OMG soooo delicious! Cambodian food is sooo underrated, probably because Vietnamese food kinda overshadows them a bit with their similar pho dish. But let me tell y'all! The Cambodian Pho (Kuytiew--I think that's how you pronounce and spell it) is like 10x better than Vietnamese pho! My husband is Vietnamese and loves his pho and even he agrees that Kuytiew is better! It's our first time trying it and at such an authentic Cambodian mom and pop shop and it's soooooo delicious, so much more flavor than pho, better toppings than pho, and they even make their chili oil in-house! They do spicy and non spicy for any Kuytiew dish. Excellent customer service, super friendly and make you feel at home and like family. The chicken in the Kuytiew my sons shared (1 yr old & 5 yr old) was a great portion for them and the chicken is so much more well prepared than Vietnamese pho. In Kuytiew, it's nice slivers and tasty. In pho, it is sooooo dry and honestly pretty inedible. It is located in Compton but seriously, calling out Carson heads, Long Beach heads, Torrance heads, Cerritos heads, etc...trust, the food, the service and even the ambiance is worth it and it's right across the police station and courthouse for reference. read more

I grew up with homemade pho from my mom. I also make it myself and my friends rave about it! If I say this place is good, trust me it is! I've gone to this place multiple times and it never fails me! It's a cute little place, very cozy atmosphere. Customer service is amazing, very friendly staffs. Sometimes you get to meet the cook, very nice guy! Every time I go, I would order different things but always fail to take a picture. My favorite on the menu is their Phnom Penh noodles. You can either have it wet or dry. I love it both ways! Their seafood pho is also delicious! Their broth is on point. I finally remember to take a picture of my vegetarian pho, which I added chicken and shrimp. Omg! This place has amazing food, Super friendly staff and the cutest little busboy ever. I've come here three times and everytime I leave super full and super happy. The pho is amazing. I get the beef brisket and let me just tell you....I'm in LOVE. The broth burst in your mouth with rich traces of garlic, ginger, spices and goodness. Brisket is soft. Noodlesare perfectly cooked, toppings are always super fresh. The owners are always there and their son helps clean tables and set table settings. All very friendly and the restaurant is super clean. COME TO THIS PLACE! I drove around like a crazy person waiting for the opening and I was super not disappointed! We need more asian authentic food places in this community and I love pho! It is dine in restaurant, which I think is the best way to enjoy pho with all the condiments/veggies spread out, but I had to order mine "to go" in containers. I got the Veggie Noodle Soup and lord the broth was delicious and flavorful. It's like that type of pho that you don't feel the need to put anything else in there because its already good on its own. Perfect for the weather! The employees were really friendly and I'm thankful for finally having a decent place to eat A+ Pho without having to drive all the way to Gardena. Let me start off by saying this review is long overdue, i've been meaning to praise this great family owned spot! Highly recommend it, not only do you get great service but amazing food at a good price. I came specifically for the vegan dry noodles (which simply means that they don't cook it in animal broth), my sister talked so much about this dish that it was time for me to try it myself. The owner is very communicative about the ingredients, which I love. As my sister and I placed our order we mentioned to the owner that all they were missing was a vegan thai tea (we went on and had a lengthy conversation with him about the milk alternatives that would make it creamy or watery, he was very attentive) the next thing you know the vegan thai tea was actually up on their menu (be sure to ask for no boba, it does contain honey, well, last I checked). I'm not a huge fan of pho, but this place was different. The pho I've had in the past was bland and watery, but this place (even without hot sauce and oyster sauce), the broth was very flavourful. Service is great - I think it's a small family business as they have their son helping out with the register. He's friendly and personable; great to see someone so young help out and learn the business. We ordered 'take out' and it was done within 10 minutes. Hm...I waited until I'd been here twice to write a review. I've tried the dry noodles #1 and the #2 combo. Both times the ingredients were on the slim side. I literally counted ONE shrimp in my #1 combo. It's possible that since they've gotten popular they've started to skimp on the ingredients. That's a shame. The thing that BRINGS the customers is the thing that KEEPS the customers I see this a lot with business on Yelp. They get great reviews then stop doing the thing that got the great reviews. The flavors were there - - I just didn't order noodles and broth so I expected some heartiness to my pho. The man here gets easily annoyed with customer asks so tread lightly around him. For example: I have my water after I eat...no big deal, right? Well, hold your hats HaHa Before I got to the door the saran wrap top on my to-go cup popped and my feet got drenched. I went back to the counter for a replacement top and he explained the cover the other server put on isn't meant for the cup she gave me and that they don't have lids for the to-go cups. Huh? Why? It's TO-GO(?) How far can I GO with an open cup of liquid? Well alright.... I asked if he could pour some of the water out so I wasn't sloshing liquid everywhere as I walk and this guy HUFFED, PUFFED, and luckily there was no house for him to blow down I never understand people getting uptight over v basic customer asks. Why would you have to go cups with no lids? Why would you THEN get annoyed when asked to pour out some of the liquid in an attempt to function around YOUR poor planning? Nothing makes sense. Absolutely amazing noodles. Such an interesting place in the cpt. I've been working in Compton since 96. And typically, I'd run off to Gardena or anywhere else for lunch. Compton didn't have much to offer. We got a break when Friday's came in but it was still mediocre. I found Phat Noodles and was in heaven. I think I've scared them off by coming too many times in a week. Ahhaha the soup was life and is so perfect for any weather, especially the colder weather. Thank you guys! You rock. Came to try this place out w/ my friend first and last time ! Ordered chicken pho , Noodles where ok , but everything about this place was SKIMP & nothing special. Had to ask for the "extras" which came with a few pieces of bean sprouts & 2 pieces of lemon. We had to ask for chili and when we asked for more he charged my friend $2 for the mini container... we had to ask for chopsticks . He gave us ONE napkin. They don't serve water..
