Location & Atmosphere: This hidden gem is tucked inside a small strip mall on Anaheim Blvd and E Water St. I came here for lunch after searching for a pho place near my work area. The restaurant is small and cozy, with about eight tables that can seat up to five people each. There's a shared parking lot outside for the plaza tenants, and right next door you'll find a hair salon, laundry shop, and a video store -- giving it that classic neighborhood charm. Food Experience: I ordered the rare steak, well-done brisket, and meatball pho. Since I don't like rare steak, I asked the lady working there if she could have it cooked for me, and she was very nice and accommodating. My food came out within five minutes, hot and fresh. The pho noodles were the thin kind, which I personally love. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and although the steak was a little overcooked, the overall taste was still great and satisfying. Service & Overall Thoughts: The staff here are friendly, fast, and helpful, which makes the experience even better. I really want to show support for this small local business and hope they continue serving great food and excellent service. If you're in the area and craving a comforting bowl of pho, this is a nice hidden spot worth checking out!

Fantastic meal. Just what we needed after our 7 hour journey from Northern California. We had the fresh spring rolls, pork, shrimp egg roll noodle plate and pho with rare beef. Perfect amount for 3 adults and one child, everything was fresh and really well flavored. 2 ladies putting out exceptional food from a tiny kitchen !! I highly the recommend.

Nice hole in the wall place in a small strip mall to get a quick bite. The guy at the counter was ready to take my order and had a friendly smile as I walked in to the restaurant. The grilled pork bahn mi sandwich and shrimp spring rolls were made to order while I waited for about 10 minutes. The sandwich french roll was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside with a nice amount of meat and veggies loaded on it. I found their spring rolls to be on the good side with some mint and cilantro and unexpectedly a strip of cucumber too. The peanut sauce was tasty if a bit thin. They also serve various noodle dishes and pho. Give them a try.

I came in at about 4:30-5:00 PM and found no one was there, I was just looking to get a quick meal to-go and found this little restaurant close by where i work. I walked into the restaurant, the AC was blasting but it was still hotter than the summer day on the outside. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and the fresh spring rolls. Considering the pricing, I have to give it 4 stars as nothing really beats the price here, however, you could just spend an extra 3-5 dollars and get better quality elsewhere. However, this is a pho place and I didn't order pho, so possibly it might be something that they don't really "shine" on regarding their menu. I paid about 13 dollars for both. The spring roll was made fresh, albeit with possibly not so fresh ingredients as the greens inside were starting to show some oxidation and browning. Came with a peanut sauce and sambal. The banh mi was flavorful but definitely soaked in oil regarding the meat. The pickled veggies were amazing; but the unforgiving part of this meal was how hard and stale the bread seemed to be. I'm no stranger to hard banh mi bread, but this was teeth breaking stale. The staff were great, very attentive and took my order and sent it to the kitchen fast. I got my meal in about 10 minutes. Still; have to show some support to the mom and pop shops.

Had it a 2nd time - it was even better than the first. And the place had AC. Love it!

A promising new staple just entered the neighborhood!!! I drove by and noticed a new sign and decided to stop by, but the new owners were setting up and told me to come back in a week. I thought I'd be amongst the lucky firsts, but based on the other reviews, they were able to open even earlier! Upon entering, I've noticed it's really clean and they have a lot of tables to accommodate many parties for a quick lunch break. Located close to Anaheim packing district but definitely a better alternative if you consider parking, price, and value altogether. It's the perfect place to get your Vietnamese food fix! With so many options, there's really something for everyone. A must try: the egg rolls. They're cooked with the perfect crunch and served with a side lettuce/cilantro for the perfect balance. I'll definitely be coming back often to work my way through their extensive menu. Will also be frequenting this place on the way home for the quick boba and egg roll combo! So far, my recommendations are the pho, bo luc lac, and egg rolls! Don't skip the young coconut also :)

Thankfully, the line moved pretty quickly, although the bakery itself is small and can feel a bit tight inside. I got a small assortment of pastries, including the Japanini and some of their popular items: the Salt & Butter Roll, Curry Pan, and Kobo Kuma. Everything was warm, fresh, and delicious. I honestly wish I had gotten more. My kids enjoyed everything too. The only item that was a bit disappointing was the Sea Salt Taro Latte. It was a little too milky and sweet for my taste. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more items from their delicious menu!

Parking, however, due to the other popular neighboring restaurants can pose a challenge. There was a line forming, but it goes by quickly and the drinks seem prebatched to save time. Even if that was the case, their drinks are amazing. My recommendations are their Double Matcha, Matcha Einspanner, and their Pandan Coffee. All are excellent choices and the sweetness level is a good ratio for me. I kept my matcha at a regular sweetness and it was perfect. Any less, the bitter taste may be too strong for me, so I enjoyed it. The service was fast, and the matcha was definitely up to my standard. Upon walking in, my jaw dropped at how gorgeous and atmospheric the entire place was. It looked like nearly everything was custom made for the cafe, and made with love and tons of detail. There's a super cute little nook in the corner where you can chill secretly with your friends, beautiful tabletops for both board games, reading (from their small library), and cafe enjoyment, tons of hanging immersive decorations, and wall features that make it look like you're in a fantasy universe. Though the lighting is dim and colored, there's also enough proper light source to conduct any activity. Their bathrooms also have bidets. Should you want to dine outside, there's an outdoor themed patio. And if you want to game, there's a cyber cafe. The Final Fantasy collab was represented in mainly the entire menu change and cutout decor photo-ops. The menu had items that you'd expect to see straight out of a cartoon, and as suspected, existed more for aesthetics than taste; our drinks were too sweet and a bit more watered down than desired. If the refreshments matched the level of quality of the interior, this would for sure be a perfect cafe. While waiting for your order, it's fun to peruse the item shop, which had a lot of various trinkets and local artist merchandise. For the overly decorated areas, it seems you need to make a reservation to actually utilize the space, as there are strict usage requirements to aid in the upkeep and preservation of the effects. While inconvenient, I can see this is in place to keep the cafe continuously clean and beautiful. Even though I'd go elsewhere to eat or drink something good, it's worth supporting this business for the photos and vibes. I've never seen anything quite like Requiem Cafe, and I respect the effort and vision that went into this place.
