Come early. Heard good things about this place and was feeling some pho so I decided tonight would be a good time to check it out. My girlfriend got off work at 7 took us about 15 minutes to get to the place but I figured 45 minutes was more than enough time to eat and get out but when we get in they tell us to go orders only as they're closing in 10 minutes. Ordered through DoorDash. We ordered two beef and egg rolls plates. Only one was delivered. We called the restaurant and they argued with us for 10 minutes that we were wrong. We asked if they would make it right if we went in and showed the receipt and they said yes. When we went in, we showed the receipt and bank charge and they REFUSED to give us the food. They said they could remake it if we paid for it. Absolute worst customer service. Will never go back. read more

This place is probably the best place in chico for Pho. The food is prepared fresh and the price is reasonable for what you pay for. The only thing I could suggest is that they fill the bowls a bit more with food. If you like dry bowls I'd suggest the G6. Eat well. read more

I was thrilled when this restaurant opened, I have loved Vietnamese food for years but could only get it when out of town. I love the vermicelli dish and the fresh spring rolls. I do not, however, like the pork so I stick with the chicken. The food is always fresh and the portions reasonable for the inexpensive price. read more

For Chico? This place is great. For Pho in general? This place is eh, nothing to be excited about. The little bit of basil given with the Pho is bruised and wilted, and the broth is pretty mild/bland. But like I said before, for Chico, this place isn't half bad considering that there isn't really any competitors out there. The chicken noodle soup is the best! Noodle House near downtown is the same owners, same food.

Clear, flavorful broths. The noodles are texturaly perfect. This isn't fine dining, but it's comfortable, clean, has good servince, and the food is consistent. Wonderful Vietnamese egg rolls, by the way. I gave this a 5 out of 5 because it's the best Pho I've tried in California. I was told by a source that once worked there that this restaurant recycles uneaten food from tables by throwing it back into the pot. My partner and I both asked for vegetarian options and they proceeded to give us beef bone broth that made us very sick. I would never go back to this location, and would not have gone at all had I known any of this beforehand. read more

Let me start by saying that I won't compare local restaurants and their food to those situated in other cities that have much larger populations as I don't think that's equitable. I went in search of Pho as I had a craving for it so I Yelped it and Pho C&C got some very nice reviews so I gave it a try. I'm happy to say that I wasn't disappointed, the Pho was the nicest I've had since I fled the Bay Area. The broth wasn't overly salty as some can be but it was a bit on the sweet side, not enough to be distracting but noticeable. The cilantro, basil, sprouts and jalapenos were all fresh, crunchy and tasty, the portions were generous but not gargantuan and the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the spring rolls as well, the shrimp were firm and sweet and the dipping sauce was really good, they only come 2 to an order so if ordering for multiple people act accordingly. I'll definitely be back to this place but don't take my word for it, try it for yourself and draw your own conclusions. read more

Food was okay, but the service was abysmal. First there were only two other tables on Saturday night, so busyness wasn't a factor. It was still early (6 ish), so end-of-the-night burn out couldn't have been a factor. Our waitress quickly took our order and promptly sat down at a table with her family and started playing on her cell phone. Food came out quickly--delivered by someone else, drinks never did. Waitress never checked back, only got up to take the order of another table who came in before sitting back down with her family. Never checked back or picked up dirty plates--just slammed the check down and walked away. This was my second visit, and I won't be back. read more

I was SO happy to find great vietnamese food when I moved to Chico - very good spring rolls, pho, and vermicelli dishes. Great prices and a lot of food for the money. The service is super nice when we're super nice and friendly to them; otherwise, not that super friendly or outgoing in their attentiveness, but I like them all the same. This is my favorite place to call in and pick up a quick, cheap, and somewhat healthy weeknight dinner. I always get the G5 Chicken -- Grilled chicken with vermicelli noodles, lettuce, peanuts + an egg roll. I love the sweet & sour fish sauce that comes with. The egg rolls are good, but I actually like their vegetarian rolls better. Overall, the meal is delicious! It's the perfect amount of food and you can't beat the price. read more

This is the only vietnames food place in the area I will go to. I know we don't have many options here. Their fresh spring rolls are delicious and their beef soup is great. They are very friendly and know me by name which always makes me feel welcome. The other Pho place in town is The Noodle House, but their base recipe is bland compared to most other Pho I've eaten. I make pho myself and love C&C. The only place I love more is Turtle Tower in San Fran if u ever get a chance to go...try it! read more

This place is not worthy of 4 stars, definitely overrated. I ordered a large bowl of the house special pho, with beef, fish balls, and not much else. The soup stock was tasty, that was the best part. But there was very little meat (think "where's the beef") and finding the fish balls was also a challenge. They did bring a small plate of beans sprouts, cilantro, mint leaves, and some hot peppers which made the soup more interesting, but the presentation was really lame. I've eaten in a lot of Vietnamese places and the house special soup is the hallmark dish of any place that includes the word "pho" in the name of the restaurant. Usually you will get a fair amount of lean beef, beef balls, and other Vietnamese meat delicacies in the bowl, but not here. I ordered a side dish of beef balls (pho bo vien) just to liven things up. The beef balls themselves were fine but they were each cut up into four pieces which meant I got charged for an order of beef balls and maybe got two to add to my soup. Three stars is a bit generous - overall the place is mediocre. read more
