Wow ...this place hits the spot! We were driving home from pismo beach and have been craving some pho for the last month or so...the last time we had pho was probably in January or February time frame....so it's been a couple of months at least. My bf doesn't usually like Vietnamese food or asian restaurants because they usually overcook the meat until they are rubbery ... But today my bf was super happy to have his spicy fried noodles with chicken and pork added shrimp! I had the Vermicelli pork chop with prawns and added egg roll and chicken noodles soup with beef balls. My bf has some of mine too... He's impressed and usually he is not usually impressed at all lol... Good quality of meat and really really tasty ...we are glad to have read the reviews and decided to come here instead of its competition... To add to this review...the owner Hseih was out to check in with his guests today and apologized for his busy restaurant...what a sweet gesture We will definitely be back to this establishment... This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the Bay Area. I tried pretty much everything in their menu. I love their Pho, Salmon, Filet Mignon and Garlic Noodles with Beef. Ingredients are superior and always fresh. The lettuce is crisp, the broth is clean and flavorful. Yum!!! The owner "Tina" is an amazing chef with a technology background like her husband Hien that's why they are extremely detail oriented. This review is based on an in house dining and also take out. I have to say I'm highly disappointed in the quality of food for the takeout, the shrimp wontons were COLD and old hollow and dry, chewy which is an indication that it's been sitting and it's old. Eating in the restaurant was a different experience because this same dish came out fresh and hot and not the same consistency as was the takeout. In addition eating in the restaurant it seemed very disorganized, a little woman an old elderly man and a younger gentleman were running around, and trying to clean tables yet there were people already in the restaurant eating. After we were seated we've asked for a water and tea numerous times and finally we were given our tea but not the water. It came to a point where we had to keep asking all three of them for the items that we requested and also the condiments. The Pho soup was very good however I would not serve big chunks of chicken in a soup because nobody can fit that big size of chicken in their mouth, you need to cut those up smaller. As a sidenote, I would offer your customers a pot of tea so that you don't have to keep coming back to fill up our tea cups which we had to keep asking for. Otherwise experience was OK and the food was good. I think that's why people keep coming back despite the lack of tending to your customers. As far as takeout is concerned I would not order takeout from them again because you can obviously see that they just put together the old items and threw it in your bag versus you sitting there and returning it if they serve that to you in the restaurant. I Have had better food and other restaurants that are more attentive and the quality of food is a hell of a lot better. But maybe this is the go to in a small town. read more

We were finally able to come here for the first time! We walked up and noticed the "masks required" sign. We went back to the car bummed because I was pretty sure we didn't have any in the car. The owner came out and waved at us to come in. We were seated right away. We ordered the shrimp fresh rolls, bbq pork sandwich and the filet mignon garlic noodles. They were super fast with all the food. And they didn't have any bell peppers because their supplier hadn't come. But they came out to ask if we still wanted the garlic noodles anyways without the bell peppers. Of course we did. Everything tasted great. The Thai iced tea was delicious too. This so far is the best Pho restaurant in the Morgan Hill / Gilroy area. I have had the Pho, Grilled Pork Chop, Korean Short Ribs, Filet Mignon with Garlic Noodles, Fresh and Fried Spring Rolls. I will try different items as I frequent the restaurant. I have brought some of my buddies here and they have all enjoyed the food as well. I like the combo Pho that has almost everything in it ! The broth is delicious and there is plenty of meat in the soup. The grilled pork chop had so much flavor and had my buddy licking his plate almost. He said he had never had a pork chop so juicy and with so much flavor. The Korean short ribs were very tender and delicious. Perfectly served with rice. My buddy had the filet mignon tips with garlic noodles, I tried his dish and it was very good. The filet tops were tender and juicy and full of flavor. The fresh spring rolls are very good and has slices of cucumber in them. The only thing I would like to see added to the goi cuon would be a little fresh basil and fresh mint. Even a little cilantro. The fried spring roll is delicious and the fish sauce is the kicker. It sets it off perfectly. I am a big foodie and enjoy trying new places and new foods. Apologies for being the first non five-star review. All the five-star reviews set my expectations pretty high when I walked in, and I could say I was relatively let down. I went here with my vegan gf. She got the spicy veggie soup (#57) and I ordered the special combo pho (#9). In addition we ordered the tofu spring rolls, tea, OJ and coconut juice to drink. My order of pho came out pretty quick (as most other pho places). However, my gfs order was "misplaced/taken" and came out very late! The order of spring rolls also came out after my gfs order. To be fair this place is new and they are still trying to figure things out, as far as service goes. I don't want to give anyone a false impression of this place being extraordinary. In my opinion it's not "5 star" dining experience material. In respects to the food quality, my noodle soup was pretty bland as far as pho goes. The tofu spring rolls were just okay. I will say, I loved the tea and OJ though. My gf said her soup was good, but there are other places that serve better quality/taste. Considering this is still just a soft opening, they have a lot of room to grow. I will still definitely come back here again after the official grand opening and give it another shot. I've worked in Gilroy for a few years so I know there are very limited Vietnamese restaurant from Gilroy to Morgan Hill. On my way back home to San Jose, I saw this new Pho place on my way home and decided to give it a shot not expecting it to be comparable to what I can find in San Jose. Wow, I was blown away by the Pho and the service. The broth was so tasty that I don't have to put Sriracha and hoisin in to enjoy. Meat was quality cut and the tendon was cook just right and chewy. The staff was super attentive and the place was spacious not cramped like other pho place with a big parking lot. The owner checked up on everyone to make sure their experience was superb. Pho seems to be a good go to when we are travelling and this place did not disappoint. We had a pho with rare beef and beef balls and also garlic noodle with pork. Pho broth was flavorful and all the usual stuff was in there. Beef was a bit tough but overall very good.. Spices were on the table but we are pretty tame so I can't review those. I am not an Vietnamese food expert being of German background, but I do know what I like. Other items I've tried include the spring rolls, fried rice, and a handful of rice dishes, all of them are great. The best sign here is that they are very busy (and somewhat new). The place is spotlessly clean. And the prices, while a tad on the high side, are in line. You get served fast, and it's always accurate. Pho-get it. If you see customers standing outside, don't pull in. You will get sucked into a miserably long wait. To quantify this better, our wait time for a take out order was over an hour. We saw frustrated people in line leave also. There was a huddle of people inside too. No one greets you. It's random selection. The food was good but I was shortchanged on our order too. I don't care what the flavor is if I have to wait that long for an order that was messed up anyways. I won't return. I advise you to look for a better experience elsewhere. Awful. read more
