Stopped by Pho To Thi on a cold Sunday evening for a warm bowl of pho. It's a good sized location with plenty of space and booth seating. I got my usual, brisket and rare flank. The broth is okay, slightly onion-y and there was plenty beef. Overall it was a decent bowl of pho. The service was pretty good, our server would check in and even brought another pot of tea for us. Used to come here a lot about 10 or 15 years ago but haven't been back. This place just popped up in my search for Pho and wanted to give it a try again. We were seated right away and I was very happy to see a kids bowl on the menu. As a toddler parent, it awesome seeing restaurants supporting families with kid options. I can definitely say it was toddler approved. I liked my bowl too and the egg rolls were perfectly crispy. If we dont want to venture far for pho, this will be on our short list of places to go to. read more

Plenty of room and quick to sit, easily accommodated us in a booth. I thought the Mongolian beef hit the spot. It's often harder to find in most Chinese food chains, albeit this is a Vietnamese Pho place. Not too spicy and the rice goes well with it. Good fried egg rolls (shrimp and pork), although they do come with the less sweet (and more vinegar) dipping sauce. Will definitely consider next time I'm in San Jose for dinner. read more

Ordered the beef pho. The broth had a gentle and pleasant flavor - clearly cooked from real beef bones. In a San Jose full of cheap pho broths, this place was a refreshing. I will be back to try some other menu items. Be sure to order a large and extra meat if you are hungry. read more

Local gem! The broth stands out versus other pho places we've been to - it's consistently delicious, and the meat and noodles are both solid. Spring rolls (both veg and shrimp) are clean and the peanut sauce is addictive. We tried the Shaking Beef in our last visit, and were also really impressed with the tenderness and flavor. All food has always been fantastic here. I first began visiting Pho To Thi ~12 years ago, and after moving away and back again to San Jose, I was delighted to see they had made it through the pandemic. It's a small, unassuming restaurant, with very friendly service who'll graciously give you space to enjoy your meal. Great spot! read more

Great small family owned business. They are always friendly and the service is fast. I always get the pho with chicken- yum! My son loves the egg rolls. They now have banh mi sandwiches. Nice clean place. Very accommodating since my wife and I were getting on our lunch from work so we called to ordered ahead. Most places don't let you but they did so we when we got there, we were seated and shortly after received our food. I got the pho combination and my wife got the grilled pork vermecelli. Portions are big and filling. My pho was delicious and my wife enjoyed her bowl. read more

I love to try different Vietnamese Restaurants, so I checked out Pho To Thi. I ordered take out and got B4. Which is egg roll, shrimp and pork vermicelli dish. This was so good. Everything was perfectly cooked. I always get spring rolls and these are some of the best I have had in San Jose. I loved the peanut sauce that came with it. This is a really late update but I didn't know they rent out the space on the side for 20 people party. Not the best but they will help curb a craving if you're in a pinch. Came in on a rainy day to check out their menu, ordered a few different things, pho, yellow noodles, some appetizers, and avocado smoothie. I could tell they felt overwhelmed because it took about 10 minutes for anyone to come give us a menu and another 15 to take our order. Even though maybe less than half of their tables were full - they probably had a lot of to-go order. Regardless, the staff were very nice. The food was okay. For the price, the portion sizes were mediocre and the taste was a little weak for my taste. However, everyone has a different profile. In a pinch or if I needed to satisfy a craving I would stop by and try it again, hopefully on a less busy day. read more

Had a great experience the last time we were here so I came here again to satisfy the craving. However, when I was attempting to order, the waitress was trying to rush me! She had her hand on the menu while i was ordering! Whats the rush?! There was only a handful of customers! Then she had to ask me again to confirm my order. Just a word of advice, don't rush your customers while they're trying to order! I normally leave a tip but with that type of service. You won't be receiving any! read more

