Wow, I was surprised to see the low rating for this restaurant that has clearly stood the test of time. We dropped in a couple of weeks ago for Saturday lunch and had a pretty good meal. The service was quick and the outdoor seating was comfortable. We were with another family who ordered only vegetarian dishes, and they were happy too. We tried the Veggie appetizer platter, the Roti Prata, the Crab Fried Rice, and the Pad Kee Mao. The roti prata was a minor disappointment since it tasted more like the frozen kind than something made fresh, but everything else was tasty and served hot. The crab fried rice was excellent. There are plenty of good Thai places in the South Bay now, but if you are in the historic Sunnyvale downtown area, this one is worth a shot.

I was in the mood for Thai food, so I looked for a spot that wasn't too crowded in the afternoon and decided to give this place a try. Since the weather was nice, a lot of people were enjoying their meals on the patio. The menu had not only traditional Thai dishes but also some fusion options. Depending on the dish, you could choose the spice level and type of protein, which I thought was great. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. For drinks, we ordered Iced Thai Tea and Pink Milk. Both were on the sweet side and paired well with the spicy food. The Thai tea tasted more like juice than tea to me, but overall they were enjoyable.

Had a good lunch at Siam Taste the other day. I don't recall if there was a lunch special menu but the two of us ended up getting three dishes ala carte. Spring rolls with shrimp as appetizers. Man these were plump and big! Comes with six pieces and dipping sauce. Pretty good, especially if you like fresh mint leaves flavor. Next dish was Penang curry I believe. Or some kind of curry anyway. Tasty sauce but could have used a bit more chicken. Also a little thick for me. And it wasn't served hot enough (temperature, not spice). Final dish was broccoli and beef. This was a unique one for me as I'm used to the Chinese version and this definitely had a different type of sauce/flavor. Again very thick sauce and was kind of lukewarm temperature. The service was good. The place was old but clean. Pleasant. They service food on nice dishware. Three dishes plus tax and tip was pretty expensive over $70 for a weekday lunch with only water to drink. This kind of drove my star rating.

One of my favorite Thai spots. The food is always so good, and the service is just as great. The server is super sweet and always remembers us, which makes every visit feel personal. My favorites are the lamb curry, papaya salad, and the fried banana with ice cream -- I could honestly come here just for that dessert! Other dishes we enjoyed: * Roti with chicken * Chicken and lamb skewers * Pineapple fried rice * Spring rolls * Pad see ew * Brown rice * Mango sticky rice Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing service -- what more could you ask for? Highly recommend!

My SO and I stopped by Siam Taste for lunch during the week while running errands. Service There was only one person taking care of the place as they weren't too busy for lunch. There was one other dine in customer. FOOD * Khao Soi Noodle Soup * Panang Curry Both entrees offered a delightful burst of flavor, making for a satisfying meal. The portions were generous, which allowed me to take my noodle soup home as leftovers. I particularly enjoyed the addition of red onions and mustard greens in the soup, as they complemented the dish nicely. The curry broth was well-seasoned, and the egg noodles were a great choice, enhancing the overall experience. Overall, a pleasant and quaint dine in experience.

Best Thai food. Food is always flavorful. The chicken skewers are always tasty. Their mango sticky rice is was just perfect. Friendly staff and fast service. 10/10 highly recommended.

Both of the dishes we had were pretty good! The staff were friendly and made jokes with us, plus the restaurant had a nice ambiance! We tried the 1 spicy on the curry and it was not too spicy!

This is one of our go-to Thai restaurants in Sunnyvale. It's unassuming inside, but the service was fast and very attentive. We didn't get rushed even though it was near closing time. Their food is consistently tasty, with several spicy levels. This last visit we shared a small tom ka (coconut) soup and pad kee mao (drunken noodles) at spice level 2. Both are delicious, and it was just enough for us two ladies.

Down town Sunnyvale, lots of restaurants, stores & bars, in the walk area or just around the area, so if you're just hanging out, this would be the place to be. Lots of parking, some you'll have to walk depending on where you're parking, but that's why you're visiting the area right? Nice little location, the people are very friendly from the time you walk in, get seated & are served. Pretty small inside but, it fits a good amount of people. If you don't mind being a little squishy & enjoying good company & yummy food. We specifically go here for the coconut chicken soup w/noodles (you can pick the type) Pad Thai (you choose the spice level) Mango Sticky Rice is a Must Have you will NOT be disappointed & it's big enough to share but, if you're feeling a little extra Fluffy get a whole plate to yourself.

