Came here for a little lunar new year celebration with my coworkers. While some dim sum places can be a bit intimidating, this one was so nice and low-pressure! We ordered mostly seafood options (I'm a pescatarian) but all of them were incredible. The staff was warm, responsive, and helpful when our table was struggling to decide what to eat. Everything was delicious - my favorites were the shrimp dim sum, whole fish, and water spinach (so basically all of it). The place's decor is simple but comfortable and the restaurant is right inside of the Far East Center where you can grab groceries after! Will have to bring more of my friends here in the future. The Pho was amazing! I've tried many phoe places and for the Vegetarian Pho they use a mushroom broth; it's amazing! The spring rolls were delicious; the peanut sauce is spicy but still delicious. Tried this place when they first changed to Pho Hong and the pho and dim sum were great. Went back this week and I don't know what's happened. The dim sum was pretty low quantity. Tried 6 different dim sum dishes and all of them were just ok. The baked buns had the oddest sugar glaze on them. The steamed rice rolls were downright awful - the beef inside had more flour than beef in the mixture. But what was worst was the pho. Completely tasteless. It's like they don't know what dim sum or pho is supposed to taste like. Service left a lot to be desired as well. Had to flag down someone to place our order, and then had to flag down someone again to pay our bill. read more

We stumbled over the restaurant located in the Far East Center because we wanted to check out the bakery next door. Pho Hong is currently in its SOFT OPENING phase. It's on the spot of the former China Jade Seafood restaurant. It had a very bright, clean and modern interior vibe. Staff is friendly and quick to seat you and take your orders from the large menu. All the staff made gets aware of the fact that due to Phô Hong's soft opening, not all dishes on the extensive menu were available, yet. Regardless, there are a lot (!) of dishes available already. We chose from the two pages of different Phó and were not disappointed. A beefy flavored broth with a lot of meat and tenderest tendon was my choice and just delish! This was accompanied by a large mound of sprouts, basil, jalapeños, limes and greens. Lovely. The house made lemonade was excellent. I was just looking for basic Chinese/American food and found this place on accident trying to find the precious business here. They have Chinese/American, Peking Duck, and Vietnamese food on the menu now, and will be launching Dim Sum and some other styles soon. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken. It was pretty good, but not great. The 5-star rating is for the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the quality of the chili oil on the table. Must say this is one of the best pho places I've been to in Denver. Their food is extremely authentic and fresh. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you're getting. I ordered for take out and they had the food ready within 15 minutes and the host offered me water while I waited! :) I got a chicken pho with extra vegetables and was able to have some for lunch and then dinner. This place is amazing! Our absolute favorite Pho place. We drive 30 plus minutes for the flavor and fantastic service. They have a wide selection of buns, all good. Pineapple is my favorite. The staff is friendly and the service was quick. The just had their grand opening and have a full menu with many Vietnamese and Chinese food options. I got the beef short ribs with rice but my parents got pho and it looked and smelled delicious. Not only did the pho smell good, they gave you plenty of meat in it as well. The ambiance is average and feels family style but it is decorated cute. The food more than makes up for what the ambiance may lack. I had never had Vietnamese coffee and wanted to try it. The waiter explained the process and how to drink it. I would highly recommend it if you love coffee. It was amazing, and I have craved it since. When you enter into the parking lot you feel as though you have transported to Vietnam. Visiting my son here, I wanted to specifically try the Dim Sum here, despite the Dim Sum listing is not as extensive as some other Dim Sum places nearby. Ordered the baked BBQ bun which to me was the best one so far I had tried in town, with the right amount of pork filling and taste. This is far better than Star Kitchen and Empress. I would also give the Egg Tart 5 stars which has a nice flaky crust. Shrimp Rice Noodle Crepe was excellent with the right touch of crepe softness and soy sauce sweetness. The lotus leaf glutinous rice was pleasant with decent quality . Sesame Ball with red bean paste inside was fine and not too sweet. Sweet Rice Pork Dumpling and Xiu Mai I would rate them 4 stars. Steamed BBQ Pork Bun was also fine; but personally I would like a bit less dough. I made the mistake of ordering the wonton soup; the wontons they make are essentially like the pork xiu mai in soup, and I would have like more shrimp mixed with the pork. I would have liked to try the shrimp +/- cilantro or leek dumplings, as well as the ginger/scallion tripe, pork pot stickers, fried shrimp ball, turnip cake and spare ribs w/black bean sauce; these would be on my next hit list! I ordered the salted fish fried rice due to the rave reviews by a recent reviewer. Fried rice was light (non sticky) and fragrant, and the taste did not disappoint. The taste is different from the traditional Cantonese salted fish and chicken fried rice which I am used to. They use tiny dried shrimp and small cubed fried fish cake or fish tofu for flavor which I liked. Also ordered the Vietnamese spring roll to go for my wife which was up to par with generous container of the peanut dipping sauce. Me and my son both ordered the Iced Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk. Coffee taste was strong and intense, and pretty damn good! That's one of the best Vietnamese coffees I've had so far. Last of all, the restaurant was clean and unpretentious. All the staff were pleasant and friendly, as noted by multiple previous reviewers. I can definitely tell that they put so much attention and quality of dishes. We gave this new restaurant a try and it certainly did not disappoint. They're still in the soft opening stage so they don't have everything on the menu yet. However, there were still a lot of options. We ordered bun Bo hue, grilled pork rice plate, egg rolls, and chicken pho (for the kids). All the flavors were delicious and they gave you very generous servings. The vegetable and herbal garnishes were fresh. Egg rolls didn't come with lettuce but they provided us some when we asked. They did a great job with renovating the interior space. It's clean and bright and welcoming, a big difference from the old space. Also all the staff were friendly and very attentive.
