So far in Boise, this has been the best place in town. It is a bit pricey compared to other Pho joints, but the cleanliness and especially the customer service were beyond my expectations. I can't recall how often I come across unfriendly servers (until they found out that I'm Viet, and then they become a little nicer), but this place sets the par for all Vietnamese restaurants. I would gladly pay a little extra for attentiveness and kindness from the staff. Our server was wonderful and engaging with us, and their pho broth was extremely flavorful and clean. When it comes to pho, they say it's all about the broth. Pho Le doesn't disappoint as the broth is rich and flavorful, if maybe a little on the salty side. No problem for me as everything else is top notch. Toppings were fresh and crispy, beef was tender, and the beer was cheap. I don't get much culinary diversity having lived in Montana the last 5 years, so this place is a welcome back to the big city. read more

They were friendly when they answered, had my order ready when I got there. I ordered it to go so I didn't get to enjoy the location but it seemed pretty inside. Pho-tastic! Best pho I've had here in the downtown Boise area. I've always had a go to pho place when I lived in Dallas and San Diego but not here. I'm glad I finally went to Pho Le. It's like regular pho the way it should be. Not sweat or "cinnimonny" (too much star anise) like other local places. The smell and taste bring back good memories. Small, medium, large,XL. I find it annoying going to places that have one size, especially when I'm ready to get my Pho on. *Broth. Clear and flavorful. What more can you ask for? *Quantity. When you order a Pho-tastic, you're not left staring at a couple pieces of over cooked beef, 2 meatballs and over fatty brisket. The rare beef is thinly sliced, the meatballs are plentiful, and the brisket melts in your mouth. *Atmosphere. I never shy away from a run down Vietnamese restaurant. Often their food is off the charts. That being said, Its nice eating in a clean, upscale-ish restaurant where the hoisen isnt doused in greasy finger prints and saracha isn't the only choice to spice up your soup. *Service. The servers are quick and polite. I have eaten at 2 other Vietnamese places in Boise, one DT and one in Garden City area, this is easily the best not only in Boise but in the PNW. This is my second time here. I was here about a year ago and ordered the pho and it was really good. This time I decided to order the spicy noodles. Big mistake...the broth was ok but the "meat" was pretty gross and not edible. There were floating chunks of fat and the beef had so much grizzle that i couldn't even eat it. Pho Le is an absolutely phenomenol restaurant! If you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine, then you will surely enjoy this place. When you first walk in, you will notice right off the bat at how clean and pristine the dining and kitchen area are kept (yes I said kitchen). The kitchen features a large doorway and window right in front of the dining area so you can look into the kitchen and watch the chefs as they prepare your meal. All the silverware and dishes are polished so clean that you can see your reflection in them. The atmosphere is calm and collective so you can enjoy your meal without anything bothersome distracting you from your meal. The server is amazing. They check on you periodicaly asking you how your meal is, but not approaching you to much that it becomes bothersome. Now that we have established how nice the interior is, let's move on to the actual food... I ordered the pho-tastic and was thoroughly impressed with not only the size of the serving, but also with the taste as well. It's very authentic. It's spicy and sweet at the same time, and reflects every flavor that a proper bowl of pho should have. The basil leaves and cilantro that they provide you with your bowl of soup is fresh and of garden quality and the aroma is very uplifting. All in all, this restaurant gets a 5 star...it's an amazing and invigorating experience to dine here and I highly suggest it to anyone and everyone. read more

