We ordered 2 orders of summer rolls which were delicious and our waters were consistently refilled. I ordered a rice dish- pork chop and egg. It came with a bowl of broth which was hot and flavorful. The pork chop was a good size and while a little tough to cut with the butter knife provided, it was also very good. Would definitely recommend coming here and I plan on coming back to try the pho but the broth itself was promising! Pho Factory was one of the first restaurants we discovered after we moved here a few years back and we still come back occasionally. It's never crowded here and you will never have to wait for a table. In my opinion, the best dish here are what they call crispy fried squids (Muc Chien Gion), perhaps better known as calamari. The squid are coated with a pleasing (cornmeal?) batter and are touched up with bits of green onion and accompanied by a most excellent dipping sauce. This dish is really delicious and I'm wild about it. The thin-cut pork chop dish is also excellent. It comes with a fried egg, rice, salad greens and a great dipping sauce. Another great dish is the shaky beef. While the chicken pho is very good here, it does not compare to Pho 75's pho. But then again, nobody has better pho than Pho 75. Pho Factory's chicken pho comes with noodles, green onion, white/yellow onion and cilantro. You can have Pho Factory hold any of these toppings if you wish. Next time, in addition to holding the cilantro, I'm going to ask that they hold the white/yellow onion. The skinny slices aren't cooked and don't add anything to the pho. As is typical in Vietnamese restaurant, you pay at the end up at the counter. I can't wait to come back for more crispy fried squid. I wanted to like this one better, considering all the reviews. It's really a 3.5 star pho restaurant, with really good service and a very clean atmosphere. I'm a pho snob, although this is my first pho in NoVA. The broth isn't anything special and it certainly isn't sweet or memorable. Enough Sriracha sauce can fix most problems in a broth by drowning out the taste (or lack thereof) with heat, but the meat still wasn't what I would consider tender. The best Pho place that I've found is in Maryland (Pho Real), so everything gets rated by that standard. The service was really good. The Latino server was really good at getting me a close as possible to my intended order. He's the main reason why I rated this 4 instead of 3 stars. I actually appreciated the plastic chopsticks that they gave me, as opposed to the disposable kind. I guess I'll finish by saying it was weird to me to see so few options for pho bowls from a place called Pho Factory. 2 single steak options, 1 everything meat, then chicken, then vegetable, then others... The pho here is good because their meat is tender and tastes fresh. However EVERY time we come in, there's always an issue. First time we came in and paid with credit card. They didn't give us a bill and only the total. They didn't tell us they charge us tip on it already (they picked the tip $$) so we tipped on top of it. When we realized that, we asked for the second tip to be refunded and they refused. Second time, they said they were closing early so we felt rushed to eat our food. Tonight, same thing. A really good viet place with quality ingredients and a great price too! I got the Combo Rice noodle bowl and a fried Egg roll. It came with some sauce on the side (sweet/salty/umami). They chop up the egg roll which is nice. And you get a very nice portion of food for the price! First time here. Its kind of tucked away next to the Latin grocery store. On a Monday night there were several dining. Prices have gone up from $12 to 14-16 for pho, but it was large, very tasty and a good balance of meats to noodles. Saw many take out orders. All the servers spoke Spanish, you have to just get up and pay your bill at the counter when you are done. They don't bring the check to the table. Surprised to find Pho Factory probably makes my favorite bowl of pho in the area, despite the name. Hidden away in a little corner of the plaza past the Korean BBQ place - really damn good Vietnamese food with all the staples. Pho itself: Plenty of aromatic spices, well cleaned vegetables, and plenty of meat that isn't just paper thin. It's a little on the lighter side of broths I've had, but I was surprised I could wolf it down without even trying. If you get takeout and put it in the fridge, you can see the ring of fat rise to the top - there's plenty of bones used to make this bad boi! Everything else I've had here has been solid as well, from the mi xao don/crispy egg noodles to the egg rolls/cha gio. I ended up stopping by on a whim in the area for other business, but 100% making the drive straight here every time I'm craving pho. read more

Pho Factory used to be our go-to for Vietnamese carryout. We recently ordered 2 orders of goi cuon, lemongrass curry chicken and crispy fried tofu. The goi cuon had one halved shrimp, a little lettuce and noodles with a thick pasty peanut sauce. Both main dishes were extremely hot because they contained jalapeños, which we've never had in the past. The onions used were the outside layers making them papery and inedible. The tofu was in very large chunks and coated with something akin to breading, appeared to be precut frozen tofu and definitely weren't crispy. The vegetables accompanying the tofu were jalapeños rather than the usual green peppers and stringy onions that were already mentioned. The delicacy of both dishes failed miserably. We wound up throwing most of the expensive order away. We wondered if this restaurant is under new ownership since the experience was a significant divergence from our usual one. YUM! I have visited this place twice so far, once for takeout and once to dine in. This place is as good as it gets for pho in the Alexandria area. I feel like there is a lot of good competition out there, but this has to be one of the best. The bad: Parking is rough! We stopped by on a Friday around 8 PM and the parking was all taken. We ended up parking near the grocery market nearby. I also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee which was okay. The good: I ordered the seafood pho, which was super tasty. The broth was very savory and I loved how much variety of seafood that was in my soup. I also ordered the taro smoothie that was really good but this took awhile to come out, I got it towards the end of my meal. We have another winner for Pho in Alexandria! This place is awesome, don't let the exterior and location scare you away. It's located in a very busy shopping area with restaurants and other businesses around. Parking can be a little difficult to find during rush hour but luckily around 6pm we got a spot right in front of the restaurant. The servers are very friendly and the inside of the restaurant was clean. Okay let's get down to the PHO.. I decided to order summer rolls as usual and they never seem to disappoint me. The thing about their summer rolls compared to offer places was the shrimp was actually warm and I enjoyed that. Warm shrimp with peanut sauce is sooo yummy. House Combination Pho- I decided to get the house combo without the tendon because homie don't eat that! I judge my pho by the broth before I add all my fixin's inside. The broth was very clean and not oily like other places. That was a big WHOA because it was such a pleasant tasting broth. The rare steak wasn't fatty either which is a big plus and the brisket was soft and tender. I really enjoy their pho and I'll definitely be back again. I asked for extra peanut sauce for the roll. When I arrived my order was ready so I went to check out and found that instead of being $16.10 my order cost $23.50. Turns out the prices shown on yelp were way ooff, especially the pho($16.00) instead of $9.95. That's a huge difference, while the roll was $5.50 instead of $4.95. The guy taking my payment just shrug it off and offered no apology or remedy.
