15 years ago, I had my first ever bowl of pho at the Graham Rd Pho 75. It was steamy, aromatic, delicious. And changed my non-pho-obsessed ways forever. In these past years since then, I have searched high and low, and have time and again always come to the same conclusion: nowhere can compare to Pho 75! Note: quality varies widely across the various Pho 75s in the Northern VA area - this *specific* Pho 75 restaurant is THE BEST!!! Yes, it's cash only. Yes, it's not big on ambiance. On Sunday mornings, the line stretches out the door as they hurriedly usher you in like cattle and wave you to your spot along several long cafeteria-style tables. Orders are taken seconds after you sit, because the line just keeps on getting longer by the minute. Walk up to the register and pay whenever you're done eating. Very utilitarian, very efficient. But the pho. Ohhh... the pho. They serve nothing except pho. It comes out in minutes, piping hot. The meat is tender, thin, and plentiful. There are copious amounts of cilantro and green onion, and the broth is very beefy, with several layers of spice complexity. You get hoisin, sriracha, lime, sprouts, basil - no sate sauce, but it's not needed here. Pho 75 just concentrates on the basics, and executes them flawlessly. So. Good. When I lived pretty close by, I (obviously) visited quite a bit. Although I reside a bit of a trek from it now, I still make it a point to visit regularly, because it's just that good. In the dozens of times I've visited over many years, there has been an off day or two (where the pho has merely been "really good" as opposed to "fantastic") but the overall consistency is also one of the things that makes this place great. Also, when bringing a toddler, they automatically brought out an extra little bowl with little food scissors for cutting the noodles and meat, which I hadn't seen at many other places - MUCH easier to cut everything up and get the kid fed! Lastly, the Vietnamese iced coffee comes out drip-style, with the condensed milk in the bottom of the cup.... don't forget to stir before pouring it over the ice:) read more

Best pho I've had in a while!! A relative of mine brought me here when I was visiting D.C. The broth was super flavorful and hot temperature wise. I got the basic pho with the flank steak, tripe, and everything else. YUMMM! They give your really decent portions for the price. I thought the meat serving was good compared to some places who seem to give your the bare minimum. There's also loads of fresh cilantro and green onions in the soup. Pho 75 is definitely not shy with its veggie garnishes and will be more than willing to bring you more if you run out (I use mint & limes like crazy!!). The inside is cafeteria style seating. Very casual, nothing fancy. Don't let the plain appearance deter you though from the delicious food served! We went on a weekend, so it was pretty busy. Had to wait a little bit, but the service is fast and efficient to get tables cleared for new customers. I wish Pho 75 would come open a few places down south! I think they would do really well! This is my usually favorite place to eat pho in NoVa. However, there must be some sort of fatty brisket drought since they seem not to have it at least half the time I've been there. That is not an exaggeration. I've been there 9 times in the past 6 weeks, and on 6 of those visits I was told that they were out of fatty brisket. On one of the successful brisket visits, it looked like they just gave me the regular brisket and when I asked they pointed at it and said it was fatty brisket. OK Pho75. Their broth is great and the best in the area, but the weird brisket shortage of 2018 has me feeling some kind of way. You can read other people's reviews for background info and tips. I've lived my entire life in this area. And I've eaten pho since before I could walk. And for as long as I can remember, Pho 75 has been subpar at best. When I'm in the mood for pho, especially if I'm in the Falls Church area, I can think of at least 4 restaurants within a mile or two of Pho 75 that I'd rather eat at than this place. The fact that it's a chain with multiple locations all around the DC metropolitan area doesn't help. As far as flavor goes, I'd say this place is average at best. When you walk into a good pho restaurant, the smell of the spices that make the broth so delicious should hit you in the face like a boxing glove. If your clothes don't carry the flavor of the pho on you for hours afterwards, you clearly had some bland broth. This is how I feel at Pho 75. If you want some quality pho in the Northern Virginia area, I recommend Pho Sate, Pho 495, Pho Cong Ly, Pho Xe Lua, Pho 50 or Pho Cyclo. Especially if you're in the Falls Church area, you can avoid 75 and go to Sate, Xe Lua, 50, or Cyclo all within a 5-10 minute drive. If you happen to be in the shopping center, and you've already parked your car, and you're too lazy to go across the street to 50 or down the street to Sate, than I suppose 75 is ok. read more

