Long overdue review cuz this place has been my go to Vietnamese spot for yearsss. I usually get it take out and love how quick it takes for my order to be ready. Their charbroiled pork spring rolls are my absolute fav. I've had some from other good rated spots and imo none have been as good. The pork here is flavorful and tender with minimal fat and the vegetable fillings are so fresh. I've also recently been getting the rice porridge with chicken pretty often. Kinda random cuz Ive never been a porridge person but my mom was randomly in the mood for porridge and got it and we were both wowed by how flavorful it was. Love how much chicken is in it and love when I get a piece of the caramelized onion topping. Another fav dish is the garlic filet mignon with the special rice. This rice is soo good, it has like a buttery taste to it and is esp yummy with the soy garlic sauce from the meat poured onto it. The filet is tender and flavorful. Tbh I haven't gotten their pho or vermicelli in a while just cuz I've been gravitating to either the porridge or filet but I also loved those as well. read more

This is my local go-to spot for pho and egg rolls. I'm sure there are "better" places in Westminster or Fountain Valley but for Irvine, Pho Ha Noi has always been a staple. I usually dine in and while there isn't much of an ambiance, there are lots of tables and a few comfy booths. Service is prompt and efficient. Expect a steaming hot bowl of pho just a few minutes after you're seated!! It's located in the Cypress Village plaza, next to Starbucks. Average banh mi. Eggrolls were better. Was craving Vietnamese, so ordered from here. Got the grilled pork banh mi, which had a good amount of pork, but otherwise flavors were mild. Was craving more pickled veggies. Also got the cha gio/eggrolls. The fish sauce was good, and all the veggies that came to wrap them were also fresh. I came here with my family and ordered the vermicelli bowl. The food came out very quickly and although it was convenient, it made me question how fresh it was. Unfortunately, the flavor tasted a bit off. The vermicelli bowl consisted of mostly veggies so I thought this was a bit overpriced from what I'm used to. The customer service wasn't the greatest but wasn't too bad either. When we would ask for something, there wasn't a verbal response however they did get what we needed. I appreciated the help however it left me feeling their interaction was impersonal and they should've been a bit friendlier. I would say the place is very clean. I often come here when I'm craving hot pho soup. Their broth is good enough to enjoy but I still prefer the pho locations at Westminster. Given that this one is located in Irvine and close to the freeway ramp in Kohls and Albertsons plaza it is good enough. Their spring rolls aren't good like Brodard but their fried egg rolls are delicious. Service is good and I can see it's a family owned place. Sometimes when I come here it is packed and you have to wait outside as there's minimal space to wait indoors. Dining area isn't as large as typical restaurants but it is quite clean. There's no Yelp waitlist so you have to out your name on a paper list and wait for their staff to call you. read more

