Food was tasty. There just wasn't enough provided for the money. People are nice and deserve your business - at least once!

A friend recommended Phase Three when I was looking for places to take my dad out on his birthday. The food and drink are good but the service was lacking. I'm not a fan of their wait list system for dine in. Regardless, I put my name on their list in the hopes of getting seated promptly. When it came time for the app to let us know our table was ready, it appeared they were not ready for us upon arrival as we were held back an additional 20 minutes prior to seating. There were three empty tables in the first 10 minutes of waiting which was irritating. I don't understand why it would take this long to get settled in. We got a booth for 4 and ordered drinks. My husband ordered the Double Strawberry Chantilly draft and I got their Old Fashioned. Their food and drinks were fantastic and we enjoyed them a lot. The BBQ wing appetizer was the best dish we had. Big meaty wings full of flavor with good sauce. Almost all dishes were solid however my Beef Sisig would've been better had the meat not been overcooked. We would return in the summer. My wife and I have come to this location several times. We love that they have a back patio with lots of shade; perfect for hot summer days. We always see lots of families with small children. There is parking in the rear and street parking out front. As far as service, I find that our servers always do a great job of returning about midway through our drinks and we don't have to wait long to order, even when they are on the busier side. The restaurant does a good job of rotating some entrees, so there is always something new to try. The latest trip we had the burger of the month (jalapeño, steak, and goat cheese burger) and the Baja fish tacos. I don't think we've had a bad dish or bad beer. Their beer is some of the best in the area if you are in to hazy IPAs or sours. I can't speak to the other styles at we typically stick to those styles. Stopped for a drink while in the area and we sat at the long bar at the windows because the main bar area was full and we didn't want to take up a table since we weren't planning on eating. Only two gluten free ciders to choose for me but plenty of interesting beers if you drink them. Service was almost annoyingly prompt and the server immediately came back after we asked her to give us a minute. When we were ready to pay and leave she was nowhere to be found. We were fortunate to get seated right away on a night when most restaurants were busy. The space was inviting, but it was freezing inside. I have not been drinking, so I tried their non-alcoholic Oktoberfest. It was fantastic, and I wanted to get a four-pack to go, but I was informed that its availability was a misprint. I liked that there was a play on Asian food on the menu. I tried the Tocino Banh Mi, and it was delicious. The regular fries were average. My wife and son both had the OG burger. Neither were too impressed with it. They also upgraded their fries to honey butter fries. They were good, but the sweet and sour chili sauce served with them did not complement them. A brand new location for Phase 3 Brewing. The Taproom and Kitchen feels more like a restaurant than a brewery. Limited seating so it does fill up quickly. The kitchen serves up appetizers,hand helds,smash burgers,salads as well as big plates. Prices seemed a little high. Their beer is the real gem. Heavy in the IPAs, they do offer a nice selection of sours ,ales and stouts. They do not offer flights but they do offer a 5,10 or 16oz pours I tried their Bonfire Feels which is a Red Ale 6.8 abv which was a nice balance of malt and hops. Next up was A Bushel of Apples 6 abv Golden Ale which was described as a peanut caramel apple but in my opinion,a little too heavy on the peanut. My favorite was their Frog Stack 4.5 abv Sour Fruited Gose. Fruits were strawberry,rhubarb with a hint of marshmallow which makes it smooth and creamy. I even bought a 4 pack to bring home ($19.00) They do have an outdoor beer garden which would be fun with warm weather and make the inside less crowded. This has been on our list to try since they opened this location and while we were in the area we stopped in for drinks and a late lunch. We walked in and was surprised how large it was. The bar is long and nicely designed and there are several tables inside , out and there is a private space in the back. Food: We had the garlicky cheese curds- the portion was good, but they had too much garlic for me, but my husband enjoyed them. They were lightly battered and came with a spicy sauce for dipping. I had the chopped salad and it was very good. All of the ingredients were fresh . The white balsamic vinaigrette was served on the side, and was light and tasty. The cucumbers were sliced in thin spear shapes . The crispy noodles sprinkled on top provided a bit of crunchiness. The presentation was great ! My husband had the classic smash burger with a side of fries . The burger was good, but not a standout. It was juicy/greasy. My husband created his own flight, and tried the bushels of apples, pressed marshmallow ($8.50 for 5 0z), cherry apple ale and clipping in. I had the lemonade selzer, which I really enjoyed refreshing, but not sour or tart. Service was excellent ! Everything was good, but food prices and some of the beers are a bit pricey . read more

