I am currently ill, and needed some soup, so I decided last night to order some pho and egg rolls. Went to pick it up, and brought it home, only to find that the broth they gave me was ice cold. So I had to heat it up myself, feeling like death, when I got home. I called them to let them know about it and asked if they normally provide cold broth, and they told me that it was close to closing time and they normally provide hot broth, and that they would let the cook know. They have some of the best broth I've had, I just wish their veggies were a little more fresh. The owners don't speak much English but they make sure you are well taken care of. They check up on you and offer you their extra spicy home made salsa and walk around making sure everyone is enjoying their meal. I like the overall warmth this place has. I haven't been here in a few years but we got the Pho Filet Mignon (cooked) and it's still as delicious as I remember and we also got the Spring Rolls but they made them to order for us with chicken instead of pork. A simple mom and pop pho shop in a dated strip mall serving some of the better Vietnamese comfort food in all of SoCal. We come to Norco (Silverlakes Field) for soccer and lacrosse tournaments. Last night we had Pho Amor in Norco. We had ate there for years we had no problems it was owned by a old couple. Apparently place is under new owner. We order food yesterday and my whole household woke up with food poisoning. I am writing this because I have small children and wouldn't want anyone else to get sick. Is clear quality went down the drained because I couldn't eat my food it smell and tasted weird so I ate some chicken from my sons plate. We order pho, panfried noodles, chicken and fries. This place used to be a five star establishment. It was so good and consistent we would come once a week if not more. After we heard there were gonna be new owners we were scared the quality was gonna go down. Super bummed that's exactly what happened. Hair was found in our soup this time and last time. The broth is super oily now. Also the last few times the noodles have been super broken. Now sure if they are old or something. Honestly just bummed. We used to come here all the time but now it's not even worth the price anymore. Came here for the first time to try this place out since they had great reviews. Didn't have a good first time experience as the owner wasn't very friendly and he seemed rushed and annoyed. They are a small building so they squeezed in like 8 tables in there so you're cramped in there. We expected it to be like a sit down restaurant experience but you have to order and pay up front so make sure you are ready to order when you get up to the counter. I saw on Yelp there was a roasted chicken and rice dish so I asked for it and he said no more so than I was lost with what I wanted. He suggested another dish that was "similar" to it. Let me just say I will never take his suggestion again cause it was nothing like the dish I wanted. The dish I got was a plate of rice that was drenched with salty sauce that I couldn't even eat. The egg rolls were okay but nothing to rave about. The pork banh mi sandwich was okay but not like the ones from OC. They also were out of smoothies so we couldn't try anything we came in for. Pho Amor used to be my favorite Pho place but after tonight I won't be going back. I'm so bummed I called to order ahead like I normally do. I ordered 2 steamed chicken pho ga, one with no garnish (onion,cilantro) and extra lemon. Neither requests were done but that's ok I understand I know they were busy. But the kicker was the portion size and broth. The broth was so greasy and did not taste good at all. I had to wipe my mouth after each bite it was so greasy. They used to give out so much chicken and noodles I had enough for 2 meals but this there was barely 5 little pieces of chicken.
