My co-workers and I have been to this places many times for team outing. There is a Pho Saigon in Hackensack that my husband and I go to often. This Pho Saigon is NOT the same. Same name but different menu and atmosphere. This location has extensive menu, lots to choose from and big space. The food is good, no doubt about it. That's why we come here so often. The price of the food is very much reasonable. The staff here are always nice. I highly recommend this place. One less star for dirty utensils unfortunately. Some of the forks we were given had dried up food residue during one of our visits here.

I'll start off by admitting I've eaten here three times in the past two weeks. There are limited delivery options in Jersey City that meet my NYC standards. Pho Saigon is some of the best Vietnamese food I've had in New York... and definitely New Jersey. They have an extensive menu of soup options outside of pho. Their broth is clear, flavorful, salty and delicious. Their portions are big and their prices are reasonable. I know fried rice is fried rice, but THIS fried rice is amazing. I've had the pork chop fried rice and the shrimp fried rice. Both are delicious, highly recommend the pork chop. It comes with a huge amount of meat, and the marinade is perfection. I also love the grilled pork summer rolls - I could eat these all day. We loved the delivery experience so much, we made an effort to go here and eat in person. This is definitely a hidden gem.

I used to complain about Vietnamese food not being good in the area. I would only go to CA or Edison, NJ at LUA. Now this place isn't as pretty but it's dang good! I would say it's pretty close to the shops in CA. I've only tried the shaken beef, specialty bbq Vermicelli noodles, special pho and sandwiches. I would say the pho is good and the vermicelli noodles too. I would skip the banh mi. The shrimp was so salty and over priced and the bbq pork was chewy and not tender. Thai tea was good nothing special but I'm just happy and glad there's a good Vietnamese joint near me! There's tons of parking too. And if you're curious this place used to be the old Jollibee. I don't have any photos of the other dishes because I was just that hungry but I've attached the sandwiches. When you're ordering Togo remember to ask for more fish sauce if your dish requires it, the amount given is too little esp if you like to slurp your nước mắm like i do. Lol.

Our current go-to Vietnamese place in NJ! We have been here a few times now and it never disappoints. Their grilled pork is the star of this place. I love getting the vermicelli with grilled pork and spring rolls (always crispy and fresh!) and their pho is very flavorful and the meats are always on point. The grilled pork summer rolls are a good appetizer if you're hungry. We also love getting the Vietnamese coffee as take out for dessert! Finally the staff here is super nice and friendly. Always a good touch.

Yea I had to come back, as a pho fanatic, this is the only place that has been consistently delicious. Has not disappointed no matter the menu item. I find that the service may make the food taste even better because of how great it is, lol. But this place is my go to spot and I am sure to make time for it anytime I am in Jersey City.

With some exception, the most authentic Asian food is generally found in suburbia. 'Course that's out of the question for most New Yorkers--who generally skew car-less--so when our car-owning friend offered to take us here for a super-legit Vietnamese meal, we said yes obvi. First: Portions here are ginorm. Like, apps are entrees, entrees are Applebee's entrees, you get the gist. Second: Don't bother getting any boba beverage. The pearls were inedibly hard. My bad for trying to be adventurous. Thankfully, everything else was great starting with our enormous "appetizer" of Muc Rang Moi (salt-baked squid), which was perfectly fried. The Com Tam Suon Bi Cai (broken rice platter) came with loads of grilled pork chops, shredded pork and crabmeat egg--all very well done. And my Mi Bo Kho (beef stew noodle soup) was pure comfort in a bowl. It's hilarious that it'll probably be easier for me to go to actual Vietnam than to get a car to come back here, but if that day ever comes, I won't complain. The menu has at least 600 items, so I'll probably bring an army.

    A nice blend.

My friend insisted we go here. The good is great and so is the service. There's parking in the back lot.

I'll update this when I have fully digested the entire experience here and can conjure the words. TLDR: I have been waiting my whole life for Vietnamese cuisine to get better in the NY NJ PA area. Finally! There's some decent ones but this place is straight out of OC / Htown. Look at the decor and you already know you aren't getting your mid level exception of a trash Vietnamese Chinese combo you see everywhere else in the area. For the NYers this is getting KAT and not settling for RJ Barrett.

