I'm so excited!!!!! Real Vietnamese food! A few things I saw on the menu: Pho Bun Rieu (Crab noodle soup) Hu Tieu (Rice noodles dry or wet) Regular Vietnamese apps Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef soup) Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) The hubs and I had different variations of pho. The bowls were a normal sized bowl that you'd expect at any noodle house. The broth was pretty good. Not as flavorful as I'm used to. Not better than some cult classics you'd find in SSSJ/ESSJ. However, for South Bay standards down here in Morgan Hill/Gilroy....it's a must try. We also got the sample app which came with all the fried goodies you'd expect: 2 eggrolls, 2 Gaughee/potstickers, 2 coconut breaded shrimp, 2 fried chicken wings. The hubs enjoyed this dish a lot actually. I didn't care for the shrimp. Everything else was tasty. The restaurant looks spacious outside but it's actually not that big once you've entered. I think they'll try to cater to togo orders as well. Except I asked for a to go menu and they don't have any.....yet. Will be back to try other things. read more

I ordered my food to go . My family had the seafood pho, chicken salad, sandwich and porkchop plate. My seafood pho was just ok, all the seafood was tough and I think over cooked. I see a lot of 5 stars here and I just want to be clear this is an honest review and I'm not hating in no type of way. My boyfriend is Vietnamese and we came here due to seeing other asian people giving 5 star reviews but trust me we were hesitant its Morgan Hill we can't expect much. We ordered Beef pho and vermicelli bbq pork with eggroll. We also ordered the nem nuong pork spring roll. We ate there and it comes in plastic to go containers instead of a real bowel. Lol. That was the first sign that the food would suck but still we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Pho broth looks like water and honestly its ok if your super craving it but there was nothing special about it. If you youtube how to make pho for the first time you probably would make it better no lie lol. Vermicelli bbq pork eggroll plate was mediocre. Low quality pork meat and the eggroll was horrible. Took one bite of the eggroll and left it there. Was it eatable yes if you're hungry. Would I eat it again never. Nem nuong pork spring roll came out to be a very big sizing. After a bite We realize the pork sausage was paper thin. Like cmon its a sausage how are you cutting it paper thin? Lmao. The staff was cool tho I know its hard trying to run a restaurant. Bottom line this isn't authentic Vietnamese food its made for the white people and other races that don't know any better of the cuisine. The only reason why I took my time out to write this because I was mislead by all the 5 star reviews which made me a bit disappointed on the yelpers not the restaurant. I hope one day maybe the owner can try to make the food more authentic using better quality items. Until then sorry bro it sucked. read more

Best chicken bahn mi sandwich and their char-broiled jumbo prawns with garlic noodles are to die for! Pho is good also and their fried rice is delicious. I can't wait to try other items in their menu. Almost forgot .. their Vietnamese coffee has the perfect amount of sweetness. read more

The staff is so sweet & kind, especially the man who is always there at cashier and serves us (could be the owner, not too sure tho) but overall, one of the best customer service i have ever received. I might come back but tonight's experience was a 2 star is guess. I called in my order, told the lady I wanted two #17 and due to the loud background noise I had to repeat myself several time. I was told they redid their menu and so I tried my hardest to pronounce Bun Bo Hue and I assume she heard me bc she said they had changed the number to that item. I had asked for two order plus a order of the passion fruit smoothie. I get there and find out my order was completely wrong and she only put in one order of soup. The guy upfront who got up to help was nice enough to quickly ask for my correct order. I didn't mind waiting as I was waiting for another phone order at a near by restaurant. So I get home, both the broth is Luke warm and my noodles are undercooked. Broth was also bland so I added some ground up chili from home. I was hungry so I ate the veggies and meat with the broth. I get that they are operating under a "soft opening" phase so I hope to come back and give it a try maybe in a month or two. Maybe my soups won't be cold and noodles undercooked the next time around. Customer service was nice. Edit: my daughter's passion fruit smoothie was not good at all, she didn't even drink it... why is it all watered down like that? What a waste of money tonight. read more

Such a awesome find in Morgan Hill. We got the Hu Tieu and Bun Bo Hue and they were scrumptious. Portions were super generous, we also got their spring rolls and avocado smoothie. My sister and I went here for lunch. Typically, when we go out to eat I convince her to pay. It seems only fair, she's had more time to save and more experience earning. I also value money more than she does. She let's other values like family and helping people, consume majority of her energy. Why should I lose something that I value more than her? She ended up saying that she wasn't feeling too well so if anything I should pay for her. That didn't make sense to me because I know how much she likes helping people. I thought it would make her feel better by helping her little baby brother by paying for my meal. She said that she didn't need my help, what she needed was to feel heard. Essentially, I needed to say "it must suck that you're not feeling well". It'd be better if that was said in a more caring way, but I think that was the gist of what she needed. Updated review The store owner let me know that the salty pho I had previously received was due to an error made while cooking the broth. I decided to give the restaurant a try again and pho is back to normal. I usually get the chicken with no meat and added vegetables. It is great! read more

