I've been meaning to come back to Pho Chau for a while, but it took me a year to finally get around to it because I really wanted to try their pho. We started off with the grilled pork spring rolls and jumbo shrimp tempura. The spring rolls were decent--pretty standard, but nothing special. The jumbo shrimp tempura wasn't something I would ever order, but my friend wanted it, and as expected, I wasn't too keen on it. The pho, however, was good! For this area, which doesn't have many pho spots, Pho Chau is a solid choice. I also tried one of their boba drinks. Just a heads-up--their boba drinks are different; they use a powdered base instead of the typical fresh ingredients. As for the service, it was fine overall, but there was a small language barrier. My friend spoke Spanish to the server, and when I ordered, I had requested a side of extra onions, she looked at me in an odd way. I figured she didn't understand me, so I repeated and she just nodded her head. When I get my bowl, there was no onions even though I asked for a side of extra onions. It wasn't a huge issue, though, because I understand what's it's like. At least I ended up getting the side of onions! Overall, I enjoyed the experience, and I'd definitely return :-) read more

Was really craving some PHO and stumbled across this gem. It's the 15th so we all know it's super cold here in Dallas. I appreciate the fact that they were even open today and so glad I went. I was sat as soon as a walked in, good services and the server was very attentive. I was craving some spice so I asked for her suggestion, and she suggested I could add the spicy chili oil in any bowl. I ordered the beef pho and it was delicious. I got a small and even that was filling. Can't forget the siracha. Although it is small in the inside, it has plenty of seating. This will be my go-to pho spot from here on out. read more

I came to the restaurant on Wednesday (11/20). I was recommended the restaurant by a local. I ordered the rice vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll. The food was delicious. It came out fresh and was beautifully plated. This restaurant is a nice, quaint restaurant. Some of the best places to eat are small, home-in-a-wall places. The service was great! Today I got a chance to experience a very good Pho restaurant. "Pho Chau". I came from a bad experience right next door at the sushi place that did not allow me to come inside and eat. This place welcomed me in at about 6:40 p.m. on a Wednesday evening. I set me down to the table, not less than 10 minutes later another happy couple came in and they also set them down even though they were closing at 7:00 p.m. The food was delicious and well prepared. The staff was friendly and respectful. I just found my next favorite restaurant for a quick dinner or meal. Highly recommend this experience. They definitely need to see more customers . read more

This little place is a hidden gem near Love Field, in Dallas. I loved the fresh spring rolls, the peanut sauce was so good that I asked for more to add to my vermicelli bowl, which was the marinated pork. Also very very good. The service was fast and the food was great. I'll be back. read more

We stopped by this pho place on the way to Dallas Lovefield airport, but unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. I got the beef combination pho with all the types of meat - Round Steak, Brisket, & Meatballs. But the steak pieces were cut into tiny pieces, the meatballs were sliced up, and my bowl had majority brisket. And the broth was a little on the salty side. Still filled me up and I was satisfied, however. The avocado smoothie with boba was quite delicious! They make it super quickly too, whereas other places have taken a while to get the avocado shakes made. They not only add tapioca balls, but also honey jelly pieces, giving it some subtle sweetness and fun textures! I'd definitely come back for that shake! read more

This place is awesome! The food is delicious, the portions are plentiful, and the service couldn't be more prompt! I went there for lunch yesterday, and went back again today. I'm quite confident I will be going there regularly. This place is so fast, its nearly as fast as a drive through. The only downside is checkout seems to stack up, but they work through the line pretty quickly. This is my absolute favorite place to go for lunch, at least once a week. The pho is consistently delicious. The staff are always smiling and welcoming to everyone that comes through the door. The owners are the most genuinely gracious people I have met and love their customers. Pleasant atmosphere and easy to have a conversation and not be overwhelmed by a loud seating area. I love this place. This restaurant offers authentic Vietnamese food and hosts a large variety of pho to choose from. They also have great banh mi. Best part? All of this is at incredibly reasonable prices!! Another plus is that they have pho in various sizes--all the way up to EXTRA LARGE. This is only a frequent spot due to location near Dallas Love Field Airport. If you need to get your pho fix before or after your flight this is a place to go. I did not enjoy their spring rolls or egg rolls, however their chicken and brisket beef is always flavorful. I have never receivived good service in any of the handful of times I have eaten here. I'm really struggling trying to decide if this place is two or three stars. I don't care about the decor and how new the tables are, none of that stuff bothers me. We ordered the crispy spring rolls and they were cold, soggy and extremely greasy. Not a good start. The flavor was good actually, but I just couldn't get passed the fact they were so cold. My co-worker, who isn't really experienced with Viet food said that his was so cold, he just thought that was how they were supposed to be. lol, he thought they were the rice noodle spring rolls that he's heard so much about. No, buddy, these were supposed to be fried and crispy unfortunately. My pho (3p with brisket, tendon and flank steak) was actually okay, although my broth did taste like bbq brisket. My co-worker's vermicelli was insane looking. Insane as in, I-don't-know-what-the-hell-it-was-but-it-sure-wasn't-vermicelli insane. It didn't even look like the vermicelli noodles. It was a big bowl of stir fry noodles with brocolli, snow peas, and a bunch of soy sauce all mixed together. This place has become one of my favorites in the DFW area. It's nestled in an older strip, but don't let that fool you. The food makes up for the lack of interior design. Being Vietnamese, I can be particular about finding the perfect balance in my pho broths. Pho Chau does it just right and my taste buds dance every time. One thing I'll note is the amount of meat you get can differ depending on the day, but that's my only qualm. While they offer some other dishes, the beef pho is the star. However, if you're not in the mood, I suggest their pork rice plates which are packed with plenty of flavor. Service has always been good and prompt. The essence of pho is the rich comfort of its broth, and while it's not the best broth I've ever had, it's on par with most of the other mediocre places in Dallas. (According to my Vietnamese-American friends, Dallas pho is, on average, unfortunately disappointing.) That said, this one is no worse than the others! The noodles were on point, the toppings were fresh, the broth was perfect for a chilly day, and the meat was just right, too. Four stars because it's not the best in the world (the five star honor probably belongs to Vietnam and Vietnamese mothers everywhere). This place is pretty clutch for good pho. I usually get take out for lunch and for take away pho, it's pretty good. It's still piping hot by the time I get back to my desk. My go to is P3- Eye round steak, brisket, and tendon. Their brisket is really tender and not dry and fatty like most places. The soft tendon is soft. This is a decent spot to get a super fast, affordable lunch. It is very close to UTSW and Parkland, you will most likely see many employees their on lunch breaks. The hubs and I come here frequently. The pho is good, spring rolls are good, egg rolls are good, and the thick rice noodles are good. It gets very busy but they always manage to find a table for you quickly. You can easily get in and out of this place before your lunch break ends. This is a "hole in the wall" style place. Don't expect a lot of frills. Get your pho and get on with your life. read more