Came here for dinner and for some pho. Spacious parking outside and not as crowded. We were seated right away Ordered pho! I enjoyed it and literally ate and drank the entire broth. Kids enjoyed their pho and we ordered a chicken rice plate. My wife said this is a good place for lunch so I assume maybe more crowded then. Would come again. read more

My first time trying this place! And ohhhh!! It was good!! Service was very friendly and welcoming, ambiance was very nice, clean! (Which is best and very important) and food was VERY GOOD! I went with my mom, grandpa and daughter... they were very happy with the food and drinks; we ordered chicken wings as appetizers (very good, fresh, crispy and good portion) , for main dishes: chicken noodle soup, sea food noodle soup and rice with beef ribs, everything was good, big portions and very tasty. For drinks, my daughter got strawberry smoothie (which she loved it), my mom got a Boba tea and grandma a lemonade ( a fresh squeezed - delicious drink!) After all it was great!! We really enjoyed our meal and drinks ! Best of all.. the bill was very good!! For the amount of food+drinks+appetizer! Strongly recommend this place! It is a great family owned restaurant and we should definitely support small businesses ... I'm 100% coming back!!! read more

Had lunch here today - this is my new favorite Pho restaurant in south San Jose. There are two other Pho restaurants nearer to my house, but they do not do as good a job making a flavorable broth as Pho To Thi. Husband and I had #6 and #11. I'm always disappointed to write bad reviews, but the food here is not good. I guess a new owner took over in the last month or so? The staff kept forgetting parts of the meal (spring rolls didn't have sauce, no spoons to eat the pho, forgot the fish sauce that goes with the noodle dish). It wasn't worth it at all. I was really bummed out to try a new place, but the pho lacked all flavor, the meat was scarce, the noodles were literally noodles pork and cucumbers with fried onions from a can, and it just was not a good experience, unfortunately. There's much better places to eat in San Jose. Skip this one. It's empty for a reason. read more

We ordered from here yesterday (first time) and I wasn't impressed sadly. I ordered the steak pho but what I got was not what I ordered (or thought what I would get) and I was very disappointed. Not sure what the dried meat was but it was not what I ordered. When I order from others places in the area I usually get the Filet Mignon thinly sliced (bottom part of photo) but with this order there was like maybe about 4-5 pieces and the rest was whatever the top portion of the photo was. The drinks didn't take too long to come out either. I got the dragons kiss at 0% sweetness and it was still sweet enough. It is a strawberry and dragonfruit tea with strawberry jelly which was refreshing and tasty. I like the strawberry jelly as well because it was shaped like the typical lychee jelly. I wish there was a zero sweetness option for the matcha drinks. Their strawberry shortcake matcha and Banana brown sugar matcha latte were both pretty sweet even at low sweetness. I also felt that the matcha was overpowered by the strawberry shortcake flavor. If you like drinks on the sweeter side, you will enjoy the drinks.

They also have some free table tablet type games to play while you wait. I was greeted warmly and the young lady behind the counter was supper patient when it took me so long to pay, there was a ton of options on a bright and easy to read menu. I ordered an oolong milk tea with honey boba (decided to stick with a classic for my first time) it was the perfect amount of sweetness and the boba was perfect. There was one employee working and I asked her if she could make the drinks a little less sweet. She said she would. We looked for a place to sit and wait for our drinks. Ordered the Lychee Misty (50% sweet). The tea was very bitter. Didn't really taste the lychee, it was a small hint and a very strong Chrysanthemum tea taste. I know I got 50% sweet, but the tea was so bitter and left like a weird after coating and I couldn't get myself to continue drinking the tea. Possibly other drinks taste better and maybe the foods as well, that I didn't try.

My boyfriend got a 0% sweet milk tea and enjoyed it. I also got a fragrance ornament (you drop the scent oil on top and you can get it in 2 scents, I got the pear one) and a cute bunny plushie clip/drink holder and surprisingly it was only $4. I've seen boba places charge more for their merch. Really love how Ume has a lot of merch that's unique and affordable, ranging from stickers, plushies, tumblers, collab items, and much more.
