Pho Hoa Noodle Soup is a hidden gem located conveniently off the exit to Pinole, heading towards Pinole Valley High School. The prices were fair, there were plenty of places to park, and the service was good. The prices were right for the size of the servings, and the large one was more than enough for two people. Don't eat too much if you can't feed two people. Fresh spring rolls and fried rolls were tasty starters, and they gave us a plate of mint, sprouts, and jalapeos so we could make our pho just the way we liked it. There were a lot of noodles, a good amount of meat, and the tasty broth hit the spot. They also had a range of drinks, like boba drinks and Vietnamese coffee, that were good for cooling down. There was plenty of space between seats, and it wasn't too loud. But I took away one star because we were sat in the back left corner, facing the register. This made it easy for the staff to miss us. Also, the bathroom was cooler than the rest of the room, and our drinks weren't always replaced quickly. Even with these small problems, I think you should check out Pho Hoa Noodle Soup because they serve good food and try to be the best. Leave a review and help the group of people who like food grow. I went in today to use the offer 6/14/2023 @ 11:20am The lack of knowing the promotions is non existent. And how to apply them. The customer shouldn't have to teach the employee how to use the free offer. I bought their $ 50.00 gift Father Day promotion on Friday 6/9/2023, so I could get free pho. When I went to use it the same day ,I couldn't use it. The employee can see the offer on their computer, but it doesn't let them select it for some reason. The employee says maybe have to use it next week. Next week came, and I tried to redeem the offer in the store and couldn't use it. The same excuse was said last week. They kept telling me that maybe its a franchise thing, I need a manager, and he's not here. We are different, store. Well, you should not offer it to your customer for purchase if you don't know how to apply it in store. They then told me to order it online to pay for it. So I reordered online to pay for it and still paid full price. SMDH **********FYI*********. So I figured out how to use it myself after I paid full price. After a bout of the tummy bug, my family door-dashed some chicken pho to hopefully make us feel a little better. The broth hit the spot, especially when I added a little lemon to mine. Came here with my kids, ordered a kids meal, it was super small. Note, a regular pho is about $13 dollars. When ask for extra noodles, they were rude about it, then we asked for maybe extra soup, they said another 4 dollars. Each time you order an extra soup or noodle that's an extra 4 dollars so another 8 dollars total. So the kids meal was 8 plus another 8 dollars, that's 16 dollars. you don't even get extra meat or anything. I am super dissatisfied by how they treat their customers. Was not accommodating. When ask to speak to manager, they said okay, and came back and said manager was not there. I would def order a regular pho meal next time, but how they treat the customers was def not acceptable. If you want customers back, note, it's all about the relationship, not nickel and dime everything. In the past, they were more accommodating but not today. I was feeling under the weather in these chilly temps and knew pho would be just what I needed a metaphorical warm hug. Finally decided to check this place in my 'hood out. I walked in and it took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge me....eye roll. Once they did I placed my to go order, vegetarian pho and an avocado roll, and was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I went back to my warm car to wait and it was waiting for me when I returned within that time frame. As soon as I got home I couldn't wait to dive in. The veggies, noodles, and toppings were all in separate containers so I could assemble at home for guaranteed freshness. OMG soooo much flavor it really felt like a warm hug with a little bootie rub for good measure. The avocado rolls were very yummy on their own but the peanut sauce took them to the next level. Glad to see another Vietnamese restaurant close to home. They are located in a very busy plaza in Pinole near MOD pizza. They opened during COVID so I have only placed orders for pick-up. I will say that their online ordering system is very simple and I like that they have images. I didn't realize that they have other locations across California. Of course, we had to order a bowl of combination pho. I also ordered a tofu fresh spring roll and the beef stew. And of course, when there is boba available, it is a must so we got the strawberry and avocado drinks. The pho was average in taste and flavor. The tofu spring roll was good and fresh. My husband actually ended up eating more of it than I did. Their beef stew was my least favorite because it had the least flavor. It wasn't bad, just not as flavorful and rich as most places we visit. My favorite was the avocado smoothie which they make with real avocados. This makes the smoothie thick and rich. Honestly, I could probably drink the smoothie alone and feel full. I have tried numerous pho restaurants throughout California. Felt like I needed to review after having this place a few times. I always get the same order when I come here