We eat here frequently and it's always delicious! The family that owns this business is so nice and has great costumer service.

This place is not worthy of 4 stars, definitely overrated. I ordered a large bowl of the house special pho, with beef, fish balls, and not much else. The soup stock was tasty, that was the best part. But there was very little meat (think "where's the beef") and finding the fish balls was also a challenge. They did bring a small plate of beans sprouts, cilantro, mint leaves, and some hot peppers which made the soup more interesting, but the presentation was really lame. I've eaten in a lot of Vietnamese places and the house special soup is the hallmark dish of any place that includes the word "pho" in the name of the restaurant. Usually you will get a fair amount of lean beef, beef balls, and other Vietnamese meat delicacies in the bowl, but not here. I ordered a side dish of beef balls (pho bo vien) just to liven things up. The beef balls themselves were fine but they were each cut up into four pieces which meant I got charged for an order of beef balls and maybe got two to add to my soup. Three stars is a bit generous - overall the place is mediocre. read more

I could literally eat here every day. It's delicious! I noticed a lot of folks complaining here about the portion size, and I've only ever had pho here and at a place in Sacramento, but I didn't notice any size issues - I'm a pretty enthusiastic eater, and I always finish a large bowl full and happy :) maybe they're just pho snobs? As a long-time Chico resident, I'm just stoked to even have pho here - i'm not about to complain about the portion size! No, but seriously - try this place if you're interested. You won't be disappointed. My only negative advice is stay away from the balls - both fish and meat. They are not so yummy - at least to me. read more

I love pho with a passion as do a lot of Asians out there. So when we think or hear PHO...we think big bowls and lots of meat and herbs. I remember when I first went in to Pho C&C, I was a little taken back at the size portion and the meat that were in the pho. I was expecting to get tripe, tendon, delicious meatballs, etc. No, not really that didn't happen. Like other reviewers, the soup itself was a little bland...had to put a lot of sauces in it. My husband doesn't like it one bit...but it's a little better than the other one across town so when I'm craving for pho and don't have time to make it myself...I'll run over to Pho C&C and grab a bowl. Most bland Pho I have ever tasted. No vegetables...? Just noodles in a murky broth. Am used to having carrots/broccoli/onions at the very least. The spring rolls are just lettuce, vermicelli, and some tofu. Pass on this place. read more

Had the pho and friend had the beef rice dish. Taste like Americanize Pho. Definitely not authentic. Broth taste like MSG enhanced and not slow cooked with beef bones like how real pho is actually made. The rice dish beef was tough and not flavorful. As for service, waitress was bland, was not mean, was not friendly, seemed like she was forced by her parents to work there so not so happy. read more

The soup base of the pho was way too sweet- it had a weird taste the moment I tried it. The portions are also small- all the other pho restaurants I've gone to have larger portions- especially for a 'large'. Go somewhere else. read more

This is my usual go to for Pho in Chico. Big servings for a great price, lovely service, and great spring rolls. However, tonight we show up at 7:30 and they switched the open sign to closed as we pull up (they're not suppose to close until 8pm). Then as we open the door to see if we could still get a seat, the bus boy or dishwasher walks out with trash and rudely says, "we're closed, can't you see". This took us by surprise, given the staff has been nothing but the best. We'll now aim to come early for dinner and hopefully never see this man again. read more

I love pho on a cool day and this is the place to get it in Chico. The beef pho is my favorite and I love all the toppings they give you to add in. The portion is small in comparison to Noodle House, however I come to this restaurant instead because I am in love with their spring rolls. They are very refreshing and the peanut sauce they give you to dip them in is really yummy. My one complaint is that my potstickers were overcooked both times I have gotten them. Other then that it's great and cheap. My bf and I got 2 phos, spring rolls and pot stickers for $20! Can't go wrong for that price. read more

Being from an area a lot less populated than this one, I enjoyed Pho C&C a lot. I went with my son who said it was great and it was just that. I had the beef pho and springroll appitizers. I was so impressed that I promply went home, got on the internet and started making my own pho. I now eat it at home all the time but when I am Chico it is definatly and option for lunch. My hubby did not like it but he just likes bland American food mostly, I however highly recomend it. read more

I really enjoy grilled meat, so my Vietnamese "go to" is always the grilled meat with rice noodles. Many of my friends go for the pho. However grilled meat, rice noodles and the combination of fresh lettuce, mint, cilantro and bean sprouts cannot be beat. Healthy and Amazing! read more

It's cheap, it's fresh, my husband sends me back again and again to pick him up beefy soup for lunch. Never eaten in-store but it's clean and pleasant inside. After a so so experience or two i'm really warming up to this place. My last several dining experiences have been excellent and I think the restaurant has been hitting its stride. Just had the house special Pho as a takeout and found it generous and delicious for under six bucks. I've read some reviews about a perceived bland broth but for me a little added hot sauce and basil (included) made for a delicious dish. I do believe I am a fan. read more

Fresh and friendly service. The soup is delicious and nourishing. Add your own spices and greenery to flavor it up. The broth is excellent. The veggie rolls and shrimp rolls aremade fresh and the prices are good. You can tell the whole family is involved in keeping this a clean and good environment to eat in. read more

I was one of their first customers since I live near by. They started out good but have become rude and have low quality food and service. I went there many times especially for lunch even though it is pricey for a lunch and a drink. I went once and there was hair in my food. I called the owner to look at the hair. He called me a liar and refused to replace the food. He made a scene and I just walked out. read more

Since I have not been to other Pho Restaurants I really have nothing to compare it too, but I can talk about how it was when my husband and I went for lunch. It was not busy at all and so we were greeted and seated pretty quickly. We ordered the chicken soup and the beef soup (both larges) along with a order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were ok, I have had better at other places, but they were not horrible. As for the soup I think it was good. The broth was a little bland but I guess that is why we have salt and pepper along with everything else right? My biggest issues is the lack of service during our meal. When we finished our drinks she did not come over to ask if we wanted more tea or water. She just kind of sat there and stared at us. The food was ok, but again the actual service itself needs a lot more work. read more

the pho broth is pretty good compare to other places here in chico. the large size is rather small for $8 imagine if i was to order a small. they offer no tripe, or tendons as i recall only slice meat balls n slices of steak if you were to order the P2 as stated. their ice tea are not actually ice tea like any restaurant it is more of green tea bags boil and then pour into ice and water. the taste is of hot green tea bags. the fresh spring roll had a little stiffer wrapping to it compare to other places although i do find they put thin slice of chicken or meat in with the shrimp spring rolls which was great or was it something already premade but with the harder wrapping whats the point. also, as you enter the door a fake tree is literally place like 4 and half feet in front of the door. that seem more out of place it just dont belong there. i can see when customers walks in and it is in the way. then a table set right behind it like a feet apart. the ceiling has minor leaks with stain. overall an A to the broth but i was dissapointed with everything else. i wouldnt be coming here again for the 1 main reason $8 for a "small" large... sorry read more
