There's a parking lot across the street which tends to fill up around noon, but spots open up if you circle around for a few minutes. This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon, the line was at least 10 people long, but credit to the team for keeping it moving. There were no seats available inside, but plenty outside. They apologized for an expected 10 minute wait for coffee, and it was actually ready in 10 minutes, which was super impressive. I got the New Manhattan blend black, and while I'm not a huge fan of Philz coffee generally, it was as good as could be expected. Overall great service and fine coffee. read more

The good: I remember my Canadian cousin wanted to try Philz because he watched YouTube Emma Chamberlain drink there all of the time. There's a reason why this place is so popular. The drinks are delicious! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor space to sit, get work done or chat. The outdoor space has benches and tables and is very spacious. The inside has communal tables but also a few tables that seat around 4 people. They have a couch too. I ordered the iced rose latte, a drink I've had at their other location before, and enjoyed it on a hot day. I like that you can adjust the sweetness and I like how the coffee flavor shines thru. The drink was made quickly. The cup was a little over $5 (for the smallest size which is bigger than a Starbucks' tall). They offer three sizes. The bad: The bathroom could be cleaner. We ordered drinks online while strolling along the streets of downtown Sunnyvale's farmers market on a Saturday morning. The quoted time was almost 40 minutes long, a bit longer than usual. This Philz location is pretty small compared to many others I've been to, but just as clean and inviting inside, with cool artwork of animal portraits and other colorful paintings on the walls. They have the typical indoor lounge seating, as well as a few outdoor tables and benches where we were able to enjoy our beverages. My iced mocha tesora wasn't made as consistent as I've gotten at other locations. It was lacking in chocolatey flavor, and even coffee flavor overall. It just tasted very watered down, before even adding the ice. It was a bit disappointing since Philz usually serves good drinks. Not sure if it's the location, or they just made a bad drink, either way I was not impressed. read more

Needed some pick me upper to get me through the day so I stopped by Philz. The coffee shop was spacious with seating available inside as well as out. There is a parking lot across from Philz, garage parking nearby and a few street parking. Even though there was a line in Philz it moved fairly quickly. There was a full staff behind the counter all busily working but still were very friendly. I ordered their famous Mint Mojito extra creamy and extra sweet. Ample seating and in downtown! There's indoor and outdoor seating, love the energy. Theres a work station table where people co-work, so this is a good place to work with internet and charging options. They have kinds of coffees you would have never heard of, so weird but so delicious. Most drinks are available in hot and cold versions both. Tried two drinks Mocha Tesora and Jacobs wonderbar. Jacobs was kind of okay, it was supposed to be chocolaty with flavour of fruits, i could get the fruits but there was nothing chocolaty about it. I loved the Mocha one. Absolutely amazing coffee! This is my first time here. My son raves about Philz Coffee and brought me and my husband here on our visit. The Philtered Soul cold brew we tried was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I enjoy coming to the Sunnyvale Philz since every time I've gone, they aren't too busy, and drinks come out pretty fast! My go to is the Philtered Soul Cold Brew. There is lots of seating inside, and a few tables outside as well. Parking is a bit difficult here in DT Sunnyvale. When it gets to peak hours, parking almost impossible to find. There is some loading zone parking right out front / some no parking I believe, but many people park to just grab and go the drinks. Philz is one of the best morning pick me ups! Avoid Jonathan- rude service and poor tasting coffee by him every time. The other employees are kind but for some reason, l always have a bad experience with him only. Recent example: He left out the mint in my mint mojito and when I asked him if he could add a mint on top he said "put the cup on the counter. Take off the lid" in a terse/rude tone. There's no Philz Coffee near me so I never understood all the hype about their coffee. I was excited to finally try it after hearing so much about it. It did not disappoint! I ended up going to this location twice on my trip. I tried their iced Mint Mojito and iced Coffee Rose. Both were great and unlike any other coffee I have had before but the Coffee Rose was amazing. All the employees are always very friendly and helpful and are always really knowledgeable about everything they can make you. I love Philz, and have been a customer for years. I'm VERY DISSATISFIED with my visit today though. The lid on one of my coffees is not closed properly, so when i grabbed it, it spilled a generous amount of coffee ALL OVER my shorts and shoes. The barista (male) didn't care whatsoever, and another barista (female) came with towels and wiped down the floor. This location did me dirty. On Sunday, I bought coffee beans (Philtered Soul) and asked the cashier, Alejandra to grind course blend. They gave me the wrong grind size (fine grind). I wish I checked before leaving the store. I found out two days later that it was the wrong size, so I went back to the store to ask for the correct grind size. It took them two attempts. The first time, the grind size was the same as the first one. The second attempt was the correct grind size, but they gave me DIFFERENT COFFEE BEANS. In the end, I didn't get what I paid for which sucks because I was really looking forward to the hazelnut flavor. Great coffee but absolutely 0 regards for anyone's time. Mostly, The coffee is ready 5-10 mins beyond what was estimated on the app when you order online. Sometimes even by 20 mins. This becomes a problem for folks commuting via the caltrain as you wouldn't want to miss your train because your coffee was late by 20 mins. Only go here if you have loads of time to kill. Can philz really make a bad cup? Sure... but I have yet to experience that! Hands down the mint mojito extra creamy and sweet is how I like to have mine. This location is on my way to work when I'm in town for work. Although parking isn't the best, it's still worth the visit! I have visited this location a hand full of times in the last 5 weeks. Parking: there is street parking but it's limited and can be a 1-3 block walk. There is a parking lot across the street and I believe you can park up to 3 or 4 hours. I have stopped by at 6:30 am and parked along the side door for a quick grab and go without any problems. I have also enjoyed my coffee here mid day and parked across the street in lot without a problem. Service: staff has always been friendly! The couple of times I've visited midday, service was quick despite the longgggg lines. Lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. Can order via mobile app which I find useful! Sometimes it can take up to 13+ minutes so being able to order when I'm on the way is great! Other suggestions: love their avocado toast and any of there croissants! She was super annoyed and gave me some in a little cup, I asked for a stirrer, she said we don't have any.
