    Bobo butter crunchy beef
    Sara E.

Lovely hole in the wall family run restaurant in a South Sac strip mall. Wonderful aroma greets you as you step in the door. Only a couple of tables full when my friends and I arrived. I already knew what I planned to order. Know that there are more items available on the menu than what you see from the website. Food came out fairly quickly. First we had the lemon cured shrimp and cabbage salad. Light, refreshing, crunchy and tangy. Next up were the wok-tossed clams with shrimp chips. This dish has incredible flavor and the shrimp chips tasted like they were fresh-made. The basil-onion-chili sauce on the clams sang. Chips were light as air and delicious. Crispy salt and pepper calamari seemed to have a cornmeal breading and a sweet sour aioli dipping sauce. They were piping hot, fresh and delicious. We could not have chosen better starters but I'd like to come back for the quail. Our mains came out next. One spicy pho, one braised duck with egg noodle soup, a wonton spicy sate soup and the Bobo butter crunchy beef. I loved the flavor of the wontons. Ordered with egg noodles per our server's recommendation. Delicious broth but not spicy enough for my liking. A little more chili oil and I went to town on this bowl of deliciousness. Now for the star of the night, the Bobo butter crispy beef. Intense flavor in succulent strips of tender beef topped with crunchy sesame seeds. If I can't figure out how to make this at home, it will be a DoorDash go-to for sure. So much flavor! One tip, bring your own containers for leftovers. The restaurant charges for to-go containers. Great portions, decent prices and cute place. Check it out!

If you order the large bowl, it automatically comes with the rib bone! It was delicious and highly recommend it. The pho broth tastes very fresh and reminds me the pho in Vietnam when I visited 10 years ago. Bobo butter crunchy beef was pretty damn good! I've never had anything like this so I wasn't sure what to expect. The flavors are delicious and the crunchy texture makes it better

At the time I came in, there was a family being seated and there was 2 people already eating. So the restaurant wasn't super busy at the time. It's a cute little restaurant and looks clean. Friendly staff and was sat very quickly. my order was placed and brought to me very quickly. I appreciate that. The food was pretty good. My only "issue" is the charges and prices of certain things. $1 charge for using my card. $2.75 for a can of soda is expensive. And .50 for a to go box? I've never been charged a fee for wanting to take home our food.

Name is more catchy than the pho. I liked the pho but because my husband is a pho snob, he says it's not good. Guess he's more Asian than me and knows his pho. We were a bit disappointed there were no pickled jalepenos here. That's become a condiment we must have with our pho now. Would love to come back when this condiment is provided. Service is okay. We were eventually greeted (about 2 minutes standing by the door looking around the whole restaurant hangry) when gurl walked over to us after she took her time doing whatever she was doing at the table. However, i believe the first 5 seconds is everything in customer service.

Food is Amazing and the pictures and videos do no justice! Come on over and get the giant rib! Service is quick and the ambience is quiet and clean. A+ all around!

This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving Vietnamese staples with a modern twist. The butter beef is absolutely insane. We stuck with the classics and ordered the pho and banh canh cua, and they did not disappoint. Straight forward service and located by Seafood Market.

Craving soup Vietnamese soup! This is the SPOT! Everyone must get the LARGE pho to get the beef rib inside of the bowl. The beef rib is only with the Large pho bowl. I believe it is only maybe a couple dollars more for a Large and it is so worth it. This place downstairs charge you a leg and an arm. Anywhere else they would charge at least $25 for that bowl of pho. The soup is perfectly seasoned and salted. It isn't watered down or flavorless like hot water where I need to put in so much sauces and condiments to make my own broth at the table that I'm paying for. Their Vietnamese coffee I think is LEES coffee. It's kind of expensive. I just come here for the pho. Service- it's the typical Asian restaurant service. They come to you if you ask for them. Don't expect too much, but at least they come to you and give you water and greet you. Ambiance- the typical Asian restraint, again, don't expect too much. It is at least not dirty and the tables are not sticky.

The ambience was very nice and quiet. The service was very good and the food came out very fast. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted very authentic and traditional! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good Vietnamese pho in the area.

    Add the crab&scallops.

Banh canh here does the job for me, the butter beef is a hit or miss, sometimes it's too oily but I prefer it with the green beans and rice. Service here isn't always the best but the food is decent enough to come back.

Southeast Asian street food restaurant in Sacramento. You can expect to find more than just the standards like pho & pork chops rice plate. Pho Ru has lesser known delicious regional dishes, along with new & original dishes using the Southeast Asian palette of flavors. Their pho is what they are known for, but you can try their butter beef rice dish or their thick crab soup w tapioca noodles.

Pho Ru has one of the most delicious, full-bodied pho broth! Non-assuming, casual place run by Vietnamese family. You won't be disappointed.

I appreciate the decor when you walk in - it's like half modern along with paints as if you're from Vietnam. Server recommended us the beef rib over rice which was marinated with lemon grass and meat was tender. Usually it's pork chop or chicken but beef rib elevated the rice plate. Special spring roll combo - sooo healthy. Make your own spring rolls. It comes with nem nuong (sausage pork), vermicelli noodles, crispy rice paper, lots of veg). Dipped in their sauce, it was definitely my fav. It's interesting that their sauce consistency is thick. Banh xeo - I wish it came a little crispier. Lots of bean sprouts under which made it a bit soggy if not eaten right away Pho combo - flavorful broth, good portion of meat, noodles was in perfect condition. I recommend* Drinks - wasn't entirely impressed by them. They were VERY strong.

It was our first time assembling our own spring rolls at the table, which made for a fun and memorable dining experience. The beef rib pho was packed with flavor, generously portioned, and easily left us with enough leftovers for another meal. I also tried Nem Chua (fermented pork) for the first time and absolutely loved it. Everything tasted fresh, simple, and homemade--the kind of food that feels like it was made with care. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and I appreciated that they're open earlier in the morning, making it a convenient option compared to many other Vietnamese restaurants. Great food, great service, and a great experience overall. We'll definitely be back!

We mixed our fish sauce with the chili sauce and this was so good. I wish it came with a little bit more veggies as I like to lettuce wrap my cha gio. Banh Cuon combo plate was also very good but the banh cuon was absolutely the best part - next time I would just order a plate of only the rice rolls! Banh Xeo took a bit longer to come out but it was very large and seemed like a popular menu item as we saw other tables order this. This is a savory Vietnamese pancake/crepe packed with veggies and shrimp and pork. Veggies and herbs were plentiful here - a bit messy to eat but so good! Service was okay - our orders were taken in a timely manner and food came out promptly. Only thing is that we were never checked up on and we had to walk up to the counter to settle the bill. I automatically think about Duc Huong when I think about banh mi. Their grilled pork never lets me down. It comes in a huge serving size with carrots, onions, parsley, and jalapenos (optional). Bonus points for the customizable garlic butter spread that can be added to the bread. Out of all this shop's positive traits -- portion size, taste, authenticity -- the most head-turning of them all lies in their menu prices. $6+tax for a large sandwich ($3.25 for small) is unheard of, particularly in California. Even with Doordash's greedy middleman antics, the all-inclusive total with the DashPass comes out to slightly more than $10 per sandwich. Finding hair in food is one of those things that's hard to get past, especially when you're almost finished eating and realize you've already consumed most of it.
