just shrugged it off. The rice had that same chemical aftertaste but not as pungent. At this point, I thought maybe it's me. Long story short, my husband tries my 2 year old's lo mein, and he starts gagging, while pulling out an extremely long hair out of his mouth. We were horrified. It was long and dark and I'm talking at least 18" long. In my daughter's food. A kid's meal. We called the manager over, I believe her name was Michelle. She had the nerve to say, "well, it's on me. I don't know how that happened." We are all blonde so I'm hoping she didn't think it was ours but it appeared somewhat accusatory and to say the meal is on her seemed like she was inconvenienced and like she was doing us a favor. Obviously, "that" happened because this restaurant is violating a few health regulations. Staff aren't wearing hair nets and now I wonder what it was that I found in the rice. I hope this P.F. Chang's location is looked into by someone who can make some decisions with consumer safety in mind. It needs an overhaul and I feel sick that it could've been my small child gagging on that long strand of hair. read more

This is the 3rd PF Chang's members of our party had been to. My wife and I had a terrible experience at the Tampa location last year. Food was dried out, tasteless and more like a $30 plate of left over fast food. however, my wife wanted to try the new Clearwater location for her 50th birthday because it was newly opened and close to home. She made reservation a couple of days in advance for 12 people. The restaurant called her twice to confirm the reservation - that's a good sign. We all showed up just before 7p (our reservation time). That's when things went downhill fast. There's little area near the front door hostess station to wait for your table. People coming in and out of the restaurant were bumping into each other and it was unorganized chaos. Bad desgin The hostess said there were people "in the middle" of the 12 person seating arrangement that was slated for our party and those people were finishing up and we were asked to be patient. 5, 10, 15, 30 mins go by and we're all waiting near the front desk to be seated. One of our party members (who is a restaurant manager) calls for the manager Kristin. She wasn't able to help with the seating problem but did buy everyone appetizers. Very nice gesture on her part. Unfortunately, almost an hour went by before we were seated for dinner. The meal was good. Better than Tampa. The servers were OK. Missed getting water to several guests in our party. When the food came out they tried to remember who got what. That's always a sign of untrained or unskilled staff. What the people at the restaurant didn't realize was I had another surprise party planned after dinner for my wife. Because of the poor service initially getting seated at almost 8p rather than 7p - 2 of the couples had to miss the surprise afterwards because it was simply too late in the evening by the time we finished dinner. Of the 3 experiences our party had at PF Chang's the 12 in our group said never again. Maybe you get a pass for 1 time. Possibly for 2 times. But this chain of restaurants under-performs and underwhelms. My company works with various National firms and franchisees. I'd put PF Chang's near the bottom overall. read more

The service fluctuates between waitresses wanting you to order everything at once and then the food all comes together, or very slow. One thing to watch out for: we had a call gin and tonic and were charged $9.75 for each of the drinks. Their menu has no prices on mixed drinks so ask before you order. Overpriced chinese food. Tastes identical to fast food bad chinese. The atmosphere is nice but you pay dearly for it. I got a beef dish that was not even edible. Hubby finished his dish to avoid being hungry, I couldnt do it. After he finished we went to Chipolte for me. What a waste of time and hard earned money! Oh and the mall parking for the restaurants is desperate for a fix. Like maybe a garage?! Do something, anything, dont just leave it like that. read more
