Frustrated with the low quality of the Chinese places I have tried I decided to go to Chang's because I wanted good tasty Chinese food. P. F. Chang's delivered on taste and service. Price not so much. I have always considered Chang's to be stupid expensive when compared to good Chinese. But when this is the best I have found in the area I guess price should be somewhat secondary. I ordered the Mongolian Beef. The beef was a good cut of beef not some unknown mystery meat. I enjoyed the dish and also enjoyed their brown rice. Brown rice should not be confused with fried rice because it isn't fried rice. For dessert we had their chocolate cake. *Based on Delivery Order* I've been to PF Changs in person many times and by delivery many many times and it has always been good. I decided to get my usual Changs Lettuce Wraps with a couple extra "special sauces" and then went with the children's Lo Mein. I've had some of the kids meals before (all which were so good) but the lo Mein??? Omg! It's SOOOO good. Especially with some of the "Special Sauce" on it. We ordered take-out, one of the Chef's Bundles for 2. They've changed the offerings and we are not a fan but that's not the reason for this review. For an additional $4.50 we added one pork egg roll. I'm not sure who in the kitchen thought this would be edible, but it was burnt and dried out. We did enjoy the entrees, but adding $9 to get fried rice over white sticky rice is a bit much considering there's no meat in it. I have been to several PF Changs' in my lifetime and I must say that the North Naples location is one of the best I've ever been to. We (party of 5) had a delightful server who BROUGHT the energy with that big smile on his face and was very attentive to our needs. We split a several appetizers/entrees and all of the food was hot, well portioned, price reasonably, and delicious! ESPECIALLY the Great Wall of Chocolate! -Won Ton Soup -Five spiced Ribs -Pan Seared Dumplings -Chicken Lettuce Wraps -Pork Lomaine -Sesame Chicken -Great Wall of Chocolate In addition, every time we visit this location the Restaurant Manager - Deborah always greets the patrons and we enjoy speaking with her each visit. Bar tender and the cocktails were good and after that it was all down hill. The food is on a par with a below average strip mall chinese takeout the difference being about $10 per dish. The service was slow and the place looks in bad need of a makeover. There were dirty seats on the barstools that had not been cleaned of food and the restrooms were terrible. For the first time since they opened, I had a very disappointing experience. To preface, this was of my favorite restaurants to visit. Not really authentic but tasty and reliable food, even across cities when I was traveling for business years ago. The restaurant was empty at 5:30 although they did fill up more as time went on. But empty at 5:30 during season in SWFL is highly unusual. The server, Debbie, encouraged us to leave Google reviews so the restaurant would stay open. Admittedly we haven't been there recently since my wife has to limit intake of certain high sodium foods. I ordered short rib fried rice since it looked good on the menu. What arrived was shrimp fried rice. Shrimp is the one food which can aggravate a gout condition I have. When I told Debbie there was a mistake, she told me they haven't had that for a very long time. I repeated it was on the menu, she repeated that they don't have it and thought since they don't have it, I must have said shrimp. I said the obvious. How was I to know they don't have it if it was on the menu? Since this was a night out with friends I didn't make a scene and ate some of it. No offer for a substitution was offered. Now I'm beginning to understand why no one was there early. You can have plain food with great service and have a thriving restaurant. But you can't have good food with below par service. I do not sympathize with people who work in an industry and get frustrated by the people who make the industry to begin with. I have wanted to try PF Changs for years but never got the chance until last night. I was sadly disappointed, very disappointed. Look closely at their menu and notice that there is no description of how their proteins are cooked. EVERYTHING IS FRIED, everything! My wife ordered Teriyaki Beef. Fried and breaded beef that was like jerky. I had the Pad Thai with tofu. The tofu was breaded and fried and stuck together in one big clump. Nothing but overpriced, poorly cooked corporate crap. Oh, and 2 entrees and one beer was close to $80 with a tip. There are way better Chinese restaurants around and little privately owned take out joints where you'll get a better meal. The food was truly awful. I was shocked. We usually love PF Changs, but this was really really bad. There was no one around & we had to wait forever to sit down, and same thing for paying the bill. The chicken lettuce wraps which we usually LOVE were greasy and just tasted burned and like they didn't clean the grill. The fried rice wasn't fantastic and also had a weird taste to it again as if the grill wasn't clean. The soup was not hot when we got it and sadly ALL 4 fortune cookies were stale. The prices were very high and the changing of the menu was not good they made their menus smaller. Not very much to choose from. Good food and the Mongolian beef was really good but I would stay away from the broccoli mine was kind of soggy and kind a hard and by the way they give you the whole head of the broccoli . Came here with my daughter today as we were both up for some Asian food. The place is very spacious inside that is Asian themed with a modern twist. They also have a large bar area offering wine, cocktail and beer and sushi is offered at this location. We were quickly greeted and sat right away. Kevin introduced himself as our server, friendly and very attentive! We started off with the Chang's Northern Style Spare Ribs appetizer then my daughter ordered her favorite kids Chicken Fried Rice no veggies or greens and I opted for the Orange Chicken. Food came out quickly and hot, but I didn't care for the flavor of the Orange Chicken and , Kevin immediately took care of it. I replaced it with the Chicken Lo Mein which was amazing! My daughter was super please with her dish and ate it all. Management was quick to come over and make sure we were taken care of. She was very nice and appreciated the prompt and quick response! Ordered spare ribs as appetizer....they were cold, greasy and fatty. Awful. Drinks were like drinking water...asked for a second drink stronger with less tonic....tasted same as first for $10 a drink. Portions were half the size from last year. Silverware was filthy...had to return it twice....caked on old food. What a horribly bad experience. Disgusting!!!! PS. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful relaxed lunch at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were perfect. We had the potstickers as well as the lettuce wrap appetizers. We had won ton soup which was loaded with chicken and shrimp and for entrees we had the Crispy Honey Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Pricing is in line with other mid to upscale restaurants in this area. The best part was our server, Sanjay! He was polite and attentive and he properly paced the meal for us, never bringing out a course until we were done with the previous course. Whoever is cooking is not doing their job and the person that packages your order must be on vacation. They don't listen when we place our order. Eating in the restaurant is ok but dark. Sometimes you wonder where your server disappeared to. They are like other restaurants that want to take your order for drinks when you haven't even opened the menu. I went out to P.F. Chang's and had one of the worst experiences ever eating out. It was not busy at all and my food took forever to come and not the best service! They offered a special menu saying $20 special for soup, appetizer and entrée, I ordered it and when I got the bill, it was $64 they had charged me for the edamame that was nine dollars and the house salad which I thought was included with the three choices I got from the menu. I then question the server why is it so much? He then blames it on the computer, a manager comes over asking what questions we have about the prices and I explained to him what I had ordered, he claims that two people need to order this in order for the special to occur... Which the server never explained wouldn't you think if I was ordering it he would've told me that I needed a second person to get the special?? And the manager never took it off of the bill... so I ended up having to pay the 64$ plus tip. This place has gone downhill so much will not be returning. I could've got a nice filet mignon steak for this price. read more
