I had never had Cheese Steaks before coming to Philly Bilmo's. It they did not disappoint! Yummy!

I've never been to Philly so I can't compare, but I can say every sandwich I've had here has been very good. My fav is the Italian. Full of yummy ingredients. Service can be a bit slow, but worth the wait. read more

My husband and I came here for dinner, and we tried the Loaded Bilmo. We shared the 16"; it was plenty of food even without sides. DO NOT GO HERE! I lived in Phila for 5 years and never had such a lousy steak sandwich. Many of my friends and people I worked with just loved to take me to their favorite cheese steak place and Bilmos would come in behind each and every one of them. I am surprised that Philadelphia hasn't issued a cease and desist order for this place to stop using Philadelphia when it is associated with such a poor cheese steak sandwich. The meat was tough, the bun stale and the guy just didn't know how to use the spatula to pound the meat. There are way better steak shops in Portland. Don't waste your money. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years and absolutely love this place! First of all, their staff is always so awesome and makes us feel like old friends when we walk in the door. And the food.... All of the food is great. We usually opt for cheese steak sandwiches and hotdogs for the kids, but we've tried other items on the menu which were really good, too. Other highlights are beer in the beverage cooler, giant pickle on the menu, killer hot sauce selection, and there's always a game on the TV in the dining area. read more

I grew up just south of Philly and cheesesteaks are serious business there. So imagine our surprise when we found Philly Bilmos' delicious sandwich shop with the genuine article, and all the trimmings. Our son, who works at nearby IQ bank, suggested we check it out. From the Amoroso rolls, ladled on melted cheese, the Tastykakes sold on the side, to the absolutely on-target chocolate chip connoli! Other items such as YooHoo chocolate drink was available in the cooler. Only a Philadelphian would know these items. So if you want a taste of the real east coast without taking the trip, try Philly Bilmos! read more

I had a loaded philly cheeses steak and it was just about the worst cheeses steak I ever had. I'm from PA, about 60 miles North of Phila. They know how to make cheeses steak sandwiches. I've been going here since it opened. Yes, its a little bit more pricey than its competition, but you get what you pay for. I always get the traditional Bilmo and add mushrooms. There fries and soft drink selection is good too. The staff is even better. Super friendly, fast, and always knows my order without having to remind them! This is our go to choice for cheesesteak. I can't speak to how "authentic" it is, but I don't really care, it's tasty! Try the Loaded Bilmo- it's a cheesesteak with veggies, mushrooms and peppers. This is pretty much the best sandwich place I've ever been to. The "traditional" cheesesteak with beef is my favorite thing to eat here, and they also have cheesesteaks with more toppings like the Loaded, Bilmo, Loaded Bilmo and even a pizza cheesesteak with mozzarella and marinara sauce. They also have a couple other sandwiches here that I can't remember. Their mozzarella sticks are also the best I've ever had. Also, nearby is a pizza restaurant from the same owner called Pizza Bilmos that serves authentic New York style pizza. read more

Having lived in the Northeast part of the country for many years, I know good cheesesteaks. This particular shop I've visited four times now. Nothing to write home about, but not too bad. Their service has been a little slow each time I've visited, and I've never gone when there were tons of people around so I'm not sure what the wait is about. Best. Cheesesteak. Ever. The bread does not get soggy, the flavor is incredible! Every time go over the 205 bridge I stop for one. The ONLY downside is that there's not one in Portland! Get a whole sandwich..eat half while it's fresh n hot and stick the other half under the broiler to reheat when you're ready.. It browns the steak, and toasts the bread a touch. So I just did a review on Bruchis Cheesesteaks and Subs. I saw this restaurant pop up while I was surfing restaurants in Vancouver. I live on the West side so don't get over the East side much anymore so kind of finding new places to try again as East side seems to get most the new places popping up. So I thought I'd check out this Philly Cheesesteak place and compare. WOW. This is place has amazing authentic Philly style Cheesesteaks and Subs! I got the one with everything on it. I got a small 8 inch one with small fries and I could barley finish it. (Should of got the cheese on the fries!) :-) To me this place is a step up from Bruchis. I like Bruchi's still but this place to me is more East coast authentic and the quality is great. They use rolls sent in from Philly. The use quality meats from Boar Head. It's all cooked to order. You can tell the owner / cook who I assume is one in the same really cares about putting out an amazing sandwich. The girl at the register was friendly as well. I'd recommend this place. As of now.. this is the best cheesesteak place in SW Washington IMHO. I ended up grabbing an Italian cold sub with the works for lunch tomorrow. Will visit again when I'm back on that side of town! read more