I'm a Pacific Islander from an island called Saipan. So on Dec 26, 2017 @ around 4:00pm I was looking for something to eat and I thought about eating Pho but the ones Ive tried multiple place on Boise Idaho before and none of them I went to were great. It's either something was wrong cause it didn't have much taste or the price of it for the amount you order was ridiculous. So I decided to once again to try another one but this time I look at the review and saw this Pho Le located at 2146 Broadway Ave Boise, ID 83706 phone #208-807-2341 had a 4 star. So I decided one last time to try it and this is by far the Best Vietnam Restaurant on Boise Idaho and I'm so happy I went to it. So I drove there and order me a soup because I was getting sick and finally found the Best Vietnamese Restaurant I consider the Best on Boise Idaho. I usually only go to the Vietnamese Restaurant but it's located on Washington State but now I found one here on Boise which I consider a 10 *Star and I'll be coming to this restaurant way more often. Not only was the price decent but the food is awesome and the Waiter/Cashier David is the best I ever came across with. I sometimes would ask to get stuff I need like Water, Napkin , Tabasco Etc.....Just to see how they react, if there getting annoyed but ever single time I ask him for something he gets it with a smile on his face and he always always says Thank You. Another cool thing is that they have WIFI which the other Vietnamese Restaurant I been to never has WIFI. So if you have never tried going to this restaurant then I would highly recommend you to go to it and promise you that you won't be disappointed unless your the very picky person on what to eat. So hurry and come over before it's too late and I order everything only for me...lol... Lastly since I love the Customer Service of David and rarely give this amount of tip but I gave him $10.00 tip. My favorite pho place in Boise! I usually get the pho-sure bowl which is the smallest bowl and more than enough. The broth is so good! I could have it every day and I would never get sick of it. It's a great place to go after hiking/snowboarding/skiing. Location is pretty close to downtown and prices are fair. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

We had a party of 9, which is too big for this place. This place is not cozy and far from intimate. This isn't the place to bring your mid-sixties parents who will have to sit on hard stool with no back. The dining area has only stools and is not very inviting to sit and enjoy one another's company. The staff pushed two tables together but never fully completed the place setting with the sauces and other necessities. We had to steal them from a nearby table. The soup was not nearly as hot as pho should be. It was hot enough but I've had hotter pho. Anyhow this place is trying to "hip" and "metro" with its spartan dining room, which maybe cool for Millennial College students but they are missing the mark for other demographics. It used to be one of my favorite places to grab a bite. I wound always order pho and today I asked my husband to pick up to go since I was craving it. I ordered pho nominal. At home I put it all together trusting the service that the leaves the give which I always like the minty flavor, are clean. While I'm eating I taste something bitter, I spit it out and look into my bowl I see something like a wormlike swimming. I asked my husband and he said that it looks like a Caterpillar!! Stopped by for lunch last Saturday and was so excited to find bun bo hue on the menu! The flavors were as good as the restaurants in Seattle and Portland that I used to order these at. It came in a huge bowl and although the flavors were spot on, the noodles were overcooked and were falling apart. The food is pretty decent but is pretty expensive for a bowl of noodle for this area. Where do I begin with the service, it is pretty much hit and miss. The first day we came when it just open, service was pretty good albeit that they were only 2 tables. Service was slow on most days but ok on some which we could tolerate. However, the last time we came we had to wait for 1 hour just to get two bowls of noodles and didn't get our food. We got really frustrated when we see people that just came in got their food before us. We did not receive any explanation from the waitress for the delay or apology for this long wait. Instead, they tried their best to ignore and walk pass us as though they were scared to explain what is going on. On top of that, they were not really busy during that time since they only had 4 tables during that time. We got tired of waiting since every other table is getting their food except for us and approached the waitress which seem to always be behind the counter. She then explained that the kitchen messed up the order and will make the food now but then again no apology whatsoever. The waitress then told the kitchen to make the order now but we could see that the cook did not bother about this issue and just shrugs off and did not seem to care. We decided to give them one last chance and wait for another 15 minutes but still no food, we then just got sick and tired of waiting and left the place for the last time. We have not come to this place again and are not planning to do so anytime in the future. This would be my most frustrating and worst experience in a restaurant and I usually don't leave reviews but they left me with no option. I hope they will rectify this problem if they want to continue to stay open. read more

This restaurant is great! Awesome environment and staff, and most importantly food! My boyfriend and I love Vietnamese, and Pho Le has some of the best in Boise. The pho is great, and I personally really enjoyed the summer rolls and bun (delicious choice of sauces). Lots of other options on the menu too, but all very fresh. Nice selection of drinks too, I love the iced green tea and boyfriend likes the beer. Fun decor and music, as well as a few tvs, but still a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. Very polite and informative staff, they ask first if you've had pho before and give an explanation if you want one. If you're thinking about it, go for it. You won't regret it. read more
