I've been getting breakfast tacos here since they opened. Despite not having fresh/homemade tortillas, the food isn't bad. Nothing worth getting excited over...just good and consistent. I would say the standout would be the green hot sauce! So why only 2 stars? Well, every time I phone in an order, the phone is never answered. There are days where it's more convenient to call ahead and just show up and pick up the order and/or don't have to wait. One time I tried calling for 30 minutes and finally just went over there. The owner was behind the counter talking to someone at one of the tables, and was simply ignoring the ringing phone. I let her know I had been calling and her response was "this isn't a call center and I'm tired of people who keep calling over and over!" Again, the food is consistently decent and always seems to fill the breakfast taco void. You'd think a business owner would be more inclined to increase their sales by simply answering a phone. read more

I've been in Pflugerville for 6 years and just now discovered this place. I feel like I've been led astray by everyone I know in Texas. How did they all keep this from me? I will never need a breakfast taco from anywhere else, so long as I have access to Pflugerville Taco House. This place is a little hidden gem! We're new to Texas and love Mexican food. My wife and I were in Pflugerville foR something, can't remember what the hell for, but she found this place on yelp and wanted to try it. It looks like a house! It's small inside so sitting down is tough. We ended up getting ours and sitting outside at the picnic tables outside. We both ordered Pfeugo burritos. This place just opened up in downtown Pville, they are having growing pains but they are pretty open with what is being wacky at the moment. They didn't get their deep fryer in and when they try to brew tea the whole place shorts out...it is something with the wiring. So they are trying, give them a shot and be patient. I got the barbacoa which was cooked well, just little bland but they provide a really yummy green sauce to go with it. Tacos are store bought which is no biggie, but I wish they went with a better quality store bought. We also got the al pastor with pineapple, AH-MAZ-ING! The carne guisada was also very tasty and messy. I got one of their speciality tacos, I don't remember the name (they are all clever and named for local places) might have been Wells Branch but it was chicken fajitas with what was supposed to be deep fried avocado...I just got the fresh avocado since deep fryer wasn't there yet and quite liked it. Small place, not much seating available, more of a "to-go" type of place than "bring everyone and sit down for a meal" which is fine, because Monday-Friday I am a "to-go" type of customer. Breakfast tacos and green salsa are really good, BUT... they rarely answer their phone, so I am rarely able to get breakfast here. When they do answer, it's hard to understand because they sound really RUSHED and STRESSED. "Toss!!" = "Taco House!" "Hmm??" = "And your name?" So I find myself usually saying "I'm sorry, say that again?" or giving the wrong answer, because I'm guessing what their question was. If you happen to get the older lady, you know she doesn't want to be there or be bothered with you or your breakfast needs. I am all for supporting local business, and if you happen to get your call answered, then God has smiled down on you. I will continue to try occasionally, but won't hold my breath. read more

The green sauce sooo amazing. Decent size carne guisada I got one without cheese and one with I had to make sure it was actually flavorful because most places trick you by overpowering the taco with cheese so you really don't know what the meat tastes like. I felt the need to update my review... I eat here once a week. Usually it's Tuesday, and although that seems like a very typical thing, there is nothing typical about my tacos from this place. It's hard to not hit a taco place with a rock in this area, and for the most part they are all acceptable places to eat. However, this place gives me the homemade, abualita feels. So, the Tortillas may not be homemade, meh. The tacos are stuffed to the gills, the prices are super reasonable, and unlike other people, I'm not expecting a religious experience every time I bite into a Taco. Definitely my favorite joint in Pflugerville, Texas. There are a few reasons why. Let's get to the review. Atmosphere - 4/5. Very comfortable spot and location. Outside: Gas is up the block, benches are outside if you wanted to eat, and easy to find parking. Inside: Small space with several tables inside. I wished it was slightly bigger because private conversations are easily heard across the room. A major plus is that this family owned spot supports the military and officers with military and police themed artwork hanging around the walls. I appreciate any place that can show their values through the decor. Great atmosphere all in all. I feel at home here. Food - 5/5. Easily one of the best taco spots I've had ever. Been here numerous tines and it is hard to find amazing tacos that are consistently good. These guys have such a big mix of different combinations for their tacos alone. Another great thing is that each of their taco selections are amazing, just bursting with absolute flavor and meat tenderness with fresh ingredients. There is nothing fancy about the tacos in terms of having those "elegant" foodie items like truffles or Kobe beef in the dishes but I can ensure you that their tacos, in my opinion, are better. Simple is better and these guys stick to what works. Service - 5/5. Everyone is just so kind and accommodating. They take pride in keeping their location clean and they actually speak to their patrons. I can appreciate that. One of the best services I've had for a restaurant ever. That is saying PLENTY. We decided to venture out to a local taco house for coffee and tacos. This is the definition of a small breakfast spot - 5 tables total and a line out the door. Expect to take your tacos to go unless you are patient enough to land a table (we got lucky and did). Coffee is self-serve and only $1.50 but its basic blend. Even though they were busy our food came out in 10 minutes. Everything tasted great but if I had to compare their Migas to other places, it could use a bit more spices. We also ordered Barbacoa.....it didn't include any Pico so that's a recommendation to the owners. This place is awesome and I can't believe it took me so long to find it. Oh my, is the location tiny! In addition to it being small, they also have tables so people can eat there, so if you get food to go you are standing in the way, there isn't really anyway to get around it. My husband and I have only had breakfast, so I can't speak to their other dishes. The breakfast tacos are amazing, would recommend over burrito personally. DELICIOUS!!!! It's a super cute, tiny, and cozy spot Downtown. I've definitely missed it multiple times passing through, but not does this tiny spot spot pack a big punch. I have no pictures because I devoured all my tacos as soon as I got them home. They were tasted amazing. I got chicharron, barbacoa, and the Springhill. No complaints! Today I decided to try Pflugerville Taco House for the first time. My experience was pleasant except they got my order wrong. I live kinda far so going back to have them correct it wasn't an option for me. I was a bit disappointing to eat egg when I don't like eggs. Hopefully they're careful in the future when taking orders. Update: the wonderful owner Jamie was quick to correct an honest error and I made the trip back to her restaurant.