We came here for dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived at 7pm, but the environment seemed nice and clean, and we got good service since we were literally the only table getting served by the restaurant. This restaurant had good options of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and the spice level was on a scale from 1 to 7. We ordered a plate of fried rice and pad kee mao to share and the portion size was pretty reasonable for the price. I really wanted to try the spicier levels at 5+, but my friends wanted to enjoy their food and so chose a spice level of 3. However, even at a spice level of 3, the food was actually spicy. I would definitely want to come back and try something spicier from here.

Tasty and flavour of thailand food, the service is super fast and the waitress is so friendly too, they have inside and patio seat which is comfortable and cozy to enjoy the food.

My name got called and they said "oh let's wait till all your party comes and then we'll get you seated." I explained to them that I need the table 1st so that my friend doesn't have to go through waiting standing, then getting usher to a table, considering the handicap. They were stuck in their thought process and did not give us a table. My friend had difficulty parking and getting in - so of course we had to wait to get a table. This is not at all considerate of them when we explicitly said we have a member with a handicap. They were rigid. What I noticed is that the corner table I asked for was given to a lady, even though her companion came in much later! The indoor seating is very cramped. I wonder how many people are truly allowed! I can grab anything from the next table if I wanted to - that's how terrible the seating is. 1 point for : The food is OK. Everything tastes the same. It's a bit too salty. This place is not worth a second chance! Especially for their attitude towards the disabled and handicapped!

We got the Penang braised beef, pad see ew, pad ka pow, Thai hot pot, and mango sticky rice. The Penang braised beef is basically like the Penang curry - very rich, well spiced, and the beef is tender. My favorite dish here. Pad see ew is good but fairly standard - pricing is pretty high for a dish like this - $20+ for a noodle dish. The pad ka pow is good - something I normally wouldn't get, in favor of curry, but it was great for sharing and open up my horizons beyond my typical order. Thai hot pot for $35 was really disappointing - there is good amount of beef but they do not do a good job with the meat cuts and it is easy to overcook due to the constant fire inside cooking up the soup. Mango sticky rice is good - mangoes were sweet and fresh, but the rice was on the undercooked side. Service is good as water refills were present and they brought the dishes in a timely manner. Overall, decent Thai food, but coming from Seattle, this did not wow me the same way as my friends do who live around this area.

The woman who was taking care of everyone seated (about six full tables) was kind and welcomed us to come back which I appreciated. The parking was a little tough even on a Wednesday at 1 PM. Here's what we ordered: Pineapple fried rice with seafood: This is probably my most favorite dish. Super fragrant, flavorful, and loaded with seafood. Even the picky ones or children can have it, as it's not spicy at all Panang Neua: Beef rib was super tender and basically falling off the bone. It came with sticky rice and sauces, looks aesthetic in picture. Tom Kha with chicken: A rich, creamy coconut flavor soup. Very comforting and an easy dish. Though it was Saturday noon, we found free covered parking at Menlo Center Plaza off Santa Cruz Avenue. True to online postings, this restaurant had vibrant & faux flowery decor. Our large group of 8 was seated in the main dining hall with another large group. The menus of specials and cocktails with colorful F&D photos reminded me of touristy European restaurants. I had the hot Japanese sencha while my wife got the Thai Iced tea served with a crushed iced ball on top. Roti Mataba, Crispy Egg Rolls, Farmhouse Wings and Crispy Calamari were our starters for this gang of eclectic diners. I shared with my wife the Panang Neua (braised beef in curry sauce) and Pad See You which came gorgeously plated with generous servings. We were able to sample the Crab Fried Rice and Tom Kha from our dinnermates. Ruk Na (love you) Platter was the underwhelming dessert combo of Thai Vacation, Sticky Rice (no mango), Chocolate Cake with fresh fruits and a macaron. To be described as IG worthy in the menu wasn't accurate IMO. It must've been an off-day in the kitchen when they were prepping this "leave the choice up to us" plate of sweets. Food was way flavorful than regular Thai restaurants we've been to. The common complaint is the very pricy food. The staff was nice though. They even acknowledged our request for photos. Even with the setbacks, this was a nice lunch with this group.