Growing up locally in Falls Church, this particular Pho 75 location has been part of my life. More than 20years later, it still looks the same and it still smells the same. But don't count that as a bad thing, it holds a great nostalgia that something so old school can still be so great! I got the number 1 large with extra meatballs and it did not disappoint. Everything is laid out for you to be able to eat in a large group or sit by yourself, without any real fuss of having to track a waiter around. There's always turnover, so you know the food is fresh. A lot of Vietnamese restaurants that serve pho let the pho sit all day. While it's fine for the broth to sit and soak up flavor, the texture (and flavor) of the meat is compromised. Especially with the meatballs. Here, while the meat is not the most tender I've had, it certainly is fresher than most in the area. Who cares if the clientele is mostly Vietnamese. That should be a giveaway that this place is awesome. If you like Pho, or even if you've never tried Pho, this is the place to go. This is the closest Pho to my house that I enjoy coming. It's cash only so remember to bring some. It's one of the many branches of Pho 75 that you can find within the DC area. It's your typical pho restaurant where you get most of the cafeteria style tables and a few 4 tops. If you come during the lunch rush there's a high chance you will end up sitting close to someone else. I try to come only after the lunch/dinner rush. They do close early so keep that in mind. They are done by 8pm and if you show up at 7.45 you better chow down your food fast. Even if there's a long line, the crowd typically move fast so you won't have to end up waiting long. Pho is great comfort food when it's cold outside. Something about warm broth just makes the day better. There's plenty of meat combination here and the broth is on point. Most places when you end up adding all of your ingredient the broth gets a little weak but not here , it's always perfect. Also if you haven't figure it out yet. Pho is a great hangover food ! Oh and if you are here give the Vietnamese ice coffee a try if you haven't had it before. Most south east Asian countries serve their ice coffee using condense milk so it comes pre sweeten . YUM ! Long Story: I've been coming here to this location and the Court House arlington location for years and years and it's easily the best pho in NoVa. You walk in and immediately you get the whiff of the pho aroma - glorious. As soon as you're back to your senses you tell the guy up front how many people you have in your party and he will point to a table which you go to. At the table, you help yourself to chopsticks, soup spoons, napkins, hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce. Now if you're like me and like a small separate dish for your sauces you can ask them for one. I've been going there forever and usually grab a few from behind the counter on my way in - they don't seem to mind. As soon as you're seated, you're given some water and a laminated menu where you choose your pho. There aren't appetizers. All the soups and meat are of high quality. They also have large and small sizes. I Like my meat to cook as I eat it, so I usually ask for raw meat and dip it in hot pot style as I need to. I really only do this at quality pho places, and this is one. The pho comes out relatively quickly along with the dish with the limes, bean sprouts, etc. The soup here is second to none. It's flavorful with so much umami. It's hot and the noodles are perfect. It's not overly salty. I always end up with a clean bowl after. When you're done eating, you go up to the counter and pay. The most refreshing drink ever, and not too sweet. I've downed 2 of these in 10 minutes. - Vietnamese coffee: have had both iced and hot. Good and strong! Though I wish there was less condensed milk; it can get pretty sweet if you use all of it. If you're looking for the best pho, this is most definitely the place to come. It usually is a bit busy, but it's definitely worth the wait. I got the pho with beef broth, tripe, tendon, flank, and meatballs. Unfortunately they were out of brisket. The broth is so flavorful and the bean sprouts add a nice crunch. I also love adding basil, lime juice, and hoisin sauce to mine. The portion sizes are perfect and the service is quick. I also got the Vietnamese coffee which was to die for. Ordered a small soup over the phone. When I arrived, I saw a cash only sign and inquired. No one told me it was cash only over the phone. I was then directed to an outdated ATM within the restaurant which took over 4 minutes to process then errored. I stood there waiting for it to reset and no luck. I offered to pay with CashApp or other means and they said no. Meanwhile, my soup is sitting there and I'm running late for a meeting.
