I'm embarrased that I've forgotten to review this place. I don't have much to add to the list of glowing reviews, except that my huge bowl of pho here cured one of the most brutal hangovers I've ever experience, after drinking far too much on a weeknight trying to forget a terrible Avs loss to the Red Wings in the playoffs last year. That is a miracle unto itself! But besides the magical medicinal properties, the pho here is delicious. Also loved the spring rolls. Doubt I'll try much else here because I love those two items so much. Friendliest service I've found to boot. I would add an extra star if I could for the proximity to the best, cheapest Asian market in Denver. Makes the trek worth it. read more

Just one word... Obsession. Obsession at it's finest. It was our first trip and as my very american boyfriend and I walked in, we felt as though it may have been a mistake (we didn't know what anything was). Soon to be smoothed over by the awesome server (who knew everyone by name and what they ate as they walked in, this will be me by next week). When we went to Pho 95, we had to wait for approximately 15 minutes before we could get a seat. This place was packed! If you want good pho, go to this place. You have to be patient enough to wait for a table though. The food is well worth the wait though. The broth is not too oily, the portions are just right, the ingredients are fresh, and you will leave completely satisfied. Also, the service is prompt and quick. Maybe on day, they can move to a bigger building to accommodate more people. I'd take my family and friends here for lunch or dinner. read more

I have been a loyal customer to Pho Dui for the last few years, but I think I found my new favorite strip mall hole on Federal. I never thought that I could find a pho place with energy, but it was refreshing to see lively, diverse clientel packing this place to the brim on a Sunday night. While visiting Denver to get a feel for the city as a possibility to move to, my friend took me here to grab a quick bite. The decor is pretty much what you would expect in a Vietnamese restaurant, all of the staff was friendly and SUPER fast. We both ordered the veggie pho (which isn't actually vegetarian for those purists out there) in a medium size. Holy crap, their bowls are HUGE. First they put a generous platter of fresh basil, bean sprouts, peppers and limes, some places get stingy with these items and I love that they give you way more than you could use. So after adding all of these items to my soup along with a generous helping of chili sambal I took my first steaming bite. It was well, freaking delicious!!!! The broth is so flavorful, the perfect balance of fishy and savory. The best pho I have tasted thus far.Now when I am feeling down, I can go back and think of that moment and cheer myself up thinking of bite after delicious bite of that perfect bowl of pho. Now this was just the veggie stuff, I am guessing the meat selections are even tastier. This place is amazing!! I'm not a pho expert, but theirs is pretty damn good. This is our place to eat hands down. I love the bobba drinks too. What's even better is their customer service, which is huge for me. I have a newborn, and they are always kind when I bring her in. They go as far as to place her in a chair for me, and adjust her so her neck is comfortable. Last time I had a take out order, one of the guys saw I had my hands full and he carried my food out to my car with me. So nice! Prices are great along with everything else. Yes, the pho is good. But good pho cannot make up for the absolute worst service experience I've had. When my sister was visiting from out of town, we planned to grab pho with friends on Friday night. The prior time I had been to Pho 95 was with 7 people, and one of the employees (a manager?) repeatedly told me to make a reservation next time for a group that size. He made his point abundantly clear, so this time, I made a reservation for 7 pm. At 7:02 pm, my phone rings. The restaurant wanted to know where I was, which I found a bit strange given the time. Stressed because my boyfriend got stuck at work and we were running late, I explained that the other portion of my group was not with me and I did not know when they would be arriving. The lady explained that they were very busy and wanted to know when we'd be there because they were holding our tables. (The new location is STILL obscenely small, by the way.) Turns out the rest of our group was walking in the door at that moment, and actually witnessed the restaurant giving our tables away at 7:04 PM - yes, 4 MINUTES past our reservation, when half of our party was already present, waiting to be seated. When I found out what happened, I called the restaurant back and asked to speak to a manager, who was apparently the lady I had spoken to previously. When I told her it is standard for restaurants to hold reservations at least 10 minutes, she actually argued with me! No apology whatsoever. Good food cannot make up for horrendous service. This place has lost my business (and all my friends' business) permanently. There are PLENTY of pho joints in Denver that will treat you much better. I recommend any of those over Pho 95. read more

So I haven't been since they moved. I took a friend there and was embarrassed because it wasn't as good as I remember. First of all, I couldn't believe the spring rolls were made with shredded lettuce. No mint or basil. We asked for mint and they said that they order it from California and California is out of mint. Really? Pho was OK. I asked for extra tendon. At the old location I would receive an extra bowl full. This time they said it was in the pho and I didn't see any extra although I was charged for it. The food here is a 5 hands down. It's really great Pho. But the service is slow and there was an incident while we were there that's really inexcusable that I have to give it a 2-star rating. Also, Federal is full of delicious Pho places that appreciate your business. We were waiting for our Pho order which took over 25 minutes (never in my life have I waited 25 minutes for Pho) and a couple came in and there were several open tables and he sat them at a small table in the corner. They were not very busy (4p on a Monday) and he asked nicely for a larger table. The server/busboy looked at him and told him "no tables, you can leave". There were plenty of 4-top tables. What? After the man patiently explained to him he was simply asking for a bigger table, the server/busboy guy got aggressive and confronted him and the dude just left. That is no way to treat your customers. I felt like I was in an episode of the Seinfeld Soup Nazi. The tables around us were shocked and all agreed that was not the way to keep business. This same rude waiter was at the checkout when I went to pay and was sure to take his sweet time running my card and having conversations with several people while holding my receipt I was waiting to sign. I don't care how good your Pho is, when you treat people like this guy did, you don't deserve my business. I would highly encourage your to pick another place. read more

