It lasted me for two days. The beef cubes in the sauce needed to be packaged in a well sealed disposable take out carton because it leaked through the entire bag and the disposable take out boxes. For take out orders, I feel that salad vinagrette and especially sauce for the beef cubes needed to be put in seperate well sealed take disposable cartons. I've been coming here for years, and this used to be one of my favorite spots. The place has been under new ownership for about a year now, and while the new owners are very nice and friendly, it's just not the same anymore. The biggest difference is the quality of the meat. It used to be fresh and consistently delicious, but now it doesn't taste like the same quality at all. It's really disappointing because this was a place I visited often and recommended to friends and family. I was looking for great coffee !! It seemed like all great coffee spots were far away but then I ran into this place. After reading reviews, I decided this was worth a try. I was trying to find Vietnamese with egg cream but nothing nearby. Well let me tell you, the coffee at this place did not disappoint. It was great !! Be forewarned though, it's strong ! If you're not a true coffee drinker, you will not like it. I love espresso drinks and don't like mild watered down coffee drinks and this drink can easily be shared. It strong. Cost effective and fast Vietnamese food in Anaheim. It's located in a parking lot with lots of stores and vehicle + foot raffic but it's very easy to find a parking spot. We wanted something fast and lunch was impromptu, this was cheaper, just as fast, and healthier than fast food. Called over the phone and when I arrived 10 minutes later my order was being bagged. Interior is small but charming. It's not modernized at all in a good way and still has a nice 90s vibe. Egg rolls: these are much larger than normal egg rolls and come "plain" with only fish sauce for dipping. We cut these in half and basically got 6 normal size egg rolls at other restaurants. Tasted good and they popped the corner out of the to go container to keep them from steaming. Still crispy and nice when we got home. BBQ chicken and shrimp rice combo: not sure what the difference was with this and grilled chicken but the chicken had a distinct yellow color and tasted grilled with lemongrass. Shrimps were also well cooked and this did come with a side of tomatoes and cucumbers. Pho Tai Nam: they offer a small and large size, the small size is already ridiculously large and I remember when I was younger people tried to "compete" by finishing the large size, no more of that as we got older. Went 4/18/26 It was lunch time and I was in the area and looking for Vietnamese restaurant. Thanh Binh show up in my map and conveniently on way to freeway so I stopped in. First impression as I walked, small place good AC and clean. It was hot day and the AC was cold. I ordered the grilled pork chop as seen on the sign on the window. Actual food came out looking exactly like the photo and that was pretty good. It was tasty. I asked for chili paste for the fish sauce and server brought it out in a squeeze bottle and it was chilled as if it came out of refrigerator for freshness. Most Vietnamese restaurants just have it sitting in condiment bowl for who knows how long. I just had water and have to say they used filtered water or something with fresh lemon slices that was ice cold, so refreshing. It was a hot day. The service was great, the young lady checked in and topped off my water couple times. Overall very welcoming place, I would recommend and would come again if I was in the area. I love this place so much. Been a loyal customer since 2016. They're friendly, you don't have to wait long for a table, they have a good sized menu, and they have great food. I tend to get their steak pho or sometimes the chicken pho; both are tasty. Their fried rice and egg rolls are also really good and both are a large portion. My family and I were looking for a place to eat on New Year's day and I recalled eating here years and years ago on Thanksgiving and remembered it was delicious so I suggested we go again. I've had others where it taste like faucet water, but not here. The shrimp tasted fresh and the meat no fat on it. (Exactly how I prefer it) The woman that's typically behind the counter is attentive, and amazing at her job. Ordering in the restaurant for to-go orders will take about 15 min but it's worth it. I have to say though, the strip mall that it resides in is very run down. We thought for sure that the prices would be cheaper. Not only was it not cheaper, but it is more expensive that Pho places in Irvine! Where you KNOW the rent for them is way more expensive. So it was puzzling to see the prices as they were. Quick review of this spot which I was happy to find near my office. I wanted some pho ga (chicken pho) during this rainy weather and found this spot. It's always a little suspect getting pho to go because of how the noodles and broth get colder but this held up. The broth was quite flavorful which was nice as some pho ga is just a plain chicken broth with a little salt. The chicken itself comes in slices and is little dry. They'd be better off shredding the chicken but it wasn't a big deal for me. Plenty of toppings and they added a chili oil along with the sriracha which was really good. I have been on a bun bo hue kick. I am always trying to find an establishment that makes this spicy beef noodle soup as good as my mom. Unfortunately, it fell a bit short. The soup was a bit bland, which then made the noodles bland. However, the beef they added was really good and they provided a decent amount. I was pleasantly pleased. The service was really good. She was very attentive and asked if I wanted extra basil and lime. That almost never happens at a Vietnamese restaurant. For the service itself, I would return. The menu is not as extensive as most I have seen, which is smart for a restaurant. Went over here as we were looking for lunch before an interview and found this next to the in n out. It was empty so service was pretty fast but the food got what it's worth was not enough or seasoned. I was quite disappointed that the large combo bowl was 60+% broth and tripe and the other meats were below even the amount of the noodles which was maybe a quarter if that of the bowl. Meat wasn't even seasoned nor took the flavor of the broth and veggies well so it was quite bland. Also the Kha Gio rolls for the same price I received 3 and other places were able to stack the plate with at least 6+ so a little sad there. Overall aight but I'm sure there can be better not only here but elsewhere. Perhaps I came on a bad day and need to revisit but jury is still out. read more
