This is a basic pho resturant. Nothing fancy here. Just good food. These folks are able to provide a no oil, no animal, no salt plate for my SO. I always get the #7 straight or with vegetables. YUM! read more

The food comes out fast. The employees can be curt but are most usually nice. The soup tastes great and I don't really find any MSG after taste. The noodles feel old sometimes, but the speed, employees and the soup taste make up for it. They have real comfortable booths too. I usually get the Thai milk tea, strawberry smoothie or the fresh coconut water. I really enjoy the strawberry smoothies here much more than other places...I just taste less artificial, for lack of a better word. All in all, a great place to come for a quick, filling lunch that doesn't taste half-bad. Kind workers. There is a credit limit for under 10 dollars. An ATM exists there. read more

Not too bad of a place. I think service is actually pretty good here for a Vietnamese restaurant! The servers were friendly and took our orders quickly and the pho was BAM!! Fast and pretty good. This used to be our favorite place.......lots of meat in the pho and reasonable prices. Then they started decreasing the amount of one and increasing the other. It's still ok but nothing special anymore and we can get the same thing closer to home and save on gas. read more

When we want Pho, the family goes to Pho Nam. Interesting building conversion (at least I'm guessing it was something before). The food is good and the service is quick. We're always greeted with a smile. Our kids (now 4 and 1) love it here. read more

Folks, the pho here is fine and the price is decent. But what I know about this place is that the employees are being ripped-off BIG TIME!!! Pay close attention to them when you visit here. They don't show any enthusiasm. Why? Because they are paid $5 per hour plus the tips we gave them to make up for the difference to meet minimum wage. Just ask your server when you sit down at one of the tables here. We shouldn't be supporting these kinds of HEARTLESS & GREEDY business owners. If you see any employee showing enthusiasm here, it must be one of the owners because he/she knows you're going to leave some gratuity which he/she will pocket. Unbelievably fast service, but the Pho was only so-so and the spring rolls were horrible. The Pho broth was tasty but the meat was of really poor quality, really tough and fatty. The Spring roll peanut sauce didn't have much of a peanut flavor to it, the meat in the rolls was dried out and tasteless, and the greens looked visibly wilted. Their Pho is ok, more flavors than other pho; however, their large bowl now is their previously regular bowl. Portion is small, cut back on all ingredients. It seems like on weekend, they always says their credit card machine is out of order and ONLY TAKE CASH. For what reasons I WONDER. This happens a lot, usually on weekends. By far my favorite place for Pho. They have the BEST tasting broth. Price is great compared to other Pho places in Sunnyvale when you consider the size and amount they give you. Very quick service. After trying all the pho places in the area, this is the best. The meats are very good quality, not tough and leathery like some of the cheaper places. Service is prompt, although you might have to wait for a table sometimes because they are so busy. We always have spring rolls with the pho, love dipping them in the peanut sauce. I have been to a few pho restaurants lately and Pho Nam is by far my favorite. I used to pass it everyday driving and didn't even think anything of it untill my friend asked if I wanted to go there for dinner. Now anytime I am in the mood for pho I go to Pho Nam. The food is great and reasonably priced. There are pleantly of options even for those who don't want pho. The staff is also very friendly as well. Jeez, i've been going here for the past few years. Always thought the pho was pretty good. Just went there last night and as soon as I got home I started to have stomach cramps! Next thing I know I am puking my pho up all through the night. The prices, pho, and service are good but after this episode I will stay away. I know it can happen anywhere but after reading some of the other reviews, I am not willing to take this chance again. Right now I am in my cube hiding, having chills, naseau and an upset stomach. I can't wait to go home and sleep and get this taste of pho out of my mouth!!! read more