Very spacious inside with plenty of seating. Staff is very friendly and is open to giving you recommendations. The Pork Chop was one of the juiciest ones we've tried at a Vietnamese Restaurant. Really really good. The Spring Rolls used an egg roll wrapper which is different than we are used to but the filling was so tasty. The beef cubes were very seasoned and the watercress is very tasty. The sugar cane drink was so good! However, the seasoning of the beef cubes were a bit on the salty side. If it wasn't for the salty beef this would have easily be given 5 stars. The prices are decent but on the pricier side. We are willing to go back to try other menu items.

Love love love this place!! I like that the menu has a lot of options for you to choose from. I ordered several different things from them and everything was good so far. I most likely ordered for delivery and always loved how much food they gave. Totally worth what I paid for. I got Bun Bo Hue, Bun Riêu, Banh Canh Cua, Bo Luc Lac, Pho Bo, Bo Ne, Canh Chua Tôm, Ca Kho To. I liked all of them so far. 100% recommend you to try this place out. Here some pics cause I was lazy to take pics.

You can taste and feel when a business is built with soul. Great team and great food. They also have salted ice coffee, which you'll only find in very traditional restaurants or in Vietnam. Highly recommend especially if you already love Vietnamese iced coffee.

First time trying this spot and it was good! The staff were friendly and attentive, they came by almost right away to take our order and of course we weren't ready but they were patient and came back a few moments later. Any questions we had about the menu they were able to answer too. We didn't order any special drinks but they do offer free lemon water which was refreshing and this restaurant is BYOB which is awesome. The pho itself was very hearty in terms of the amount of meat we got. Other places usually load up the pho with more noodles but I feel as bold as to say this pho must've been at least 35-40% meat which made it super filling. If I knew that, my boyfriend and I could've shared one bowl but I look forward to trying some of their other dishes since my first experience was so lovely.

I was surprised to find out that this restaurant is located where Chowking used to be. The space is quite large and can accommodate big groups. The service was excellent--shoutout to Vincent, our server! Their pho and vermicelli with grilled pork were delicious. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

Food 4.5/5 Drinks 3.5/5…read more Dessert 3/5 Came back to Next Door Provisions since they are easily my favorite Filipino spot in the area so far. Bonus points to them for being so pup-friendly! The Kare-Kare is still just as amazing as I remembered. I love that they rotate their menu, which gave us the perfect excuse to try a few new dishes this time around: Fishballs (4.75/5): These had a great texture that felt more like a fish cake, and the sauce pairing was delish Crab Rice (4.5/5): Really enjoyed this! It had a delicious flavor and a rich, risotto-style consistency NY Strip (4/5): A solid, basic steak. Nothing incredibly unique about it, but it was still well-cooked and tasty Eggplant Omelette / Tortang Talong (3.75/5): Decent, but this one just wasn't particularly to my personal taste. Ube Cheesecake (3/5): You can definitely taste the authentic ube flavor, but the texture was a bit grainy and the sweetness level was a little too high for me. Note on drinks: We tried the Watermelon Lemonade, Mango Guava, and Thai Iced Tea, they all lean quite sweet, which isn't my personal preference, and they serve coffee from Lavazza. But my friends enjoyed their bevs! Still one of my absolute go-tos in the area

Super juicy pork patty with bang bang sauce. Heard there's a chance it'll stay on the regular menu if enough people show it some love! *Kare Kare Mafaldini $28 Inspired by Filipino kare kare, they toss fresh handmade malfadini in a rich peanut sauce with shrimp paste instead of serving it over rice. The sauce takes 6 hours to make, and the beef brisket is braised for 3 hours. Truly a labor of love! Even the Peruvian pepper was so juicy I wanted more. *Bibingka Pancake $17 Every table ordered the bibingka pancake. Our jaws literally dropped when it arrived. MASSIVE, super fluffy, moist, and packed with salted egg (both the yolk and the white!). Though we did find it a little too salty after a few bites. We had leftovers for two more meals.

The restaurant is really no-frills but I still enjoyed the vibe. It seems like they have a lot of regulars, and the restaurant quickly filled up with large tables for lunch. We ordered the Hainanese Chicken, the Kari Mee, and the Roti Canai. I really liked the Hainanese Chicken and the rice it came with was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and was so tender and comforting. I also really enjoyed the Kari Mee. I was so flavorful and full of chicken and veggies. The broth was rich, and just what I expected. I also enjoyed the Roti Canai, but I feel like the bread was a little too crispy and we totally made a mess at the table. It was also hard to dip because it just kept flaking apart. The curry for the roti also could've been thicker, but overall this dish was also amazing. Definitely worth the pit stop!

