This place is one of the better pho places in the South Bay. Their vermicelli is really good here too. Their portions are huge for the pho (even for a small) and vermicelli. The spring rolls are good here, but I feel like you can't really go wrong with spring rolls! Their rice dishes are also really good; my mom and I ended up splitting a marinated pork with broken rice dish. Hands down, in my opinion, Pho Consomme beats Pho So1 a couple blocks! Service is always good when I go and the servers really pay attention to their customers. Downside is the really tiny parking lot! read more

It seems a dirty restaurant with rushing service. The food is okay. They always want y to order quickly so they can go,and never come back. All the stuff on tables look so mess, they need to clean it more. It's better to go Thai lai or Vietnamese pho restaurants. Don't recommend this place. read more

With this crazy climate in S. Cali my two boys and I decided to have soup for dinner. They always order #1 I always go for #6 with egg noodles, but this time I didn't want to feel left out so I ordered #1. It's not for me it had different kinds of meat; however the broth itself was rich and delicious. Next time I'll just ask for the broth and noodles. Don't let the appearance from the outside fool you. I must say this spot was really Good! I would have never even knew it existed if it wasn't for the coworkers. We walked in on a Thursday around 1230 and to my surprise it wasn't busy which was great. I ordered the (s)rare steak pho which was delicious you guys! The broth was so flavorful and the noodles were good as well but one thing I noticed is that My noodles were kinda stuck together. Normally once they sit in the broth they would separate but mine kinda stuck together.. My coworker wanted to get a roll for appetizer and the fried noodles to share for the table. It was by far way to much food but glad I got to taste more then what I ordered. The fried noodle was also pretty good. I would prefer my noodles not fried but it wasn't bad because it came with beef and sauce. Once you dip the noodles in the sauce it gets soft. The beef and whatever sauce they use for the fried noodles is freaking delicious!! Ohhh I forgot to mention I wasn't a fan of the roll. The chicken tasted weird to me. I moved back to this area and I was happy to find a new Viet restaurant. There aren't any good ones in this part of Gardena. The first time I went, I had the Pho Ga. It was pretty good. It had more seasoning than I'm used to, but it was good. We tried the shrimp fried rice, and it was really good. It was a heaping plate of fried rice with plenty of shrimps. It was seasoned perfectly; not too much or too little. The third time I went I had the Mi Hoanh Thanh. Although it wasn't as good as the place I usually go to for this dish, it was pretty good. I think I'll frequent this place since it's so close to home. read more

It IS 1 of the cleanest vietnamese restaurants I've ever eaten at. I ordered their "pork bun with eggrolls." Their fish sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but their BBQ pork + egsrolls are pretty darn good. Wish there was a bit more lettuce in my bun. My favorite "Bun" still comes from Thai Lai...oh, how I love Thai Lai's Bun and their fish sauce. Nice and Tart!! Spring rolls were just OK -- Thai Lai's are better. I think I'm going to have to try their shrimp fried rice or Pho next time. read more

Cold rainy day, a bowl of Pho hits the spot. Also tried the spring rolls and a Bahn xeo. The pho broth was delicious. I ordered a small #3 rare beef with tendon and tripe. It was more than enough food to eat. There was a fair amount of meat and noodles to satisfy my palate. The spring roll was light, with fresh crisp vegetables. The banh xeo was ok. I've had better in Westminister. Where this establishment really lost stars was in customer service. They are very disorganized. We had to search and ask for the sign in sheet to be seated, then once seated no one ever came to take our order, we had to go ask for help. The water we requested came 10 minutes after we received our food. I had to get up and ask for a container for my left over soup. No one ever checked in on us or refilled our water glasses. Customer service 2 stars only because the employees were friendly. Cleanliness of the restaurant 3 stars, looked like the floors needed sweeping badly, at least where we were sitting, there was food and trash on the floor, not very appetizing. Might try the place again when it is not the lunch hour because I did enjoy the pho. read more

I enjoy eating here. I always order #16 (large) which is pork broth which is clear with large slices of chicken breasts and rice noodles. And the waiter or waitress bring you a plate with slices jalapenos, bean sprouts, cilantro and lime wedges. I see it as chicken noodle soup without all the veggies but its still good. I pay $ 7.74 for my bowl with a cup of water not really drinking soda. The service is always great never had a problem. This is way better service than the Pho down the street. read more

It's so Meh. I'm one of the few that usually finishes his broth, but I just couldn't do it here. The noodles were slightly undercooked, making it hard to chew at times, and the broth was just not good. A good broth has that slight sour note to it, which is usually leveled with the bean sprouts or siriacha-hoison-chili sauce mix, but the broth here had a few more notes than I would have liked. One of the better Viet food places in the South Bay IMHO. Pho, noodle and rice dishes all very good. Nice thing about this place is the soda is from a fountain, not a can like most Viet restaurants. Parking can be tough at times as it does get a little crowded. read more

By far, this is the place where you can find a good bowl of pho, a delicious beefy broth around Gardena area better than those near by. Pho Tai Chin was excellent. A lot of meat was served. Liked Spring Rolls as well. But, do not order Pho Chicken Breast...Pho Chicken Breast was not at all chicken breast but of a half side of chicken with its skin on. It was not a pretty sight to have as a meal. read more

