Hands down the best pho place around Buena Park. Whenever I'm craving for some authentic pho, I always end up at Pho 45. Their portions are HUGE. They never skimp out on the meats (almost gives you TOO much!!) and the flavor of their broth is on point. Whenever I eat pho, I usually run out of noodles or meat first, but I never run into that problem here. If anything, I have leftovers because of how much they give you. My husband loves this place and eats there at least twice a month. Yesterday he picked up pho to go for the first time and we were extremely disappointed. The meat was raw and even after placing it in the broth, it was still raw. My broth even turned red from the blood in the meat. This seems like a food safety concern. When Pho used to be an alternative option for a fast food burger, we were all happy. Pho was a great, hearty option for a poor student like me. Now the pho trend has changed everything. The food phenomenon in the newer generation has upgraded the entire food industry. This generation is not afraid of spending $20 for a bowl of pho if it shows character and is Instagram-worthy. I am not one of those people who dislikes everything new, but I do miss the simpler times when everything didn't have to be fancy. Trust me, I do follow the trend and appreciate handcrafted burgers, small-batch crafted sodas, and gourmet pho. Am I the only one thinking this? I no longer felt lonely after discovering the changes in this restaurant. This restaurant had Instagram-worthy short rib pho, but the price wasn't as expensive as other popular places like the SUP. I know some might say the broth at SUP is different, better, or cleaner, but to me, it's like saying I like bacon but don't like greasy food. To me, an ideal pho embodies everything I love about street food, such as its affordability and heartiness (with little bit of greasiness). Of course, I would love to try Michelin-starred pho. But everyday pho should be this. Why wouldn't you come here instead of SUP? The staff is friendly, pho costs a lot less, and they give you one more bone (compared to SUP). What better can it get? Rarely give 5 stars in my experience on Yelp but this place earned it. To me I think a local eatery needs service, value and environment all meet my standards to earn a five stars. One of the best pho places I've ever been to. I came here with my cousin Seanna Kingstone from Biola because it's close to her and this place did not disappoint. I ordered the #5 and the meat was so tender and the broth was delicious. Cousin told me to put chili oil in the broth and it was a game changer. My favorite pho place. Friendliest staff and quick service. Anything you ask for extra they will give it to you right away. The broth is very clean and not murky like some other pho places and the noodles are cooked perfectly. The only thing I would change is I would not get the filet rare steak- it was too thick for me. Still hits the spot. Called in to order for pick up and was ready in 10 mins. Came in large container of noodles and meats and other ingredients plus bag of the usual veggies to add. Separate container of broth to pour into the large container to eat. This was maybe my third time doing take out. Every time I think the broth is hot enough so just mix and start eating like an impatient fool, only to discover its not hot enough. The cold raw beef and others seem to instantly cool down what otherwise feels like hot broth before pouring in. If doing take out, don't make my repeated foolish mistakes... Remember to boil up the broth even if feels hot already, before pouring onto the noodles and the cold beef to achieve the level of enjoyment like eating at the restaurant. My sister, her friend, my boyfriend and I went here yesterday after we went to Knott's (15 min drive). We came around 9pm I want to say? The staff were so nice here!! They were really accommodating and would ask us if we needed anything. The food was amazing!! I love pho and I think this place puts the most amount of noodles in their bowls compared to other places I've been haha (I ordered number 2 if I remember correctly, the rare steak pho). My bf got the bbq pork banh mi which was pretty good too! The place was clean and brightly lit, it also seems like a lot of other people enjoy it here too! Been here before I don't remember the servers being so welcoming and attentive. Really nice to see especially at an Asian restaurant... a big "welcome" hardly ever happens. Top notch Pho. One of my favorite Pho places I've been to, and I've been to quite a lot throughout OC and LA. First off, they have air conditioning indoor and a modern interior design. Workers were very congenial and didn't have a negative attitude when we asked for more onions, jalapeños, etc. I was on the hunt for oxtail Pho, but came across this place with the short rib Pho and it was absolutely delicious. Here with an update I received the worst service here that I have ever, ever received. I literally was ignored by the staff for 40 minutes. The busser literally filled my sauce bottles and made eye contact without saying one word to me, but was bending over backwards and helping out other tables. If I hadn't lived through the experience, I wouldn't have believed it. They wouldn't take my trash or get me to-go containers.