A Decade of Love on a Plate: A Local Favorite That Punches Above Its Weight…read more This place is the definition of a neighborhood gem--the kind you almost want to keep secret, yet can't stop yourself from praising. Cheap and cheerful on the surface, it punches way above its weight class, delivering inventive, clean, Asian-inspired food that's masterfully cooked by clearly skilled hands--and made with real love. I've been coming back year after year for most of this restaurant's 10-year lifespan, and that consistency is no accident. Every dish tastes intentional, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying, with a clear goal: to feed people love on a plate. It's a super veggie/vegan friendly that easily wins over even my "meat and potatoes" husband--who happily cleans his plate every time. In an era where genuine hospitality feels increasingly rare, Perry single-handedly restored my faith that quality service is not extinct. Warm, attentive, and authentically kind, Perry makes every guest feel seen, welcome, and cared for--without pretense or attitude. This is food that nourishes, service that uplifts, and a place that keeps you coming back not just for the flavors, but for how it makes you feel. A true neighborhood treasure.

If you're looking for good flavorful food options, this has got to be on your "must try" list, I genuinely do not think you'll be disappointed. I ordered the blueberry lemon iced tea, maitake mushroom medley with the option of udon noodles & added chicken, the coconut curry with the option of ramen noodles and the rice pudding with caramel sauce for dessert. First things first, my absolute FAVORITE thing about this restaurant is the food contains no GMO's no preservatives, pink Himalayan salt to season and NO REFINED sugars- only agave and palm sugar to sweeten. I WISH I would've known about this spot sooner JUST for that detail alone. I am always on the hunt for a place that offers refined sugar free options, and with that comes this level of safety knowing what I am consuming has a heath standard/holistic approach to meet and me not having to feel guilty or worrisome after a meal. Absolute 10/10 in that aspect. I saw a few reviews mention the blueberry lemon iced tea, as someone not even a fan of lemonade I decided to give it a try. Let's just say, I was slow sipping my drinks to not finish it all and avoid getting another in the same sitting lol. It's well balanced, not sour, blueberry flavor is present and knowing it's sweetened with agave led to guilt free pleasure. Would recommend everyone to try it, even if you're not a fan of lemonade like I am. Another mention, lemonade tends to make my throat dry, due to its sourness and tanginess and that didn't happen at all. Think the blueberry was more prominent than the lemon, it was really enjoyable. The curry ramen was a highlight! If your a fan of curry, I think you def have got to try this. I actually didn't get it (my partner did) because I didn't wanna be let down, but it was absolutely delicious. I got the maitake medley udon noddles with added chicken and what a blast of flavor. It had veggies, mushrooms, chicken, udon, eggs, kimchi and was extremely flavorful. I was very surprised that each element of the dish had its own flavor and spice that really jumped out, but paired well together. The least favorite thing for me on this platter was the eggs. Just your standard egg, I'm a fan of soy-marinated eggs on my noodles and not a fan of regular boiled eggs, but they are always an added protein plus! One honorary note, is the kimchi. I like kimchi, don't love it, but this was the best kimchi I have ever had. I even ordered a side to go. Another cool thing is the food is cooked fresh, right in front of you. Tbh, we were the only ones in there at 6 PM and food took quite a while, but I appreciate and prefer freshness over quickness always. The rice pudding is light and the homemade refunded sugar-free caramel addition makes it so much better. As there were only two options of dessert on the menu (rice pudding & matcha ice cream) I decided to give it a go although I'm not really a fan of rice pudding. Was it amazing? No. Would I get it again? Possibly. This place was on the pricier side I would say. My bowl of maitake mushroom w/chicken (added chicken being a $6.50 dollar up charge) was $34. Worth it for that price point? Not really, but good none the less. I also ordered a small side of kimchi (the small clear containers) and that was $7 which I think is crazy, but also it was good. For a better price point, I might've asked for a jar lol. Customer service- the workers were nice, but not really personable, which I don't really care for much, but bringing this up because there was this sense that maybe I shouldn't be in there or they just possibly didn't want to work. I tipped nonetheless, but for being the only couple or people in there I thought we would be greeted by everyone, just a simple acknowledgement, but it felt more like we were bothering them by walking in. I understand that people have their days and you have no clue what someone is going through personally, but it was distinct enough to mention- especially as someone who never really comments on the customer service aspect. I see through it cuz the food was great! Something about it was also just a let down, but I can't put my finger on it. Although it was good, I don't see myself frequenting this place. Maybe the price point is deterring me, but I do think it's worth a try!
