I've never had a philly cheesesteak before but this place was pretty good!! The sandwiches are a good size and honestly eating half the sandwich will probably make you full. I'd recommend the pizza and normal cheese steak options. The fries I could go without because they were pretty plain but this place is great! If you are looking to try a Philly Cheese steak, come here! The wait time is 5-10 minutes so they can make your order if you are ordering a sandwich. There is also no seating area so you have to stand to eat or eat your food elsewhere. Staff were very nice! Would recommend and go back here! Was craving cheesesteak for dinner and it was already close to 9pm. Found this place close to the hotel we were staying at and decided to give it a try since the other place we usually go to was already closed for the evening. Service was quick and this is a take out place.. food was ready within 10 minutes. Ordered cheesesteak w/ mayo, peppers, onions and mushrooms and cheese. This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine. Needless to say this place was on point. The service was fast and accurate and she read my order back to me to make sure it was correct. The flavor could have been a little heavier but still was cooked really well. There's never point were I come to Philadelphia and not get a Cheesesteak and neither should you. This place gets 5 stars for being exactly what it is - a legit hole in the wall serving up absolutely delicious food. My coworker and I wanted a quick takeout to take back to the hotel after a long day, and after a quick and brisk 10 minute walk we arrived at this place - no seating, ready to eat pizza up on the counter, and super quick service whipping up fresh cheesesteaks. I got a chicken cheesesteak with no bread, and all the fixings - lots of sweet and hot peppers and mushrooms too. Order came out - it had bread. Boo. I was sure I would not like it! I asked the person ringing if she was sure it was mine because I asked for no bread, and it became quite clear that that was a very odd request at this place and she wasn't quite sure what I was asking for. Took it back to the hotel preparing for a room service mean and no - it was fabulous. I just took a fork and ate it right off the bread. No big deal. And it was still tons of food. We saw the reviews were great and it didn't disappoint. I would say an even better if is to offer a carb or gluten free bowl option but hey, clearly I'm not the core customer so it might not be worth consideration. We stopped here on a whim after doing some sight seeing in the city on the way back to the hotel. It's a small store and there were about five young boys inside with backpacks clearly getting a bite to eat after school. The woman at the counter handled everything with grace and was kind and efficient. We shared a pizza slice and a side of curly fries. I came here late night as it was near my hotel and I didn't want to trek to one of the "famous" places to get a cheesesteak. This place surpassed my expectations. It is located on a corner near some bus stops and there is no room to eat in the interior, so every order is to-go. The menu is basic and there is a small beverage fridge behind the counter so you can point out what drink you want. I got a cheesesteak with just cheese whiz and onions. I was able to pick out a Snapple kiwi strawberry that was a blast form the past. They now come in plastic bottles. The food was ready in about 5 minutes and I was back to my hotel room enjoying no time. Took about 5 min to make, nice and quick. Took it back to the hotel to eat and wow was I impressed with this sandwich! The bread was a soft, fresh hoagie roll, the meat was tender and flavorful, the cheese was all melty and I got a great cheese pull when separating the two sandwich halves. I saw the other 2 reviews here for their cheese steak sandwich and I agree with them, it's tasty, rather light on the cheese and grilled onions. I ordered the sandwich and the cashier asked what else I wanted on it and I asked what they recommended. Her reply was onions and pepper so I said sure. I would eat it again. I don't have any others from the area to compare against, but it's not bad at all when compared with anything I've had in LA, how it compares here TBD. Everyone told me to go to many different places so I decided to venture out on my own to Chinatown and happened upon this place while looking for another place. We ordered a plain pizza for the kids, who loved their slices, and a pepperoni-and-mushroom pie for the adults. WOW! The pepperoni was small and incredibly flavorful, featuring little pools of grease (i.e., "flavor") where they curled during cooking, and the mushrooms were small and fresh. The sauce was more complex than I'd expected, and it featured a great combo of herbs and spices. In all, it was a wonderful surprise. The following day, I carried our leftovers to the car parked in a nearby garage, and my elevator mate remarked that the pizza smelled amazing. "You should've smelled it last night when it was fresh!" It's a better value than the places in The Reading Terminal. Biggest downside is they're confusing about topping being an extra charge & I heard the lady come in after me complain about that as well. I would not have gotten any of the toppings I did if I knew how much extra it'd cost. I believe it's ¢50- $1 per topping, which is a huge shame. To my surprise, the lightly toasted roll was filled with some of the most tasty chopped seasoned beefsteak, perfectly paired wit whiz n onions. The filling was hot and nicely caramelized, giving a nice cheezy savory umami blast of flavor in every bite. Give this cheesesteak underdog a try if you're ever in the downtown area. This spot is only a few steps away from Reading Terminal Market, and pretty easy to miss, given its extremely generic name. However, if you need a quick and tasty pizza, missing it would be a mistake! The pizza had a great garlic flavor in the crust, and a pleasant balance of sauce and cheese. We got pepperoni as a topping and were happy with the quantity. The only knock on my experience would be the mozzarella sticks. They're the thin breading variety, and didn't come out very gooey. The shop is a hole in the wall and it might not look like the best place for cheesesteaks since they've got pizzas by the slice waiting at the counter. After my first bite, I was impressed!
