WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH EMPLOYEE/MANAGER!!!!!!!!! PUTTING MY BABY AT RISK AND ON BOARD ON THIS DAMAGE VEHICLE THAT WAS PURCHASE AT THIS DEALER AND BROKE DOWN WITHIN A DAY OF PURCHASE, SMOKE COMING OUT OF HOOD!!! READ MY STORY TO AVOID THIS TYPE OF DEALERS. I had just purchase this 2012 Fisker Karma vehicle from Phillips Auto of Newport Beach Phone: 949-574-7777 and was help by (Niko)Sales person, per Niko all recalls where performed properly to this vehicle. 1st day of driving the vehicle out of dealer I notice Navigation system not working at all and within 40 miles I start refilling gas tank, it seem to be burning lots of gas for no reason on an EV Car and it continued doing the same pattern on my way to Sacramento by refilling entire tank constantly. The next day I try to charge the Vehicle and the charger had permanent Red Blinking Light, it did Not charge the vehicle. Phillips Dealer provided me with a "DAMAGE CHARGER" on a very expensive vehicle. Next I call Niko SELLS person at Phillips dealer and told him about the charger issue too, I hire an electrician thinking that my Just Remodel Home had issues with the Electrical Outlets, per electrician all my outlets are good, Electrician suggested that most likely the issue was the charger. In the morning after waking up the same next day of the purchase I try to start the vehicle and No luck, it did NOT start and Check Engine light was on. I call the dealer and Niko told me to follow a few steps to see if that will help to restart. NO LUCK. So Niko Markovich from Phillips Dealer advised me to call Alex at Elite Motors OC. He had done all repair orders on this Vehicle. I call Alex multiply times, per Alex advice to do a hard reset by disconnecting some wire hardness that is located under the hood on passenger side. This seem to work but check engine light was still ON, I mentioned this to Alex the mechanic and he suggested that most likely this light will go OFF in a few days after driving vehicle. I call Niko again and updated him with the situation and mentioned to him that most likely do to my schedule I will be taking the car on the next Friday the to SF at Pat's Garage to get inspected and see if they can advice or find the issue with the check engine light and charging issue. Vehicle was parked most of the time in my garage and the following day I decide to drive it and get my 4 year old Giovanni and nephew from school. At arrival I picked them up and just within seconds """SMOKE"""" start coming out under the Hood, this freak me out since I had my baby on the back of vehicle and turn off vehicle right away thinking the vehicle may burst in flames and got my son and nephew out of vehicle. We step away from vehicle and notice lots of Green fluid liquid coming out under vehicle too. I let about 20 minutes passed and open hood, I notice green fluid coming out from cover top of container by the front driver side. I call Niko again and he mentioned to take it to the shop in SF and keep him updated, he will talk to his manager Michael Alibrando and update him with my current situation. Once the vehicle was property diagnose by the technician at Pat's Garage in SF they provided me with the results and estimate to fixed this vehicle that I had just purchase from Phillips Auto with all types of problems. I talk to Nico/sells Manger at Phillips and they just kept ignoring me and not taking my calls once I send them the estimate for about $5K to fix this vehicle that I had just purchase from them. THEY STOP HAVING CONTACT WITH ME AND NOTHING WAS RESOLVED, I HAD TO PAY FOR ALL REPAIRS DONE AND PERFORMED TO THE JUST 1 DAY PURCHASE DAMAGE VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER. read more

I can't say enough positive things about my experience, truly. To give some context, I was considering a vehicle that was very much on the lower end from purely a price point perspective relative to the rest of their incredible inventory. I can attest that they treat their customers the same across the board and it's very apparent that running an ethical business is the foundation by which their impeccable reputation was founded. Theirs a lot of tech companies out there getting into the auto space trying to improve the buying experience. I can say unequivocally that there was no fancy app or technology needed for me to have a radically different (in the best of ways) experience in acquiring a new vehicle. Simply put, great people with the best interest in mind for their customers. I had the pleasure of working with several people throughout my buying experience including the owner, Malcolm who couldn't have been a nicer guy. I quickly saw why he's been so successful (owned dealership since 1984), he genuinely cares about his customers. Period. For Malcolm to spend the amount of time he did with me, again didn't matter I was shopping for a car well below their average price point really says a lot. Rich was helpful and friendly and was my initial sales guy, but just by the nature of the couple days I took to make my decision, he was off the next two days after my initial test drive so