The pho broth is not the best but better than most so it should be above average. The low rating is for the meat that comes with the rice plate. The grilled chicken was super dry and hard and lukewarm. Don't know how long that chicken has been cooked but it was definitely old. These restaurants need to stop precoooking thier grilled meats. They dont realized that if you precooked these grilled meats and let it sit for hours it'll loose its freshness, the moist, the juicy, the texture. Everything just goes down hill. Best pho on the south side! I get the #2 it's bomb af! My gf gets the #19 and honestly the chicken broth is super amazing if I could order the chicken broth with the beer toppings I would! Don't forget to get the egg rolls they serve it with a Thai chili sweet sauce instead of a pickled veg sauce but still good! Their pho, fried spring rolls and rice plates are very good. Parking is easy and the service is pleasant and quick. I usually go during lunch and the place is never packed. During my last visit, I ordered the avocado shake with boba which they said was freshly made. First time here after moving to south San Jose and looking for a new go to Pho spot. Looks like I found the one. Got the Tai Chin with extra meatball. Portion was huge for a large, slightly bigger than pho thao bay. Felt like there was endless meat which I loved. Broth was tastier than I've had at other pho places. Very solid Pho, for South San Jo, without having to make the trek to the east side. Admittedly, Pho Y#1, on Capitol Expressway is still my ultimate go-to-place for pho. That being said, Pho LA at Santa Teresa and Snell (next to Nob Hill) does not disappoint, and they also serve other Vietnamese plate dishes as well as typical Chinese noodle dishes and soups. However, no banh mi sandwiches on their menu, which kinda sucks. Service is somewhat spotty, with some employees extremely helpful and others somewhat rude, unwelcoming, and impatient. I will continue to patronize this establishment for convenience, but I do wish they'd learn to be a bit nicer! Solid overall. read more

Awesome Viet food for being in South SJ. Definitely better than the other spot next to Pizza Hut. I highly recommend the Pho, but if you're on a diet, they let you sub mixed veggies for rice at no charge. They don't give much sides for the pho, but you can ask for more at no charge as well. My fiancé and I love the food here. I never expect amazing service here cuz that's extremely rare at pho places haha so skipping over that part. I always get the steak pho and it's great comfort food, also one of the best tasting pho places I've had and best portions. The Medium is pretty big, I never can finish the whole thing. For a first timer here last night I have to say I'm glad I came. The restaurant was very clean, service was very attentive, and the food was great! I've been sick for the last 3 weeks with a bad cold (I work with infants so I'm constantly surrounded by these germs) and the wonton rice noodle soup (which is what I got) was so comforting for me! Broth was great and I'm not really a broth person to begin with so that definitely says something. I also ordered the mango boba tea (which I'm generally not a fan of) but I really liked it! I was happy that a Pho place opened up by our house. I'm happier now that we tried this place and it is pretty darn good. We were seated promptly and we were not rushed to place our order like you are in so many other Pho joints. The pho was tasty, fresh and the serving very plentiful. I had the combination #1 Pho and it was as packed with tons of ingredients and the same with my bro and wife's Pho. Nice environment with real plants and not too tacky.
