Every pho restaurant I've been to serves me the raw meat on the side, and I can dip the meat when I'm ready and eat it medium rare. As I was fresh out of boat at the harbor in Arcadia, CA, 20years ago, I was so surprised that every noodle soup I ate in the restaurant served in a huge bowl like a bathtub, almost brimming over that servers taking care of not to spill in front of customers. I've forgotten all the tiredness from the journey, or tiredness from work after I finished that cheap noodle soup. People call this is a soul food. The pho has been one of my soul food lists because I could enjoy the huge hot soup, noodles and Asian spices such as lemon grass, fish sauces, bean sprouts, sriracha sauces, and black bean sauces in affordable prices, and I forgotten all the weariness, exhaustion from living in the foreign country. Sometimes when I order things that have a drink or I requested extra sauce the packaging is so weak and terrible that it doesn't make it to me before it spills all over the bottom of the bag, that was not the case with this order including the drink.