I then worked directly with the sales manager, Mike. Mike was exceptionally helpful and informative. We connected on several personal and professional fronts and couldn't have made the buying experience any better. No exaggeration, and I got financing, so even with that in mind, it still only took 30-40 minutes. No 2-3 hours like you'd get at almost all big dealerships. I can't overstate how much of a different and enjoyable experience this was. And worth noting, I also traded my old vehicle in and they were beyond accommodating. Amar (sorry if I misspelled that) was super helpful during my trade-in inspection, walking me through what he was looking for as he inspected different areas of my vehicle. Purchased a 2014 Toyota Tundra Limited with 23k miles on it in March 2024. Jerry was very nice and pleasant to deal with and sale was low pressure all the way. They are a CarMax trade in center so if you have a current trade in price from CarMax they will take that value in trade (obvious this could be good or bad depending on the value but for me was good). My vehicle was in great shape considering its age and mileage. A little dismayed that when I got it home and ran some codes on it that there were some that came up but when I took it to my local mechanic got it explained with no repairs needed and no issues since. Other issue was there was a large patch of paint peeling off roof that I found when I got home but hadn't checked before I bought it (couldn't see on top of tall truck roof but that's on me for not checking). Lastly wouldn't pay for the Cilajet paint coating they apply as mine has really done nothing in terms of paint protection that I notice since having it. Overall price was great for what I got and Jerry and crew were very nice and easy to work with niggles notwithstanding. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat if I was in the market for a vehicle! read more

I set an alert awhile back for specs on a specific Toyota Tundra. One came up that fit the bill perfectly for me (white, low miles, tasteful modifications/rims). Turned out it was 80 miles north at a "little no name dealer lot" and at first that worried me, we all hear horror stories about the corner lots with flashy cars sitting there. After contacting an acquaintance that used to work there (odd coincidence), I got connected to Niko, one of their top guys. Did some research on the company, they have been around a long time, great reputation, and the average car on their lot is an $80K+ Porsche/AMG/Lambo (and some $200k+ Bentley). So, you can't really muck it up with a pickup truck if you're used to transacting high-end vehicles. Took me a month to step up and negotiate to terms, but we got it done. Niko and Phillips Auto were professional the whole way. I hitched a ride up, took a quick test drive, and had paperwork done within 20 minutes, no hassle, no BS, no surprises (I did all my homework and paid cash, little margin for error). Mike the head Manager wrapped up the final title and DMV and tax papers swiftly and with candid friendly conversation. I felt no pressure once I was onsite and in their grasp. We got the deal done and everyone was happy. I can confidently recommend Phillips and state they are not "a little no name car lot" they are in fact a high-end automotive dealership with a great staff and superior vehicle products. These people are crooks. I bought my car from there a year ago and since I took it out of the dealership it's been falling apart. They covered up all the problems and did not disclose all the issues with the vehicle. They even stuck a sale sign on the window to cover up a scratch and when I pulled the paper they said it was the glue and with a wash it would go away. The manager is the worse of all he is super disrespectful l. Withough your authorization he will run your credit. He asked for my info and without my acknowledgement he pulled my gm refit and info. We worked with one of the newer salesman Nick as well as the longtime manager Theresa. Both Nick and Theresa have the perfect personalities for a successful car buying experience. They weren't pushy or loud and aggressive. We had gone a week ago to look at the car and when we said we would think it over and come back they accepting that answer. Today I saw a car advertised a nice Porsche advertised from Philips Auto in Newport Beach for $27,980. I responded to their automated chat where they collected my contact information and asked if I would like to come and see the car. When I got there, the price of the car had changed to $33,980. I confirmed with the salesman that the car was as advertised at $27,980 and he said , no it was a computer error. I gave him the look and said, you know that's called bait and switch? He said there I'd nothing he could do about it. I handed him back the key and walked away. I was approached by what I suspect was the sales manager and he asked if I liked the car? I said yes, everything except for the fact that the advertised price was not what they were selling it for and that is called bait and switch. He said ya, they bait and switch works pretty good huh?