My husband loves breweries, I love good food, and this place is the perfect marriage of both. They have seating options for bigger families and couples. Our group of five was seated comfortably at a table with plenty of space to spread out. We started with the garlic cheese curds and lumpia. The cheese curds were good but the dipping sauce was a bit too tangy for my taste. The lumpia was legit and I held back from ordering a second round because I couldn't wait to try the rest of the menu. We ordered burgers, chicken sandwiches, and and apple pie lumpia for dessert. Phase Three has opened a new taproom + kitchen in downtown Elmhurst! While I have visited their location in Lake Zurich many of times, this new space takes their business to another level. The inside is modern and beautifully designed. I loved the feature bar wall arches and simple tap design. The space has murals from local artists featured. The back has more of a private dining space that opens to a back patio via glass garage doors. The menu is not large but has a good variety of small bites and entrees to split or take on solo. We tried a few of the appetizers and were impressed by the flavors, portions, and value. Their drink menu had the standard offering of phase three beers and lulz seltzers. What was an unexpected add was the (2) featured drinks they did a collaboration with Standard Meadery. Phase Three knows how to produce great products solo but is also very successful in their collaboration partnerships. The Harbor Light was delicious! When we visited, it was the first Saturday being open and restaurant operations already felt to be organized. Our server was on top of checking in, turned food and drinks around quickly, was very knowledgeable of the menu/offerings. We had a great overall experience and already know we will be back to trip more food and new drinks! read more

Much like the first Phase Three taproom, this place has similar singature friendly service and, of course, great brews and seltzers. However, there's an added bonus of creative, tasty, and even Filipino inspired dishes in Elmhurst. Parking and wait times are likely the only challenges coming to this P3 location on a busy weekend night. The lumpia is crisp, hot, and filled with traditional flavor and served in an impressive presentation. And while the Arroz Caldo was not what I was used to growing-up with, it's a beautiful dish with much flavor and flair. If you are used to a thick, porridge-like soup with chicken pieces, this isn't what you think it is, so use your more imaginative taste buds and enjoy a lighter version. The staff here is great. Came here during their soft opening at the end of August. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was good, mix of American classics and Filipino inspired items. A tad on the expensive side for the portions. Their beer is great and worth a trip alone even without food. The restaurant is beautifully done and has a wonderful ambiance plus the patio is a nice touch for the summer months. Parking is available on the street or in the lot behind the restaurant. Recommended to try from my sister in law. We were already interested when she said that it was a brewery AND they also had unique Filipino food dishes. We walked right in after they opened one weekend and the place filled up quickly as we were deciding what to get. A good sign that they're popular...but that didn't take away from the great service we received too. Loved the ambiance and the good vibes we got as soon as we sat down. There were so many things I wanted to try! I was debating between the Pinoy Poke Bowl and the Ahi Tuna Sando. After re-reading the descriptions, the poached shrimp was something I didn't love in the poke bowl. That and knowing my experience with poke bowls, most places in Illinois don't get it right with the flavor (the fish is never marinated enough like they do in Hawaii) so I opted for the sando. We ended up getting: Pork Lumpia - These are pretty authentic. The filling was seasoned well and the outside perfectly cripsy. It was a light and delicious appetizer. Bistek Don - Hubby was devouring this and didn't even want to talk to me while eating. I had a tiny bite when he offered me a taste and it reminds me of his parent's cooking - very homey. I really liked the thinness of this type of steak they used too. The only complaints; we couldn't really taste the garlic fried rice as everything else was flavorful enough and the shoyu marinated egg was a bit too salty. Ahi Tuna Sando - This reminds me of a lobster roll, but instead of lobster the filling is ahi tuna. As much as I love lobster...I also love raw ahi tuna! Especially when it's fresh and there's none of that chewy tendon. They don't skimp on the fish either. This might be their best handheld sandwich on the menu. I would reorder this! Hubby also tried one of the beers and he liked how light it was for a morning drink. He wants to share this place with his buddies. It's definitely a good place to hang out at. I'm not sure if they have different menus every season as I do notice past reviews talk about things I did not see? Great location and vibe! Awesome selection of beers and did not disappoint BUT I was really hoping the Filipino food would be good since there isn't much out there in the suburbs. Definitely props for creativity and representation but flavor profiles were off and just not hitting it. We sampled all of the dishes too. Ube pandesal was good! Give me more! Lumpia standard and okay. Tocino melt not great not sure if it was just too much going on or too little but just didn't hit The pancit over salted and different in a not good way. The pork belly was good! Presentation of everything was a great vibe of the place and we recommended it to our friends to try and bought gift cards to give out and took home some awesome beers! Amazing beer! Great food! Attentive servers! I have always enjoyed the beers and food truck foods at the Lake Zurich location, so I was really excited to try this location! Wow! I was blown away by the quality of the food, drinks, and service! I got their Hawaiian burger on their specials menu. It was really tasty! Also, I loved how they decorated their restaurant! For food, they have one of the best dishes I've had all year. Perfectly balanced and seasoned-- you can't help but go back for more and more bites of it. My wife has a personal goal of going to every new restaurant that opens in Elmhurst. It took a little while but we finally made it to Phase Three. We both had burgers. I had the Umami and asked the waiter if I could get it with extra blue cheese - no problem. After the order was delivered, the cook/chef came by and asked if I had enough blue cheese and whether I would like any more. I was immediately impressed. There was more than enough blue cheese on the burger and it was one of the best I've had in town so far. I'm pretty sure we'll be back, in part because they have some things on the menu that we've never seen before, so would definitely want to try some of them. read more