We arrived cold & hungry, and left full, warm & happy. Food is good. Service was friendly, really nice, and the chef gave us a free dish to try. We greatly enjoyed it all. I'm definitely NOT any kind of expert on Vietnamese food, but this was tasty and enjoyable. You can request "NO MSG" which I was told is fine for most made to order dishes- except the soups, which are made ahead and already include MSG. Dinners are about $8. We started with A1 Goi Cuon, a rice filled summer roll, which arrived almost instantly and was just what we needed to take the edge off our hunger. I don't need a 3 day migraine headache, so I ordered the #61 Xao Don ThapCam, House Special Crispy Fried Noodles w/ seafood, Meat & vegetables (and requested no MSG). It was way bigger than the menu photo indicated. Very tasty. My GF asked about a lemongrass dish, but that has MSG, so she instead ordered the 62A stir fried rice noodles with meat & vegetables. She loved it! (And loved the leftovers for lunch the next day!) As we were digging into our dinners, the chef brought us a small bowl of the lemongrass dish we had asked about but were forced to reject due to the MSG. With a big friendly happy smile, he said it was made special without MSG, and no charge. Wow! that was really nice! It is amusing to note many English spelling errors on the menu. Even the restaurant name is spelled wrong on the menu & receipt (doesn't match the sign & business cards). Oh well. Enter parking lot from RB Blvd only, although Pho Consumme is on a street corner, there is not a side driveway. Street parking also available is the lot is full. I have been to other pho places and this is by far the best. I love their location as is not crowded and you do not need to be afraid about someone hittign your car. Their food is goo and big. I love the free refills . A lot of pho places do can sodas,, which I hate because I drink a lot of soda. Over all its a 5 star pho place. read more

Came here for lunch takeout because my fave South Bay Saigon-style restaurant wasn't on the way to My meeting. Big mistake. The vermicelli (bun) bowl/plate was terrible. The noodles come in big sheets that cannot be separated. Never thought I'd ever need to cut my noodles into squares to eat them! The shrimp and meats were all so overcooked that my dog would have considered them to be toys, not food. The crispy egg rolls were also way overcooked to where they were greasy, very dark, and the meat was all overcooked. I suppose the only good thing was that they gave you a ton of veggies/greens/herbs, but I needed to re-wash them more thoroughly than how they arrived. Won't be back. read more

Great prices. Friendly service. Yummy food. Our go to place for Vietnamese food. They have 2 big tvs to watch & nice soothing music in the background. This place is HORRIBLE !!!!! The "manager" was so rude when I had placed a to go order and he told me there was a $10 minimum for card and I got that but he was so rude about it and I couldn't understand half of what he said and he kept raising his voice when I just wanted to pay and not argue. He kept bringing up how he pays every time they use the machine but if that's the case then don't use it and he wouldn't give me his name and just said he didn't care. After hearing about this place from my Mom, we stopped in on a Sunday for lunch. There were about four tables of patrons which was concerning b/c almost every Pho dive I've been to is packed to the gills. We were promptly seated by the window. Opened the menu and was pleasantly surprised to see such a wide variety of Vietnamese food. And best of all they serve Bi (the shredded pork and rind with ground toasted rice bran); my favorite. Our waiter came to take our order; amazingly I figured this out w/o him saying a single word, just a simple head nod. I guess we are in a real Vietnamese restaurant. I told him I would need another minute as I wanted to look over the entire menu. Wrong answer as I think I saw his eyes roll. Being a high school teacher, I recognize it quickly...Partly my fault I suppose, just order the damn Pho and get on with it.. So here's the rundown: Wife: Pho Dac Biet. Great broth; not too salty like some places. Great subtle depth of flavors. Only downside, the beef meatballs were cut into 1/4's and got only one...Really? I've seen 1/2's but 1/4's?! Otherwise, great Pho for the South Bay. As for me: I had the Broken Rice plate with Steamed Egg, Pork Chop and the Bi (did I mention it is my fav). Wow, I have never seen such a large plate of food. All of it was very tasty and at such a bargain (under $10)...And it had real broken rice. Awesome. I also had a Café Su Da which was just OK. It was pre-made; I much prefer the old school drip deal with the glass of condensed milk and ice. Overall a great little place. Will be back again. read more

This is my favorite Vietnamese food place in the South bay. Very busy inside and sometimes hard to get seating but the food is excellent and worth the wait. Service is generally on the good side although they can become very busy. Parking is limited but there is extensive surrounding street parking. Prices are very good. The best dish is the noodle dish called Pho and is consistently great here. read more

Com Ga Ro Ti is awesome too (very unique because it comes on a sizzling plate & great dipping sauce). They could really work on customer service and multi-tasking though. This place is great if you can get over the language barrier. Some of the servers speak broken english, but if that's not a problem, I highly recommend Pho Consomme. I got the Filet Mignon with Vermicelli and fresh Vegetables. It was delicious and my date and I got out of there for less than $20 including tip!! For the amount of "hype" people put in this restaurant, I gotta say it was worth coming. I have been trying to come to a Pho restaurant and I had the #1 bowl. Delicious! The beef in the soup was great and the rice noodles was perfect! I really enjoyed the soup but I got full quickly especially for how big the bowl was. I came with my partner and we also tried the egg rolls and they were amazing, the only reason why I'm putting 4 stars is cause I think I didn't get enough rice noodles compared to my partners, I finished mine quickly, and my partner was still eating. Other than that I like this place. Very nice place, great music station, fast service, tasty foods. I hope all phos restaurant are the same as this first experience I had. read more

Horrible experience today. I went in to pick up a bowl of pho. After I received the food I asked the old man in the front (might of been the owner) for some extra red hot sauce. He gave me one extra and when I asked for another one cause they are tiny. The man then gave me another one but commented in a rude way that i should go buy a big bottle of that sauce in the store if I was going to ask for more. The point is the bowl was 10$ so I think I deserve to get how many I wanted ! Plus they have bottles at every table not like it's an extra ! read more
