Wow, I was surprised to see the low rating for this restaurant that has clearly stood the test of time. We dropped in a couple of weeks ago for Saturday lunch and had a pretty good meal. The service was quick and the outdoor seating was comfortable. We were with another family who ordered only vegetarian dishes, and they were happy too. We tried the Veggie appetizer platter, the Roti Prata, the Crab Fried Rice, and the Pad Kee Mao. The roti prata was a minor disappointment since it tasted more like the frozen kind than something made fresh, but everything else was tasty and served hot. The crab fried rice was excellent. There are plenty of good Thai places in the South Bay now, but if you are in the historic Sunnyvale downtown area, this one is worth a shot.

I was in the mood for Thai food, so I looked for a spot that wasn't too crowded in the afternoon and decided to give this place a try. Since the weather was nice, a lot of people were enjoying their meals on the patio. The menu had not only traditional Thai dishes but also some fusion options. Depending on the dish, you could choose the spice level and type of protein, which I thought was great. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. For drinks, we ordered Iced Thai Tea and Pink Milk. Both were on the sweet side and paired well with the spicy food. The Thai tea tasted more like juice than tea to me, but overall they were enjoyable.

Had a good lunch at Siam Taste the other day. I don't recall if there was a lunch special menu but the two of us ended up getting three dishes ala carte. Spring rolls with shrimp as appetizers. Man these were plump and big! Comes with six pieces and dipping sauce. Pretty good, especially if you like fresh mint leaves flavor. Next dish was Penang curry I believe. Or some kind of curry anyway. Tasty sauce but could have used a bit more chicken. Also a little thick for me. And it wasn't served hot enough (temperature, not spice). Final dish was broccoli and beef. This was a unique one for me as I'm used to the Chinese version and this definitely had a different type of sauce/flavor. Again very thick sauce and was kind of lukewarm temperature. The service was good. The place was old but clean. Pleasant. They service food on nice dishware. Three dishes plus tax and tip was pretty expensive over $70 for a weekday lunch with only water to drink. This kind of drove my star rating.

One of my favorite Thai spots. The food is always so good, and the service is just as great. The server is super sweet and always remembers us, which makes every visit feel personal. My favorites are the lamb curry, papaya salad, and the fried banana with ice cream -- I could honestly come here just for that dessert! Other dishes we enjoyed: * Roti with chicken * Chicken and lamb skewers * Pineapple fried rice * Spring rolls * Pad see ew * Brown rice * Mango sticky rice Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing service -- what more could you ask for? Highly recommend!

My SO and I stopped by Siam Taste for lunch during the week while running errands. Service There was only one person taking care of the place as they weren't too busy for lunch. There was one other dine in customer. FOOD * Khao Soi Noodle Soup * Panang Curry Both entrees offered a delightful burst of flavor, making for a satisfying meal. The portions were generous, which allowed me to take my noodle soup home as leftovers. I particularly enjoyed the addition of red onions and mustard greens in the soup, as they complemented the dish nicely. The curry broth was well-seasoned, and the egg noodles were a great choice, enhancing the overall experience. Overall, a pleasant and quaint dine in experience.

Best Thai food. Food is always flavorful. The chicken skewers are always tasty. Their mango sticky rice is was just perfect. Friendly staff and fast service. 10/10 highly recommended.

Down town Sunnyvale, lots of restaurants, stores & bars, in the walk area or just around the area, so if you're just hanging out, this would be the place to be. Lots of parking, some you'll have to walk depending on where you're parking, but that's why you're visiting the area right? Nice little location, the people are very friendly from the time you walk in, get seated & are served. Pretty small inside but, it fits a good amount of people. If you don't mind being a little squishy & enjoying good company & yummy food. We specifically go here for the coconut chicken soup w/noodles (you can pick the type) Pad Thai (you choose the spice level) Mango Sticky Rice is a Must Have you will NOT be disappointed & it's big enough to share but, if you're feeling a little extra Fluffy get a whole plate to yourself.

This is one of our go-to Thai restaurants in Sunnyvale. It's unassuming inside, but the service was fast and very attentive. We didn't get rushed even though it was near closing time. Their food is consistently tasty, with several spicy levels. This last visit we shared a small tom ka (coconut) soup and pad kee mao (drunken noodles) at spice level 2. Both are delicious, and it was just enough for us two ladies.

We came here for dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived at 7pm, but the environment seemed nice and clean, and we got good service since we were literally the only table getting served by the restaurant. This restaurant had good options of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and the spice level was on a scale from 1 to 7. We ordered a plate of fried rice and pad kee mao to share and the portion size was pretty reasonable for the price. I really wanted to try the spicier levels at 5+, but my friends wanted to enjoy their food and so chose a spice level of 3. However, even at a spice level of 3, the food was actually spicy. I would definitely want to come back and try something spicier from here.

The menu is laid out by geographic regions, which I thought was a really neat way to showcase the many different cuisines. We started with summer rolls and calamari, both of which were excellent. The summer rolls were fresh and bright, with a delicious peanut sauce that was among the best my sister (a self-described "Peanut Sauce Snob") and I had ever had. The large pieces of calamari were expertly cooked, still very tender even after frying. There was a hint of spice in the calamari dipping sauce that I quite enjoyed. For entrees, we got Pad Thai, Pad See You, and Panang Curry -- all favorites we've had many places (despite the many alluring new-to-me options, I admit we all defaulted to known quantities) -- and we were impressed across the board. Everything was flavorful, had just the right amount of spice, and came out steaming hot. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of this restaurant, which felt lively and friendly. It was very busy, with a line out the door by the time we left, so reservations are a good idea!

I usually skip writing reviews for places that disappoint me for the first time but after a series of letdowns, I felt compelled to share my opinion. We ordered a variety of dishes all spicy level of heat, including the Panang Braised Beef, Crispy Dragon Ball, Tom Kha Chicken and Shrimp (which came with an extra charge), Beef Pad Kew Mao, and the yellow curry (which was out of stock, which was odd since we ordered our food on a Friday around 6:30 pm). The Tom Kha soup was by far the worst dish we had. It tasted like watered-down coconut water, with the proteins and mushrooms just thrown in. The broth lacked depth and was broken, as seen in the pictures. I was so disappointed that I almost drove back to the restaurant to ask for a refund, but my fiancée didn't want me to seem cheap for doing so. The Crispy Dragon Ball "Salad" was another disappointment. It had no greens other than the cilantro that came with it, so I ended up taking some out and adding it to the Tom Kha soup to try to add some depth and flavor to the broth. The flavor of the dish was great, but they should clearly label it as a warm salad without greens or dressing. The Panang Braised Beef had a bland curry flavor, but the meat was very tender and fell apart easily. Pad Kee Mao, recall the beginning of the review where I mentioned we ordered everything spicy level heat. This dish, however, was utterly inedible. How could you possibly make it so spicy that the noodles would instantly burn your tongue and teeth? I shed a few tears trying to eat it, not wanting to waste my money. The result was a very bland, uninspired Thai taste that lingered in my mouth. The next day, we decided to order Thai food again, but this time from Shana Thai, another Thai restaurant off Moffet Blvd. They never disappoint. The ambiance was average, typical of a regular-sized restaurant. Did not take photos of the curry because it's just a red curry nothing special and the Pad Kee Mao I was just done with the whole experience, basically resigned to the fact that we had wasted our money on shitty over pieced Thai food.