We were lucky enough to visit p3 elmhurst a week before public opening and first thing I have to say is they did an amazing job all around putting this location together. They definitely went for the "brewery kitchen" feel over brewery taproom. Meaning the space feels more entertaining and less sterile. The finishes and tap handle system are all beautiful. There is ample amount of space inside as well as a front and back patio. The artwork inside looks great and matches the P3 aesthetic while elevating it to a higher level. This feels like a upper middle restaurant. The menu for the Summer '23 open was diverse and somewhat extensive. They have a variety of options and no this is not typical pub fare. There are a good amount of Pilipino dishes on the menu that range from appetizers to entrees and deserts. I was able to try the Spring Rd. "handheld", which is a variation on the maxwell street polish but swapped out to two smaller longanisa sausages + add a fried egg on top of the normal peppers and onions. This was excellent. The bun was fresh and delicious and the longanisa was hearty while also having sweet notes to it. I do wish the pieces of meat were a bit bigger but still a great dish. My wife had the Spicy Burger and enjoyed it, although a bit pricey at $18. The burgers are done smash burger style with two patties. To finish we ordered the Halo Halo desert. It is hard to describe but I would highly recommend trying as it is a flavor explosion and treat for the senses. Fruits and jellies lined the bottom of the class and it was topped with ice cream and finely shaved ice. Super delicious while not being too sweet for a dessert. The beer list was extensive and had plenty of variety - lagers poured from a LUKR handle, cask beers, sours, IPAs, stouts and more. I'd say somewhere around 20ish beers on draft, as well as some cool cocktails and seltzers. I'd highly recommend this location for fans of P3 and even those who aren't fans of beer, as the menu had some great items that any foodie would appreciate. This location is a lot closer to us versus their original one up in lake Zurich. The inside is beautiful with a lot of natural light. Have only tried a few things from their menu: the banh mi is my husband's go to but to me the pork resembles the beef jerky from Aldi and was overcooked. I ordered the turkey sandwich which seemed like the kitchen was quite stingy on the jam and aioli that came on it making it very dry. The hot honey butter fries are amazing and I hope they stay on the menu. Staff is friendly and attentive. I like their option of their seltzers and the "cocktails" they created with them since I'm not the biggest beer drinker. I do wish they had liquor options so hopefully in the future they will incorporate it to their bar. read more

Great brewpub that just opened earlier this year. Normally you'd have to go all the way up to Lake Zurich to visit Phase Three, but now thankfully they've opened up one way closer to the city. And a great location at that. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a big parking lot, and a ton of beers on tap and 2go. Each of the 3 times I've gone, there's been plenty of new stuff on tap to try. For food, I've only had the cheese curds, which were very good, but everything I've seen looks good. I know it's Korean style. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I try to stop here every time I find myself in the Western burbs and I haven't been disappointed yet. read more

The place was popping when we got there. The parking lot was full, and the wait for a table was over 30 minutes. We were able to get some drinks while we waited to be seated though. The main space in the front of the taproom was quite loud, which made it difficult to hold a conversation. The outdoor areas may have had a better atmosphere. The drinks were quite good. I highly recommend the R & R and Frog Stack. They are a bit on the sweeter side but great for Summer. The double nectar was true to its name with a balance of floral and sweet and sour flavors. The Bushel of Apples had a caramel popcorn flavor to it which was nice. The Proper Trollied was good, but I thought it was served a bit on the cold side for a cask pulled mild ale. The flavors were muted a bit because of it. The Oktoberfest had a clean, smooth texture to it. The Lumpias were quite good, and I would recommend them. The Beef Sisig was solid, though I thought it would have benefitted from extra spice or hot sauce. The service was reasonably good given how busy the place was. Bought take out 4 packs. Outdoor ambience is a parking lot. Biggest disappointment the server doesn't allow *first and only* taster of a beer without pressure to buy a few 5 oz samplers. I'm not going to run through 6 tasters, etc... not even 2! So, I'd rather taste ounce of 1 new one before buying $9 pint of it or falling back on one I've had. Between a beer and food already spending $30+. Shame it's turned a corner from a brewer haven that introduces their craft and sharing their greatness into an upsell at all costs enterprise. read more

The food was great! The burgers are tasty and our server, Madi (first four letters), pointed us in the direction of the lumpia, apparently a staple for good reason, and the pretzels for appetizers. Then, while we were torn over our entree decisions, she walked us through her favorites in each category, which made deciding so much easier and it felt like the staff really knew the menu. One of our group started at the bar before joining a table and was helped by a girl with red hair who was very knowledgeable on the beers and our friend said she was very welcoming! They have a to go cooler full of their beer. Some of their offerings go very quickly so our server suggested to follow Phase Three on socials to catch the word about the latest "drops" as far as their beer goes. It is cute inside. I liked how they decorated it. I wasn't a fan that you had to check in at the back of the restaurant. The seats and tables are very cute but very uncomfortable to seat on. Our server was nice and polite, but the person that dropped our food off was not friendly at all.