on our way to the DEN airport from Vail this winter, i was seriously craving a steaming bowl of pho. coming from hawaii, its damn cold anywhere else and nothing warms me up like a big bowl to pho goodness! we got the last table before the lunch rush. the place was packed with vietnamese diners, which is always a good sign. BF ordered the large pho, and as you can see from the pic, it was gigantic compared to his hand! the pho broth was just so deep in flavor, the noodles were fresh, and the beef was tender. there were so many pho places on this street, i am so happy we picked this one-- gonna make this an annual visit! read more

i'm new to Pho. I've only eaten it three times (at three different places) and I always get the same dish. Raw steak. Pho 95 wins in both taste and atmosphere. It feels family run and is operated with care. There seem to be tons of regulars from all walks of life and the mood is entirely unpretentious. For the size of the portions, the price is great. I have never left Pho 95 disappointed (or hungry)! I have gone to a few other pho places around Denver and Golden, and nothing measures up to Pho 95. Their pho is consistently wonderful, fresh, and always served piping hot. It is also a bonus that the food is so cheap as well, especially for broke college students such as myself. I always order the #4, Pho Chay (vegetarian) and it comes with a plentiful amount of vegetables and tofu. The vegetarian broth is very tasty too. I've also had the spring rolls, which are also delectable! The waiters/waitresses are always super friendly and they work their butts off to deliver you delicious Vietnamese food in a timely fashion. I don't even mind waiting a few minutes for a table (since this place is always packed to the gills) or sharing a four-seater table with two other people if I go with a friend. I think their small space is endearing and cozy; or perhaps I'm always just so excited to get my pho that I drift off into paradise and don't notice anyone else around me. The only negative thing I must say: since it has slightly cramped quarters, be smart and don't come here in parties of 12, people!!! Not only will you likely get scalding pho dumped on your head because it is hard to navigate around large tables, but you will have to endure dirty looks of the many other pho fans waiting at the door because you took up half the seating in the restaurant. read more

The restaurant itself is clean and has a more modern style than the typical pho place and they had a nice bar which most local pho restaurants don't have at all so that's a plus if you're wanting to enjoy a cocktail with your meal (I personally didn't drink so can't say how well the drinks are). As far as the quality of the food I wouldn't say it's phenomenal but it is good. My kids who are 1/2 Vietnamese said the pho tasted weird but I personally didn't think so. So my friend Hans kept telling me about this place, Pho, Pho, Pho. Well, gotta give a try, no? It was a very cold night, the place was busy, the waiters were all over, very well humored guys and the food, oh, the pho, delectable. I ordered the #15 which meant it had everything. They have small, medium and large bowls. I ordered a small. OMG, if that was the small, I could not even imagine the large! The meat was delicate, the pasta perfect, and the broth, full of umami. Pho 95 is a great place I want to be clear on that. The Pho is good the ingredients are fresh especially the basil and the bean sprouts. The service is good and the wait staff is for the most part incredibly friendly, however my chief issue of concern with this lovely little Pho joint is its location, call me white bred but I always feel like the area in which Pho 95 is situated is shady. I subconsciously worry that something will happen to my car. That being said the Pho at Pho 95 is some of the best I have had the meat is good, as is the broth of the Tai Pho, which I usually order. I saw they won the vegetarian award in Denver, so i got the vegetarian broth with vegetables and tofu. It was my favorite Pho broth ever!! The server might have been the owner and was super nice and helpful. I ordered a large bowl with a side of their steak ($1).... it was amazing. They pack up what you can't finish in a pint styrofoam cup with a lid,; it makes a nice lunch the next day. Really, it's super bomb and cheap... I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Denver. This place obviously doesn't need another 5-star review to convince you to try it, but I can't resist. It's just too good not to write about. I've been eating at a nearby pho place for years, and was completely convinced that it was the best pho in Denver. Boy was I wrong. I decided to try this place on a whim, based mostly on the overwhelmingly positive Yelp reivews. I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my lucky damn stars that I made that decision because this place is almost certainly unbeatable. First clue: there was a considerable wait at 2:30 pm on a Wednesday. Second clue: the service was prompt and friendly, unlike other pho venues around that area. Third clue: the food. Oh, my lord, the food. We started with Vietnamese eggrolls. They were perfection. Crispy, warm, and not overdone. Served with a full plate of veggies, noodles, and fresh, cool lettuce with a side of delish dipping sauce. Wow. Then the pho came out. We ordered larges, and it was literally enough for 6-8 people. The bowls were the biggest I've ever been served. They were full of noodles and hot steaming broth, which was also perfection (and didn't get all chalky by the end...which is always a letdown when that happens). I got meatball and added rare steak. I've never been given so much meat in a bowl of pho before. In other words, the portions are more than generous, and you TOTALLY feel like you got your money's worth. Total bill for two (two drinks, an appetizer, and two larges with extra meat)? $22 bucks. UNBEATABLE. There's only one thing that makes me sad about this place: it's too bad that I didn't try it sooner. *a tear* read more
