All the food was served quickly and was so delicious. The pineapple fried rice was so flavorful that I could eat just the rice by itself without any of the chicken. The coconut shrimp was crisp and perfectly paired with the thai chili sauce. The drinks were a bit on the sweeter side than I would have liked. The green curry was delicious! Who knew you could get such good food in little ole Willimantic? A cut above the typical Thai resto with some outstanding specialties and a step up with the familiar dishes. We started with some excellent spring rolls, both fresh (with shrimp) and deep fried (with chicken). The latter were crispy cheroots of deliciousness, very addictive. My wife had their eggplant with Thai red curry which was very flavorful and just the right heat level (she chose level 3 out of a heat index 1-5 offered). My daughter had a hankering for pho which she really enjoyed. I sampled the broth and it was very good, meaty but light. I had a chicken pad thai which was also very well made, with tender pieces of white meat and bright flavors. A standout was the crabmeat fried rice which we shared - very very good and I would come back just for another plate of this. We are looking forward to another visit to try more dishes! read more

The order went in with two people confirming what was written on a sticking not for Spring Rolls with Peanut sauce and ground peanut with sweet sauce...and Mix Vegetable Dinner w/ white rice. What came home was a soup (unknown kind as we didn't order it) the Spring Rolls with sauce, Radnah (?) with beef which had NO beef and Curry Chicken with white rice. There was a discussion about tofu as a protein substitute only to be told they didn't have tofu (?) in the past they had the best tofu and mixed vegetable w/ rice. When we called the first woman passed it to a woman who said she took the order...that the incorrect order was actually what they ordered. Both individuals confirmed they gave order taker the correct order and were not only given incorrect food but witnessed a table receiving an incorrect meal too. Some confusion is pardonable arguing with a customer instead of making the order correct is poor customer service. This used to be a superior restaurant with excellent everything. Now\_(**)_/ the food is not prepared well, the orders not taken well, and the restaurant is empty at dinner time. I believe an empty restaurant gives a better review than anyone can post here. How sad that such an icon should fall so low. Our family loves Thai food, and if I lived in Willimantic, I'd be a regular here both for dining in and takeout as there are not other Thai options in the neighborhood. But, compared to other Thai restaurants, this was just okay. There were pros and cons with each dish. The Pad See Eew was pretty good and well executed, though the dinner portion was a little on the small side. The flavor of the Thai Basil dish was very nice, but perhaps a bit heavy handed with the fish sauce. The Kai Ka Prow, one of their specialties, had an ample amount of protein, but the bone in the ground chicken and eggshells from the fried egg really detracted from an otherwise tasty dish. We easily found street parking on a rainy night, and the staff seemed eager to please. Our dishes arrived to the table somewhat staggered - I suspect the kitchen is small, and the casual atmosphere leads me to believe they do a lot of takeout vs. dining in. read more

We ordered 3 meals to be delivered all of which came with rice, one was specifically a fried rice meal the other 2 stated that they came with rice. Those two meals were delivered with no rice! We called to let them know and after we had the meals delivered we were asked to come pick up the rice if we wanted it. We were charged a $5.99 delivery fee which I feel they should have offered to reimburse since we ended up having to drive to the restaurant to get the remaining part of our order that they never included in the bag! My wife and I set out to run some errands in Willi and then get some dinner. A few minutes later we quickly spotted Pho Delight, circled around to park, and headed on in. The friendly staff greeted and seated up immediately. Their dining room and bar areas were tidy and comfortable with about a dozen tables, and they were doing a pretty decent business for a cold and rainy Wednesday night. The menu had a familiar mix of Thai dishes, along with a section of soups and various kinds of pho. We decided to keep things familiar for a first visit, ordering appetizers of spring rolls and coconut shrimp, and for entrees a bowl of beef pho and yellow chicken curry, all to share. The appetizers came out quickly and piping hot straight from the fryer. Spring rolls were crunchy with a fresh veggie filling, accompanied by the usual sweet-and-fishy dipping sauce. Coconut shrimp really smelled and tasted like fresh coconut and were also perfectly cooked with a clean shrimpiness; their dipping sauce was a sriracha-infused mayo. The pho was a generous bowl of broth, noodles, scallions, cilantro, and beef slices, with the customary accompaniments of basil, bean sprouts, sliced hot peppers, and a lime wedge. The yellow curry was a rich coconut-milk based sauce swimming with slices of chicken, onions, carrots, and potatoes, along with a side of jasmine rice. Both entrees were simply terrific, executed and seasoned perfectly with a clean, clear mouth feel. Chatting with our server we learned that the restaurant had been here for a few years, but very recently was sold to a new owner who redecorated the dining room and redesigned the menu. That owner, a young man named Sitta, introduced himself and told us of his upbringing in southern Thailand and subsequent graduate studies in China (he speaks English well, along with Mandarin and his native Thai). When I mentioned that it seemed out of place for a Thai restaurant to serve pho, he reassured us that pho is common street food in Thailand, and that their Thai version is generally simpler and has fewer ingredients than Vietnamese pho. I guess you learn something new every day -- in any case, the pho here is delicious and can compete with any similar soup I've ever had. All in all a great experience and we're going to have to dine here again and explore the menu more deeply. Highly recommended... I just hope that success doesn't overwhelm and spoil this little gem. read more

Seeking shelter between cloud bursts AND feeling a bit peckish, we stopped in at this lovely restaurant. The outside seating was moist, but inside we were nice and dry and well cared for. Service was swift and pleasant. Water was filled and refilled. We savoured shrimp spring rolls with a wonderful peanut sauce and a sweet chili sauce as dipping options. Pho Delight is an amazing Thai restaurant in downtown Willimantic, not too far from UConn and ECSU. There is a public parking lot across the street and I've never struggled to find a spot there. The interior is really cute and the service is always great. We went in about 40 minutes before closing and felt a little bad, but our servers were very kind and even included two extra summer rolls in our takeout order. Our food is always so amazing and fresh, and the portion sizes are great. I also highly recommend the Thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea. I have so enjoyed my deliveries from your restaurant before but tonight was a horrible disappointment. First, the summer rolls. Still not sufficiently tightly rolled. They explode and are unpleasant to try to eat. Two rice paper wraps would help. Second and most importantly my order of chicken pad thai, perhaps the most iconic and easily known by Americans was a complete disappointment. It was dry, no sauce and dry dry dry, and the chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. I threw the chicken away. Ever heard of velveting? Might help. And that peanut dust you apply? From what century?? No flavor whatsoever. I probably won't order from you again because I'm not going to throw good money after bad. What a shame. I hope you take this review to the kitchen and work to do better. I used to cook for a living and would never have served such a poor meal to my clients. Shame. PS cilantro? Heard of it?? Try using that too! Btw, I just received a phone call from the owner, blaming me for the poor experience on me for not reaching out to them before posting a review on Yelp. They would've offered a replacement meal because my criticism was based on my personal preferences, not at all their lack of adequate performance.
