Don't come in when it's busy. They just cook a bunch of steak and try to stretch portion it over multiple orders quickly. Mine came with not even half the amount of meat as I see other people most. About a month ago my daughter and I walked into this place. We usually go another restaurant near by, but decided to try something new. We've been back everyday for two weeks. The shop is very clean, the employees are very friendly, and the classic cheesesteak is so delicious. I love the way the bun is slightly crispy, flakey on the outside, but the bread is warm and soft on the inside. They give you a generous portion of meat too. The Italian Hoagies use to be pretty decent, but now they are using about half the meat as before. They are also using Amoroso rolls sent from PA frozen. The roll was way too soft and not fresh. There are better local options they could have chosen. The French fries are pretty good except I ordered them with cheese sauce that was horrible. these people will never get my business again. i ordered a sandwich, and i put notes in the instacart app, and philly's best did not even read the notes. the sandwich was all wrong. i called the store, and lady told me cook did not read notes i indicated that was not my problem, and she said it was not her problem. then she said there were no notes. there were notes (i saved them with the save button). then she left me on the phone for 50 minutes (never came back (terminal hold). she told me to drive 3 miles to get what i wanted after i paid for delivery, and all the fees. as i wasi telling her the issue she kept interupting me. rude as all fucking hell (never again). philly's best gets a zero star rating. i had to give a one star to submit, but zero star for them. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Philly's Best - Placentia, for several years. I used to come here with my late dog, Veneto , once every two weeks ( on the low), and order myself a mushroom Philly cheesesteak, and order my dog the same thing without onions plus two beef patties. It was our thing. Coming back here alone feels bitter sweet, but it is still a must for me. Out of all of the locations from this chain, this one is certainly the best on customer service, quality environment and the flavor they put out on the food. The order was ready pretty quickly. There is a condiment counter where you can add jalapenos and pickles. My only suggestion would be if you could add the condiments in your original order, like I would've liked jalapenos and pickles to just be in my cheesesteak when ordered. read more
