Pho 79 DC is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant known for its slow-simmered broths, rice plates, and boba. It is the East Coast outpost of a brand that has grown from a proud, family-owned heritage deeply connected to the 1979 wave of Vietnamese immigrants.History of the Name "Pho 79"The widespread use of "79" in pho restaurant names pays homage to 1979. The number holds profound significance for the Vietnamese diaspora, representing either the year the proprietors immigrated to the United States or a celebrated, pre-war pho restaurant located on 79th Street in Vietnam. In Either case, a lunch justified by good food. As smashimg as a pumpkin sensation in our pop culture of historical events.

I enjoyed this family-run Viet spot. The colorful decor is fun and inviting, the portions are great, and it is slightly more wallet-friendly than surrounding pho places. I tried the lemongrass chicken rice plate was delicious. The lemongrass flavor was excellent and the chicken thighs were very tender. My only wish is that they would use the typical broken rice instead of the plain jasmine rice. Fast and friendly service topped off a great meal!

The place is clean relaxing, all the condiments are on the table. Service is nice, and friendly. Prices are good, with a reasonable amount of food. I would say this is top 3 Vietnamese restaurants in Vegas. The great thing about the food here is it's not too sweet. It's well balanced of savory, sweet, sour, spicy. I add a lot of chili when I eat Vietnamese food. For me it's a must. The pho is out of this world here. Clean smooth authentic. The rice dishes too are outstanding. So yeah, this restaurant is fantastic.

Wow super cool and chill vibes inside! Chill music played and our server was super friendly. I also enjoyed my beer in a glass with ice; reminds me of Vietnam and the Philippines. Delicious Pho broth. I highly recommend.

Boy oh boy, this place had delicious food and excellent service, reasonably priced and a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. so let me tell you all about it. The food, as always, is the centerpiece of my reviews as this is the reason for the event. The pho and the broth was so so good and had lots of meat in the combination version. My new new favorite pho to eat resides at this place. My wife got the Korean short ribs, and she (and I) was glad she did, they were excellent. Precisely seasoned, expertly cooked, and plated to start the senses. We had such a great time here, and we were full by the time we left and didn't feel like we emptied our pockets as a result, so try a few things on the menu like we did, and rest easy you won't break the bank. Super high marks and fully recommend this place, as it's my new Pho spot here in the very competitive Vegas market.

It was our first time at this pho restaurant. It is located in a busy plaza. There is street parking as well. The inside is well decorated with beautiful murals; especially of Washington, DC (guess that's where their name came from) Service was a little slow and they weren't even that busy. The food was decent and good; served its purpose of filling our tummies. Nothing really stood out.

An adult stop for good food. Quite the spring ambiance and beautiful murals on a Spring Mountain kind of day.

Came here looking for something warm and soupy and this place was great for a quick bite. There was no wait when we arrived, the restaurant was super clean, and the service was really nice and friendly throughout our visit. My friends gave the pho around a 7.5-8/10 overall! The soup came out hot, which I really appreciated. The broth leaned a bit on the sweeter side, and the noodles were softer than I personally prefer (I usually like a chewier noodle texture), but it was still really comforting and satisfying. Overall, a solid spot if you're craving a cozy bowl of pho.

The quality of the vermicelli is refreshing and flavorful. The Pho was a bit bland with the broth compared to other places I've had Pho but still good! Came near opening time so the ambiance was quiet and peaceful and the atmosphere is so cute with all of the cherry blossom decor! Service was attentive and also took trash out the way! We would most likely return back to this place if we're ever in the area!

Interior: "SO FRESH, SO CLEAN" -OutKast The meat is a bit salty. Overall balanced flavors! Great service. Would come back for the good vibes, but not necessarily the food.

New Pho ownership and gotta try the broth. Decent Pho broth. Had to add sauces to add more flavor. Normal service. Normal ambiance. Try have the rare steak on the side and dip in broth for medium rare.

First time trying this spot and the food was delicious! We go seated right away and our server was very kind and considerate. She even pulled down the shades for us because we were seated in a sunnier spot :D The restaurant beautifully decorated with cherry blossoms and felt very vibrant. My group ordered the #1- Rare Steak Pho and #7 - Rare Steak and Flank Pho! The soup was rich and portions were very filling.

    Grilled lemongrass chicken

The lemongrass grilled chicken was phenomenal. Chicken was crispy , yet juicy and tender. Paris well with the sauce and rice. My husband ordered pho tai which was also so good. Broth was very flavor and food was fresh . Service was great as well, would recommend to others and would definitely be back ! Also the restaurant is very cute.

It's one of those longtime neighborhood spots that's built a loyal following over the years. The menu focuses on traditional dishes, everything is well prepared and authentic. Flavor-wise it's good, though not the best Vietnamese food I've had, especially compared to what you'd find in SoCal. The last time I was here I got the bun rieu and it was ok, not my favorite version of the dish. I'd stick to the pho which feels like a safer choice here and more in line with what they do best. The space itself is spacious and casual. Back in the day, I would have considered this a solid 'cheap eats' option, but that's no longer the case. Like everywhere else in Vegas, prices feel high for what you get. That said, service was good, the staff was efficient, and the food came out quickly. Overall, it's a reliable choice for quality Vietnamese food that I'll keep in my rotation.

I remember their pho being much better before. I normally order pho tai but went with Shaking Beef Pho this time. Prices have for sure gone up! $25 for a bowl of pho that barely tasted like pho!! This one adds some sate or chili in it but it still lacked any of the pho spice flavors. One of my friends also ordered this as well and agreed. My other friend ordered the Oxtail Pho. I tried a sip of his broth and it was the same. No pho spices at all. It's already a bad sign when you walk into a pho spot or when they bring the bowls out and you don't smell the aroma of pho. My friend's oxtail wasn't even cooked long enough. The pros: the noodles were cooked perfectly and the shaking beef in the pho was tender. Our server was also nice. Not sure if maybe it was just an off day or maybe they were still making the broth and forgot the spice. Idk but I will be choosing a different pho restaurant next time I'm in Vegas