The food here wasn't for us. We didn't like the crispy yellow noodles lacked flavor and noodles were hard and stale; chow fun was drowning in gravy that had a strange flavor and tiny strips bbq pork; vermicelli plate was okay. Our friends ordered pho and they said they have had better. We ordered 2 boba drinks (coconut and pineapple) and they forgot 1 of them and we had to ask for it after the food was delivered. Don't recommend. They both were super sweet with artificial flavor. Beware: I missed the note on the menu but discovered after I got my receipt there was a 15% service charge, 3% credit card charge plus my 20% tip, I ended up paying $42 on a $110 bill that was not a good eats. This was our first time bu definitely will return for more. Key things I look for Cleanliness of restaurant 2 flavor and tasty 3 service I don't compare to pho in San Jose because there is so many places with different recipes and styles I personally have been eating pho sense 1990 beef noodle #1 on capitol express way in San Jose . We did pick up due to being quarantined because of my work. I have to say the broth helped me to feel better, the price was reasonable, they prefer cash, and will add $1.50 charge for card orders. Delicious and authentic Vietnamese food that beats any comparable SJ Viet restaurant in a heartbeat. Pho broth is made with quality ingredients and WITHOUT MSG over many hours- comes out milky like it's supposed to be, not clear. It was flavorful without being salty. I drank the whole thing. Steak was quality. Meatballs were just the right texture, taste, and size. It was my favorite dish today. The grilled prawns were great- perfectly seasoned and charred. Beef stew with baguette was good. Broth was delicious and again, without MSG. Beef was tender. Bread was great. Ordered the garlic noodles with filet mignon cubes, mainly for the kids. It was very tasty- noodles were not greasy and not too salty, and garlicky without being overpowering. Beef was great and tender! We all loved it, and even though it was mainly for the kids, they ate that AND kept devouring our food too, because everything was that good. Our kids are already little foodies and eat a wide variety of food, and they are discerning about quality... so you know the place is good when they are eating everything without complaining about the meat being chewy, the broth being salty, the bread being stale, the water being smelly, the place being dirty, etc. :) The water is good, infused by home-grown lemon slices that smelled and tasted fresh. (bad water really ruins a restaurant for me!) Everything was clean and sanitary, and we felt very comfortable dining (outdoors) here during COVID. Bathrooms were clean. Service was friendly and quick (relative to the attention to the quality of food they are producing). Owner was so kind and clearly CARED about their food and the experience of their patrons. We talked a while about how their food was made, and he was so happy about our kids loving their lemons so much he went to pick a few for us to take home. We went in just wanting asian food while in Morgan Hill... we had decent expectations based on the reviews, but we left wishing it was closer to our house! Great pho, great toppings, delicious spring rolls, crispy eggrolls are fantastic. Strongly recommend the Golden Shrimp Wontons... so tasty and a good value. Such a great family owned spot. The service is excellent and courteous. They have outdoor seating and the food came out very quickly. The fried egg rolls and fresh spring rolls were fresh. The pork chop and rice plate was very well seasoned and a good portion. The chicken pho was also very good as well. When we're in the area or going to the gilroy outlets this is our go to place! I'm a sucker for good soup ESPECIALLY pho! When we moved away from the San Jose area, I was sad to give up access to really amazing food. I'm happy that more ethnic spots are opening up in the Morgan Hill/Gilroy area such as this spot! We ordered via DoorDash and the delivery was quick. The restaurant provides an option to use biodegradable packaging with is an A+ for me! We each got a combo soup and an order of fresh spring rolls. Everything was very tasty! I only gave it 4 stars because I felt the broth was way too salty for me. I had to keep adding lime to cut the saltiness. This was my first visit to Pho Saigon. I was greeted and seated right away. Nice service, but the food was disappointing. Ordered the $13.50 "Grilled Pork Chop Over Steamed Rice - Com Suon Heo Nuong"....which came out to $17.47 with tax, tip and credit card surcharge. The "pork chop" was unlike any cut of pork I've ever seen or eaten before. Three very small, thin (like 1/4") slices of some cut that was at least 50% gristle, fat and bone. The skimpy amount of meat was as tough as shoe leather. Flavor? As I like to cook, I know this dish features a marinade of lemongrass, garlic, soy sauce and fish sauce. With the exception of the soy sauce, none of those other flavors were evident. Would I visit again? Maybe...since other diners seemed to be enjoying their bowls of pho. But I'd never order this dish again. read more

Soup should have had mushrooms. The soup was very bland, seemed to not have the toasted spices, roasted onion flavors I expect in broth. Pho Saigon is a solid place for Vietnameses food in Morgan Hill! I'm especially in love with their spring rolls (actual boiled pork and shrimp rolled in rice paper with a delicious peanut sauce).
