We come to this location occasionally and overall experience was not bad. The lady who normally serves the customer is really sweet. However, during this past weekend we were greeted by this young male server, his tone came off a bit rude. He didn't bring what we requested to the table and didn't check how everything is or if we need anything else. The pho tastes warm with barely any steam and I almost wanted to request to have it microwaved for 2 minutes to warm it up. The beef was chewy and hard to chew. For the egg noodles, they were all stuck together in the broth and you can see it was not prepared properly. I give one star to another older gentleman that brought the food to us. Best pho in the valley, hands down! We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and waited about 5 minutes for a table. I got the beef brisket pho and my boyfriend got the same. The broth is so clear and beautiful and when you add all the spices it comes with it really hits the spot. I was feeling under the weather and it made me feel so much better! I've tried so many places and everyone recommends Pho So 1 but they SUCK, so I would drove to OC to eat viet food until I found Pho 21!! Reminds me of home Also, I'd say that my family and I make the best eggrolls (we've literally been told by many, many people throughout the years), but the eggrolls here are pretty good! Also to the person who complained about rare steak when they ordered pho with rare steak.......maybe you stick to eating non-ethnic food. I ordered the Vegan Wonton Soup, I don't remember the number. I wasn't expecting the wontons to be fried. They got soggy and started to fall apart in the broth, but they were delicious both crunchy and soggy. The soup was served with a number of wontons and faux ham. I didn't care for the ham, but the broth and noodles made up for it. Overall, I really enjoyed my soup. Service was friendly. The restaurant is small and was crowded. Which caused people to bump into you as they tried to make their way to the counter to pay for their meals or pick up their to-go orders. The food was very good and they have an extensive vegan menu, but I probably would not eat here again because you have to pay to park and the inside is not comfortable. As you know I'm a huge Pho lover! We decided to check this place out since it was one of the many FEW that had outdoor dining! I'm so glad we ate here, it was delish! Overall, this was fresh, authentic, quaint and everything pretty much one expects in a little Vietnamese place. It had a little bit of a funky vibe; they even offer some fresh juices which are made from traditional Vietnamese herbs and grasses. They even had a fresh coconut juice served in the shell like people dream about it when I go on a Caribbean vacation. The staff here is family and just home down friendly and they were many local Vietnamese inside, (which always tells me it's a good place to go!). I had a vegetarian pho. It came laden with broccoli and cabbage and bok choy. My partner had filet mignon pho. I had never seen filet mignon in a pho soup before. Usually you get some tough pieces of meat but she said it was the best she's ever had. Then why the four stars you ask? Three reasons: one the hall to the bathroom was loaded with dirty items such as a huge trashcan filled to overflowing and dirty mop in a bucket of black water. Unappetizing. Plus the women's bathroom had a water extractor machine??? Which was filthy; including a trashcan right next to the toilet that was very dirty inside and out. As we left, we ordered a Thai tea and a jasmine tea. Again, my partner said her tea was one of the best she had had. But my jasmine tea tasted more like water. I didn't take his green tea or Jasmine or anything for that matter. And three, I love my fresh Thai basil, bean sprouts, cilantro and anything else they give to put in your soup. They pretty much skimped on the amount even though I told the guy we would pay for extras. Extras never came. Recommendations: JUST GO anyway! The people sitting behind us had some rice dishes with veggies and everything just looks so colorful and tasty. They really load up the vegetables and that means all the world to me. Oh yeah... Love this place - go to spot for pho. Haven't had it since before the pandemic and was worried about getting takeout. Well we ordered pho ga and it was just as good as dine in. I posted photos of the packaging if anyone was curious. Broth is packaged separately from noodles, chicken, onions. Side toppings are also packaged separately. The broth was a great temperature and adding everything in didn't change that a bit. I wish they had online ordering. I used Postmates delivery but the pricing was just an estimate (I didn't realize that at first). That being said, everything was great!! Would definitely get takeout from Pho 21 again. read more

You can tell they put thought and care into each of their dishes and they all taste authentic, even with the substitutions that make each dish veg. They also have a variety of smoothies.
