Not the best pho restaurant, but probably one of the better ones in my opinion. I've only ordered pho here so I'm not too sure about the other dishes they offer. Service is pretty standard for a viet restaurant - not the best but nothing to complain about. Food does come out extremely fast. I came here the other day and less than 5 min after placing our order, the food was at our table. I really like the pho broth here, and the meat is pretty good quality too. Nothing like good Pho for the soul. I liked the feel of the restaurant, reminded me of an old diner. It had nice comfy couches and windows with plenty of light pouring in, which was perfect to sit and read with. The service was excellent, I ordered a large Beef pho and it came to me just as I opened my book to read. As for the portions, I ordered a large bowl, but there wasn't too much meat in it, and definitely not enough of the tripe or fatty flank. I wish I could have had a bit more to fill me up. The flavor of the broth seemed quite watery but satisfactory when adding the Sriracha sause. Wish I could have been a little bit more full from the food, but the price and service made it worth my while. Overall I enjoyed eating here and look to try more items on the menu in the future. read more

This Pho place has great and fast service. Very cheap, great portions. The decor and style of the place is weird, but don't let the tacky pictures on the wall make you think differently! This place has some pretty good pho. I've had better pho, but this place is not bad. The soup is hot, the broth is rich. The noodles don't break apart. If you really want good pho, go to San Jose, but this is good enough! I eat here to satisfy my crave for pho if I don't want to drive to San Jose! read more

I go here a lot. I really like the Pho. It has good noodles, chicken, and fresh greens. The broth is very tasty, but maybe a tad bit salty. Comes with a side of sprouts, chilies, and some leafy stuff. All this for 6 bucks! Really hits the spot on cold days. Sometimes it can get crowded, but I've never had to wait for a seat for dinner. The service is really fast. The only thing that I would knock it for, is the preference for cash. You can pay by credit card only if the bill is higher than $10, otherwise they'll charge you $10 if your bill is lower - that's what the cashier told me. My understanding of how VISA and MC work is that they're not supposed to limit customers that way, it's against their contract with these firms. Overall, the food is great, the price is right. I was taken to Pho Nam for the first time and they definitely serve solid pho. The restaurant itself is quite big in size. When you walk in the door there is two sides, we were having a late lunch so they were seating only one side. It was still quite busy at 2pm on a weekday. The menu had Chinese and Korean translation. The Korean was interesting to see as I don't see Korean translation in Toronto. My aunt who lives in the area also said she had not notice this on the menu. She did say it looks like the prices increased since her last visit. As for our orders, we all got pho. I got a small with semi raw beef, flank and tendon. We received our meals quite quickly and it was piping hot! The broth was flavourful yet clear. I didn't feel like an overload of MSG which is great. The side dish of sprouts also included sliced jalapeño peppers which is not something I see in Toronto. I also really liked the thin and narrow rice noodles they used compared to the usual wider ones I have at Vietnamese restaurants. We also tried the shrimp summer rolls, which were satisfying (maybe also because we were hungry haha). If you are looking for a quick and yummy meal, give this place a try! Thumbs up!! read more

To help you decipher the sizing for their pho: Large = regular Small = child If you're a normal sized person with a normal sized appetite, order a large. Don't order the small because you'll end up having to eat a second meal. I wish I had known this before I had lunch over there today. I ordered the small thinking I'd get a hearty bowl of pho that I'd probably struggle to finish. I frequent the Milpitas location so I'm aware of their menu and bowl sizes. What I got instead was a different story. When they gave me my bowl, I thought to myself, "where's the rest of it?" and, "do I look like a small child to you?". I had to pad my bowl with a ton of bean sprouts just so I wouldn't leave hungry. So very sad. Sure, it's probably good that I ate more veggies and that I won't go into a food coma back at work, but this just wasn't what I expected and how I remembered it. I used to come here for lunch almost once a week. It was close to work, had fairly good and quick service, and the food was good. This was my first time back in a year and everything had remained pretty much the same except for the size of the bowls. They're now charging the same amount for a smaller quantity. The vermicelli with pork and shrimp was disappointing - both meats were overcooked and lukewarm and only subtly marinated and the portions were very meager. The noodles were over-steamed and clumped together. The egg roll appetizer was decent. Friendly expedient service and a clean environment. Cheap, fast, and delicious!! This Pho restaurant has been around for a long time, unlike most of the places, nothing has really changed over the years. The interior, the good taste, and the low price compare to most of the Pho places in the area. Their soup base is bit in the greasy end, but the taste is very balanced so you don't taste as much MSG like in most of the other Pho places, They give you LOTS of meat here, noodles is generous portioned as well! The pho is good, but there are other pho restaurants in the area that are a little bit better. Arguably the best Pho place in Sunnyvale in terms of bang for the buck. When I come here with my friend our bill usually clocks in at about 20 dollars for two bowls of Pho, one small ($6.55) and one large ($7.25), plus two drinks. Service is quick, especially if you come at an off peak hour. I rarely ever have to wait more than several minutes for all my food to arrive. Staff are friendly and polite and if you come regularly they begin to learn your ordering habits. The only complaints I can really make about this place so far is its lack of ambiance and visually it doesn't look extremely appealing from the outside. Although, both of these issues can be easily overlooked once you sit down and try the food. If you're looking for a quick, cheap place to stop after work or during your lunch hour, I highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

It's been hit or miss here, for me. The location is convenient when I'm running errands around S'vale. And there is plenty of parking.
