So I am on vacation and I was dreading trying to get lower salt food. First night I don't feel like trying to shop then cook immediately. Shouldn't have worried. This place definitely embraces balance while being acid forward, but more importantly to the average person looking for a culinary experience, this place serves art on a plate. It also has a wonderful ambience for those who want a warm let's just enjoy an uncounted string of moments vibe. I was attended to by multiple service staff, all incredibly helpful and friendly. The chef comes out to describe plates. This kind of experience I expect to hit $100+ dollars without alcohol purchases, not around $60 to $70 per person. They frequently seasonally adjust the menu, which is why I am not mentioning particular dishes. They also like local sourcing. So coming here every few months can be an adventure! read more

My experience at Pharm Table was incredible! On a quick trip to San Antonio, I had dinner here and immediately noticed the inviting patio covered in string lights. The inside was dim and welcoming with an atmosphere I'd describe as rustic. We were the only ones in the restaurant so there was plenty of seats, but it did fill up as the night went on so I'd recommend reservations. Perfect for a date night or a small, intimate get-together. Our waitress was a sweetheart! Top notch service and was very attentive throughout our dinner. She started us off with a complimentary amuse-bouche to cleanse our palate. Strong citrus and ginger flavor was right up our alley so we had high hopes for the rest of our meal. We had both the raw and baked oysters and both were phenomenal. The raspberry mignonette really elevated the freshness of the raw oysters, bringing in a harmony of sweet and briney. The Rockefeller with the cashew sauce and lemon was savory with good texture. The Peruvian ceviche featured watermelon radish, sesame oil, and a swipe of sweet potato puree that added a nice sweetness against the fatty salmon, which balanced well with the overall acidity of the dish. The lion's mane lomo saltado was cooked to resemble meat. The flavor was very well balanced with the tamari and the potato and collard greens provided a good crunch. The sauce of the panang fish curry was creamy with a small kick. There were coconut flakes on top, which added another layer of flavor. I do wish there were more vegetables for a crunch, but overall really enjoyed this dish. Satisfied with our entrees, we had to try dessert and went with the sweet potato brownie with mesquite bean sorbet. This one was a nice surprise. The sweet potato hits on the first bite, but melts beautifully once it settles in your mouth. It paired well with the earthy, nutty, vanilla tones of mesquite bean. Highly recommend! And because we still had to drive back to Austin, we had their mesquite bean coffee and I will say it was one of the top five coffees I've ever had! Similar to the sorbet, it was nutty and earthy with hints of vanilla and chocolate in oat milk. Not too sweet, not too rich, very creamy. So good! This restaurant specializes in meals that promote gut health so I appreciate how well thought out their menu was. There is a paid parking lot, but they validate for a free 90 mins. This is a really nice place from the ambiance to the service and least not the food. I came to try out their brunch menu. I ordered a glass of pomegranate mimosa and the berry pancakes. The berry pancakes were extra healthy such as dairy free and gluten free. Not heavy on the syrup but more so on the fruit. They were pretty thin and came as a petite 3 stack but loaded with flavors. A friend ordered the sweet potato waffles for the table and they were also packed with flavor and really really pretty. Very picturesque. Our waitress was very helpful. She went over the menu, answered various specific questions, and was very attentive. Prior to coming I looked online to make reservations which costs $5/person so I decided to take my chances as someone from our group is always dropping off last minute. I've dined at Pharm Table a few times before but this was the first negative experience I've had. To start, the waitress asked if we had been there before and when we said yes but not for brunch she replied, "sooo do you want me to go over the menu or....what". It was a little off putting. We ordered a few things, starting with the kitchari and some drinks. We were taking our time and she waited over my girlfriend and rushed her to finish it so she could take the plate. Then our Antojitos board came out. Right off the bat the food felt off. It was missing a lot to me. That's when I realized we had only received the tacos and none of the additionals that came with it. She asked if we wanted salsa and I said yes and she brought out one, the basic salsa. When I inquired further because the menu said it came with 3 she said, "I'm pretty sure we're out but I'll ask". Mind you it's noon and brunch still had a few hours to go. She came back with the salsas and crudite that I forgot ALSO came with the dish. Her response was "oh this came with it too I guess". No apologies, in fact she felt annoyed we asked and annoyed she had to get it. I was grateful we at least received those in the end even though we had waited for a while at this point because they genuinely made the dish complete. The salsa with the pepitos was phenomenal. She avoided us until we finished. What put a sour taste in my mouth and ruined the experience however was when we checked out. 20% gratuity was added to the check which I am totally fine with, however when I paid the bill I told her to keep the additional change (which added an extra 5-10% tip to her) and her response as she kept walking away was "ok." I don't need to be catered to non stop and kissed up to think service is great but the waitress felt so off put for some reason servicing us that it ruined our brunch experience. read more

I got the Lions Mane Lomo Saltado and Masala Mushroom. Both were very flavorful and a very thoughtful menu option for vegetarian eaters! I only wish that the Lions mane used in both brought in a different texture, because overall it was a little mushy. Our server seemed to kind of neglect us for some reason. We saw him giving lots of attention to other tables around us but would intentionally walk right by us. We had brunch here this morning. There is a parking lot right in front and the restaurant validates parking up to 90 minutes. The restaurant is very chic inside and has a nice outdoor patio. The menu is gluten and dairy free with locally sourced ingredients. Service was pleasant and efficient. For drinks, the mesquite cold brew and ginger lemon tea were very good. Our food came out in a good amount of time. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted fine, however the price including tax, tip and additional service fee for the kitchen doesn't make me eager to return. I had been to this restaurant before when it was at their first location. I'm happy to see that they have grown and their menu has expanded too. All their food is not only healthy, but also scrumptious. Their drinks are interesting. The presentation is superb. Lots of color in all the dishes You must start with the Israeli style hummus and vegetables. It's kind of weird it comes with corn tortillas. A pita or some kind of bread would have been better, but you can definitely use the veggies as a scoop. The hummus is smooth and creamy. The cilantro coconut guacamole was also pretty good. The serving size was good to share with four people. It also came with corn tortillas. For the main dish, we ordered a few. Our favorite was a toss up between the detoxing kitchari and the Thai zucchini noodle salad. Both were delicious. For the detoxing kitchari, we ordered it with the sweet potato rice. That was something we had not had before. It was interesting, but complemented the dish well. Of course, we had to try the sweet potato waffles since we were brunching. They were sweet enough on their own. No syrup needed. Ok so the drinks. Some were good and some were too much. I think the most popular is the Sanger Verde, but the smoked taste to it was just to overpowering. My favorite was the full moon party. It does have cilantro. They have a nice patio and some tables inside. Do make a reservation. They don't sit your party until everyone is present. Parking is available on site, but for a fee.