and it is the beef stew pho with the fried rolls. They are both delicious and flavorful, they taste just how I like it to be, they couldn't make it anymore delicious than it was since it was perfect. I have made this one of the first places I go to when I'm in the mood for some pho. One thing I did have the first time coming here that I won't order again is the taro milk drink because it wasn't as sweet and flavorful as I was hoping it to be but if you like things that aren't sweet then I'd recommend that drink for you otherwise pass on it. Accept mobile pay, it appears as there was a device on the table. Also ordered viet iced coffee but forgot to take a pic. It was mostly ice but still good. Would probably request less ice next time. Noodles were good but I think more soup would have been appreciated as the container was shorter than the usual soup container we get from most pho places. This place is decent. Every time I go in for lunch, there's quite a few people there but not so many that it's too much. I see this as they're doing a good job and are popular. I've gone here and gotten pho which I thought was decent, not the best pho I've had but I would go back and have it again if I was having a pho craving and it's super convenient as it's very close to my job. Service was decent. Yesterday I got the grilled pork and fried roll vermicelli and it came as a hefty portion which I really liked and it was pretty good! Plenty of veggies, meat and vermicelli. A solid pho spot. My girlfriend and I were waiting for this spot to finally open (Covid I'm assuming delayed this one) and after months of waiting it's finally here. The menu is limited because it's soft opening (I'll be sure to update this when the full menu is available). I ended up ordering the steak and flank pho as well as ordering the fresh roll and fried roll. My girlfriend ordered the chicken pho as well as the Thai tea with boba. The Thai tea was delicious. The fresh roll was great I loved the peanut dipping sauce. The fried roll was ok but I wish it was a bit warmer. The pho was good. It had a good flavor to it and they give plenty (I ordered the regular size). I would've came back, for the sweet older lady, who was our waitress. I really didn't think much of the pho i got, the one with garlic. The meat was tough and the broth was just alright. The biggest turn-off is the younger lady at the counter. I understand she had to do a lot: clarifying people's orders, cashier, making sure orders were correct, and getting to go containers. But snappy, rude, and glaring while in front of her is just bad energy. When I paid I wanted to Order a drink she pretty much didn't want that, as she was annoyed that they had the ingredients. When she gave me a to go container she pushed it in my hand. When picking up the drink she just had a death stare. This place is so DIRTY and food doesn't taste too pleasant, the broth tasted very artificial I came here on a Saturday around 7:30pm. I had to seat myself because no one came and seated me I took a seat and waited for about 5 minutes to get the menu and a cup of water it was a short guy who took my order he was very rude to me which is very unprofessional my experience here was not very good it seemed like he didn't really know English much. I tried to understand him and I asked him if their was any dairy in the (thai tea) he said he didn't know in a very rude tone I didn't take it personal but I was expecting a better service. But didn't get that I ordered a "chicken pho" and a "thai tea boba" he served me my food and not once he came and asked me if everything was okay or if i needed anymore water because i ran out of water. The food tasted very artificial and the boba balls tasted like they were old it was very hard to chew. Food here "not good at ALL!" I'd avoid this spot honestly. I ordered a large beef stew, and then paid $4.80 for seafood extra. They gave me 1 shrimp, 2 tiny pieces of calamari and a piece of salmon that's 1" cubed. All that for almost $5 is a ripoff. The beef stew has like 5 pieces of meat in it and 4 carrots. That's it. Nothing else, just that and the noodles which was the size of a normal order of noodles anywhere else. Portions are super tiny at this place. Came during the COVID 19 pandemic and pleasantly surprised they allowed us to dine indoors! Everyone wore masks, but it was a little concerning that our server did not wear gloves while bringing us our utensils and food. Heres what I ordered: #15 Steak, Flank, Fatty Flank, Tendon and Tripe Pho: 3/5 The broth was quite heavy on the star anise, but luckily I like star anise so it did not bother me too much. The components that I did not enjoy as much were the quite al dente (almost undercooked) noodles. They were a bit hard and I wish they were cooked a little longer. Unfortunately, the meat was also a bit hard and tough to chew. Thankfully the tripe wasn't hard, it was tender and I dunked it in hoisin for a yummy bite. Summer Roll: 5/5 Refreshing, light, and healthy! Also, quite cheap! $2.50 for a roll cut in half. It has shrimp, pork, lettuce and vermicelli noodles. Comes with a tasty peanut sauce. Vietnamese Iced Coffee: 5/5 When they say "iced," they mean it! It comes with a TON of ice, almost a full cup. At first you'd think they're being cheap, but actually the coffee is flavorful and STRONG, just how I like it.