The food here is about what you'd expect from a standard pho spot. The menu has a good variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes, though the flavors are pretty simple. I usually go with the pho ga, it's reliable and hits the spot, but the broth-to-noodle ratio can be a little inconsistent at times. The service is ok. I came in with my family and the server got our order wrong. It would have been fine if he had written it down in the first place AND if he didn't come back out after the another server dropped off our dishes to tell us that we were wrong. He asked why we would order something we didn't want when this obviously wasn't what happened. Instead of bringing out the correct bowl of pho (Tai instead of chicken), his solution was to offer a small bowl of the pho tai broth. I appreciate the effort in not wasting a whole bowl but this entire situation could have turned out and been handled differently. When we walked in, I noticed the freshness, vibrant colors of the walls, and cleanliness of the restaurant. They offer a wide selection of Vietnamese food with rice and noodle dishes. I really enjoyed the fried egg roll appetizer. It came with fish sauce and very fresh veggies! The egg rolls are distinctive here and an absolute must try. It's white and wrapped/fried in rice paper instead of the traditional golden brown egg roll you normally see at other places. It's a MUST order! The pho broth is very, very flavorful. I didn't use sriracha or hoisin sauce. I actually finished most of the soup when I normally leave the broth.. if I like to sip on the broth alone, that really means something. Yeah, it's really good. Tastes different than other pho places. My order came with a lot of meat and tendon in the broth too. The meat is soft and tender, also juicy. Not dried or skimpy like other pho restaurants. I will definitely come back soon since it's right next to my best friend's place in Irvine. Especially since the weather out is cold now, we will definitely enjoy pho here all winter.. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and the food has always been consistent and delicious. I usually order the pho tai (with rare steak) or pho tai gan (with rare steak and tendon). I will say in my recent visits I noticed that they don't really give a lot of noodles compared to other pho places, but I personally can't eat too much in one sitting so that works out just fine for me personally (I don't like wasting food!) We were able to get our food within a few minutes of ordering. The quality of their meats is good and their vegetables are always fresh. Spit out the half cooked shrimp and hopefully my stomach can will handle that cuz I've got a long day ahead. Told myself that people eat raw shrimps and that should be fine. I used to eat here all the times when I used to live in the area, but have not visited them since I moved away years ago. Stopped by tonight for a quick bite when I was in the area. Had the vermicelli with grilled beef and shrimp. It was as delicious as I remembered it. They definitely didn't skimp on the grilled meat. Loved it that they also gave plenty of veggies. Service was good and attentive. The male sever was pleasant and quick to take order. I didn't have to wait long for food to be brought out. I also spoke with Julie, the cashier, for a bit and she was super nice and helpful. So glad I didn't read the reviews until now, at 11:00 pm, when I'm home. I may not have eaten there if I read the reviews beforehand. :) Not sure why so many bad reviews? Food was good and tasty, and plentiful. Service was also great. My only suggestion for the kitchen is to add more lemongrass to the beef and their meat before grilling for more bursting flavor. Definitely will eat there again when I'm in the area. They sat us at a booth in the back. I did not like the cushiony seats. I sat on it and sunk way down. It wasn't comfortable at all. I pulled up a chair and sat at the end of the table instead, which was much better. I ordered the rare steak pho and it was ok. The broth was nicely flavored, but it was skimpy on the rare steak. It's pretty hard to mess up pho though as long as you get the broth right. I believe you get a percentage off if you pay with cash, so bring money. read more

After our plans fell through next door we came here to have dinner. Hands down one of the best Thai ice teas I have ever had! I have never had rolls covered in a giant lettuce leaf. They were criapy and very flavorful! We also got the crispy noodles(#52 on the menu) with another plate of cut beef I can't recall the name but it was also good. The food came out quick and all at once. This restaurant really came in last minute in a great way to make us dinner. If you're in this plaza give this restaurant a look! However, one of the service staff (an older lady)made me feel very uncomfortable!! She was giving me an attitude when I asked if we could sit at a table without facing the sun. My husband and I came in to eat on 11/17 and both got food poisoning very bad. My husband has been throwing up multiple times and is having diarrhea. I feel very bad with hand and leg numbness. I also feel bloated and have stomachache. We called the restaurant and asked for a manager or an owner to discuss the issue but no one was there. The worker basically neglected to address the issue. Ehhhhhh. My girlfriend was craving pho and spring rolls so I decided why not give this place a shot since it is so close to us. I've gone here prior and only had some spring rolls (which I didn't like) but thought the place deserved another chance. We came here on Saturday evening to find an almost empty restaurant, which I'm assuming most people were going to Mokkoji Shabu Shabu next door. We got seated immediately. Once our server returned my girlfriend order #24 Pho Tai Nam Sach (Large), Goi Cuon (spring rolls), and I ordered the Com Bo Luc Lac. We also got a pot of hot tea. Our food came out very fast and I couldn't complain since we were hungry. My girlfriend said for her pho the broth tasted good, but she's had better. The spring rolls were OK. The hot tea was good. My food: - Com Bo Luc Lac: The meat was tender and tasty, as well as the onions. I wasn't a fan of the orange rice that came with it, which had the scent of coconut but tasted nothing like it. I would have preferred regular white rice. The salad that accompanied it was very dry, with a spritz of whatever dressing they put on it. Normally this dish at other restaurants would come with a soup on the side and a bowl of salt/pepper with a lemon, but this one didn't. Service was a little dry. No one came to check on us and the server just stared at us at times. Parking is plentiful, there are even charging spots super close. A motorcycle parking area is right by there as well, barricaded for safety. Good food is worth traveling far for, and I recommend making the trek to Westminster for better pho. read more
